username12: I was concerned about our overzealous folks at Nigeria Airports too, but I realized that you can always ginger them to enquire from their superiors on the matter. My school held orientation course for us on Saturday and they mentioned it specifically that you can come with either pcr or antigen You can do either of the test but know that antigen has to be a day before you travel while PCR is 72 hours before you travel. 1 Like |

Please advise me, my class start by 18 July 2022 and my medical exam expired by 05 May 2022. is it possible to travel like 02 May 2022 before my medical expired and are you sure i will not have problem at the point of entry and with the airline from Nigeria because my course is starting by July 2022 Please help You can go anytime, there is no more restriction, however, the border officer will ask you why you came early if you come in about two months to program start date. Just be prepared with an answer just like legacyedition did. Once you have your visa you can travel anytime as long as you can give a valid reason for the early travel. Additionally the earlier you go the sooner your bill will start pilling and you start spending money and you cannot work until study starts. You might consider doing a new medical exam an travel close to your course start date but if you want to start enjoying Canada quickly and you have the financial means, you can go early May before your medical expire and just tell them you came early so that you can settle down properly before study starts 7 Likes |

1oak: Wheeew !! I have not been here in many months, initially started following this group in 2020, got my first refusal December 2020, reapplied again got another refusal in May 2021. I was refused for purpose of visit, and the other reasons I can’t remember twice. I decided to give it a 3rd shot in July 2021 although I lost interest and someone in this group that I contacted (one of the popular ones that help people write LOE/SOP for a fee) at the time wrote me off after I told them about my case and what I wanted to do, this person killed my morale that there was a high chance I’ll not get the study permit, he refunded me and I went on to do it myself without any agent. That being said I am very grateful to those that were really contributing on this group between 2020 and 2021, most importantly God bless @frankrobbn1, he helped me indirectly by telling me what to add to my LOE after I posted my refusal notes here. Also many thanks to everyone that share their approval and refusal. I’ll like to add that if you’ve been delayed please don’t give up, you can always give it another chance if you wish. Every knowledge about Canada study permit application I know today was gotten from this group…also some people are really vocal here while some people are shy, please if you have any questions feel free to ask there are knowledgeable people here who are happy to help.
It took 9 whole months for PPR to arrive…. I don forget say I get Canada visa application sef . All thanks to God, thanks to the 2020/ early 2021 set of this group.
Congratulations. light at the end of the tunnel |

Holarjoseph: Hello people
I will be flying on first of April and my class will be starting on 1st of May. Registration for classes for spring/summer semesters will be starting on 28th of this month. Please can I still get my entrollment letter within this time frame from University of Regina since is one of the documents required to board plane.
Those that got entrollment letter how did you do it without registering for classes?
Or what should I do Enrolment letter is no longer a requirement for boarding plane. The covid restriction has been lifted and you can now travel for discretionary purpose once you have your visa |

emonipoint: Hello Everyone,
There is an issue that is seriously bothering me right now And I would really appreciate your advice on what to do. I got to know that I couldn't use the same Study Permit application approval I got via Nova Scotia Community College LOA to go and Study at Fanshawe College some weeks ago after I have already paid C$10000 deposit to Fanshawe College. Now, I have gotten another offer from Nova Scotia to another program, I am at the verge of forgoing the earlier issued Student Visa and start afresh to submit another Study Permit Application using LOA from Fanshawe College or accept the new offer from Nova Scotia Community College and start the chance of losing my initial deposit to Fanshawe College due to their stringent Refund Policy.
The Pros/Experts please how can I navigate this turbulent water?
Since you have both admission travel with Nova Scotia Community College LOA and after you arrive in Canada change to Fanshawe College |

ManLikeMace: Travel gist.
So at the Toronto airport I got my study permit in like 15 mins. The guy asked me for my arrive can, my letter of introduction, my LOA from my school, my proof of payment and also asked me for proof of funds. I provided everything. He gave me my study permit and gave me a number to call to extend my permit if I want to stay longer.
It was very simple and easy.
If you have any questions you can ask me. Congratulations on your arrival in Canada. A sweet end to a long journey. May Canada favour you |

This further review is not even helping case because there are no pre assessment notes or anything to work on.

Hallelujah! God has done it. Got PPR today after almost 10 months
Timeline
First application refused January 29th 2021
Second application submitted May 22nd 2021 Eligibility started May 31st 2021 Ghost update June 3rd 2020 Medical expires August 2021 New medical updated to pass September 2021 Correspondence letter March 3rd 2022 PPR March 3rd 2022 Age over 50 years
First refusal reason was purpose of study and personal assets and finance. In my reapplication, for purpose of study I used sub categories in my statement of purpose such as introduction, why the program, why the school and a specific section on the purpose and benefit of the study. Though I stated all this in the first application I emphasis it more in the second application.
For personal asset and finance, I submitted bank statement and mutual fund investment letter like the first application but this time I liquidated part of my mutual fund investment into my bank account to make sure the money in my bank account is more than the total money I budget for the study for myself and my family then I sent MBS of the bank account and then a new investment letter with the outstanding fund in my mutual fund investment. I also attached valuation report of my land.
Most importantly I prayed to God for the approval. I give God all the glory because after the first refusal I almost gave up because I though age is against me. More so, I have two Masters degree already and I am going for another Master program but I committed it into God hand and He came through for me.
While waiting I requested GCMS twice but nothing was in them, eligibility shows "review required"
I hope this encourages someone. 41 Likes |

ganiruogene: Hello, good day. Please I need your advice. My Canada study permit application was just approved today, but I’m presently in Scotland studying for my MSc with my wife as my dependant. I Just wanted to know if there’s a way to defer this IRCC request I had to go ahead with the UK application because of the delays I was experiencing from IRCC Congratulations for the approval. You have to send your passport within the 30 days requested but you can delay your travel to Canada till anytime before your visa expire. That means you defer your course start date till a latter term or semester. If you don't enter Canada before the expiration of your visa you will have to reapply but if you are already in Canada you will just apply for extension which is far better than fresh application 1 Like |

Canadaboyk: It’s ppr guys! I don’t know if anyone remember me when I came ranting in pain sometime last year October..but please let’s never give up. I was denied on the 29th of October 2021 based on financial and personal asset which I clearly stated here that it doesn’t make any sense based on the substantial evidence I submitted to prove ownership of every tangible assets I own which is also in my name ranging from houses to lands, more than 18 mill in the account that has been there for two years, first term school fees paid etc. after the refusal I applied for my gcms note but put in a new application before it came out and noticed I was misinterpreted as I clearly stated I was the sole sponsor but when I saw what was written on my application I was totally disappointed because it was an error on their side stating my parents were sponsoring which I never made mention of…. I reapplied immediately on the 30th of October with a new Loe, used the court stamp on every documents submitted earlier, added more assets to the application and even cars lol.
Timeline First student visa application July 19th 2021 Denial 29th of October 2021 Reapplied 30th of October 2021 Medical passed 17th of February 2022 Correspondence and ppr letter 2nd of March 2022
My problem now is I applied for the uk visa November which I got in December and committed 7k pounds to get the admission, CAS and what have you. I’m currently in the uk, classes began last week.. can I send my passport to vsf in London or I have to waybill it back to Nigeria to get it stamped. And if London is possible, how can I go about it getting the passport stamped? Thank you for your guidance. Congratulations for the approval. I believe you can send it to UK. You will just pay transmission fee. There was someone in America when his application was approved and he was able to send it to VFS in America |

chuksinfotech: I just received my third Ghost Update this morning, my second update was when I bombarded them to update my medical.
Today, I noticed that with the ghost update, my medical that was previously updated as passed went back to "You do not need Medical". Although, the upfront medical expired last two weeks.
What does this mean, my people?
October 30 2021 Applicant Second Applicant Remotely studying for over a year after first refusal
It means your medical has expired, you don't have medical on file and you have not received a medical request. You can either wait until they send you a medical request or proceed and do another upfront medical 2 Likes |

mama12345: Good news guys, my PPR just came in at 7:46am this morning. It can only be God, I am still in shock. My story is a special one, my Bachelors is Law, I have an LLB, BL (Law School), and Masters in International Business, but I applied for Diploma, not even Post Graduate Diploma, but Diploma in Digital Business Management. I wasn't even aware of this forum when I applied in September, I just followed a YouTuber (Noel Abingwa) and learnt the steps and documents needed when applying for my visa through one of his Videos. I contacted him and he was kind enough to share his statement of purpose/ letter of explanation with me. As I started getting anxious, I decided to join this forum 30th December and it was so encouraging because I kept getting alot of support, more especially from @Makano.
I got this message below from Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship's Office, on the 18th of February 2022
IRCC records confirm that your application was received on September 6, 2021, and is being processed at the Canadian visa office in Nairobi. Criminality checks and medical examination results are passed, however, further review is required before an eligibility decision is made. This means that the case is no longer straightforward and will, in most situations, lead to additional delays in processing. Once a decision has been made, officers will be in a position to determine next steps in processing
Thank you for answering my questions, more especially in the past two days after the message I got above.
@Makano encouraged me that "If truly you are truthful with your application and you didn't hide any information from them, then expect a positive decision from them"
Thank you @PatrickOkunima @olasubomy @mrprolifik @VIKKYIFE @Teemenzo @Time2soar1 @Predator188 who helped give me answers to my posts as well.
I even ordered for GCMS notes on the 4th of January but its still not out.
My Time Line
Submission/AOR 6th September 2021 Medicals Passed 25th October 2021 1st Ghost update November (Not sure of exact date) 2nd Ghost update 24th January 2022 3rd Ghost update 19th February 2022 Passport Request 21st February 2022
My application took a total of 168 days , 5months, 15 days. I DID NOT USE AN AGENT
God did it for me. I cannot thank God enough. It can only be God
Congratulations. Go and prosper in Canada |

mama12345: I was 100% truthful in my application, I also added my police reports for both when I was schooling in England and the United States as well which they said was passed. I am assuming the reason is because of Change of name on my documents perhaps. I have always applied for all my Visa's myself without using any third party because I don't want people putting a wrong information. I am believing for a positive response.
Thank You
They are still undecided about your application, however, the review required might be connected to your travel history. Sometimes when you have extensive travel history and they are still not sold on your study visa application but your travel history weigh in heavily in favour of your application, they will seek more details in respect of your previous travels. Wait for your gcms note, most likely "info sharing is still in progress". However, if there is no adverse finding in your previous travels, your study permit will be approved |

I believe you will not be banned because it is more than ten years ago. I once had a UK visa refusal many years ago and I applied again after 14 years and got the visa, though I stated in that application that I had a previous refusal but all the other applications that I made for UK visa renewal, I always tick no to the question, have I ever been refused visa to the uk because it is more than ten years ago and I have always got the visas. |
