omoyasobur: i dont really know if i shld start applying or wait their reply. have u started applying? I have applied at Massey university before knowing the result of the scholarship to save my time later if I got accepted. You should start applying as it will take some time to get the final place of offer at the university, in my case it took 4 months Good luck |

Anyone studying at Massey University? |

Ticha: Be prepared to spend at least $2000 monthly on all your bills and that is a conservative estimate. Rents vary depending on where you live and if you are in shared accommodation. Public transport is not so expensive and car costs are relatively low as insurance is not compulsory. Petrol is also relatively cheap. However parking is very expensive. Most houses are not well built or insulated so the costs of heating and keeping the house mold free ramps up expenses. Newer houses are better insulated and conversely more expensive to rent. But the lifestyle here makes it very much worth it. People are friendly, there is work as the Kiwis re generally lazy, children are very welcome, it's clean and it takes only 2 years to get permanent residency. Thank you for your help |

Ticha: 2. Very expensive. Whatever it says online, double it! Rent is due weekly. Eating in season is a good way of keeping costs down and stay away from Nigerian foods as they cost an arm and a leg So generally, in average how much one person will spend/week including rent, food and other expenses? Thanks |

futureenergy: I also wondered why no mention of the IELTS was made during the interview. Me I'm not ready for the English test wahala, they had better forget it. I think they will let the IELTS for universities as we will need to provide offer of place at our chosen universities, and I believe each university has its own IELTS requirement. |

daudakarimou4: I had my interview on the 27th of September and they told me to expect an outcome in four weeks from then. So I'm expecting some form of outcome between Monday the 30th and Friday the 3rd of November... Might be later though because I noticed they do things mostly in 6 weeks intervals . You right about the 6 weeks interval. But they have told all who did the interview about the 4 weeks. So some the 4 weeks might finished or almost at the end of them.I don’t know how they will announce the results, individually or all of us at the same time? |

futureenergy: You were given opportunity to ask questions during your interview. I wonder why you didn't ask them.
Whatever they pay can sustain a student in their cities. Besides, if you get the award and wish not to take it, you can always reject the offer. I believe this is not quite good way to reply. Even if I didn't ask at the interview, I still have the right to ask later from previous candidates or alumni. If you don't know the answer to my question, you should simply not reply as your reply is not helpful and not professional. Thanks and good luck for you |

Travel › Re: General New Zealand Student Enquires by Tigernew: 4:07am On Sep 13, 2017 |
danielarivas: Hi there! I already had the interview for the NZAID and everything you need to know is in the email MFAT sent you. Now I'm waiting for the results! Since there are some applicants that are still waiting for the interview stage I can imagine the final list will take a long time maybe til the end of the month. I'm glad that I finally found a forum to exchange some concerns.
Best of luck
Daniela Good Luck Daniela, I will do my interview next week by Monday. Hope it will go smoothly. Just have a question about it, was it exactly as described in the email (40 mins)? Good Luck to you and hope we all get good news |

I think now this is the next stage which is about assessment of the answers in our application. How long this process will take ? As they have not mentioned anything about that in the selection process timeline Good luck all |

According to the timeline, they should send emails by the end of June for applicants who are going to do interview. Why no emails have been sent till now? This means no interviews!!! |

kaizenBash: Has anyone received any update from New Zealand scholarship ever since we did the Personality test? I have emailed them and they replied with this "The results are still being assessed. We will contact everyone in due course to let you know the outcome of the tests, until then we are unable to provide any individual feedback on test results or application status." Hope we will get response soon. |
