After days of sleeping rough outside flagship stores, eager Apple fans have finally got their hands on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Where are the women? People queue outside an Apple shop in London this morning. Demand is so high that people have been selling their place in queues for thousands, and Apple has been limiting customers to two phones each

Sam Sheikh, 27, based in east London said he’d been waiting there for more than three days to bag his gold coloured iPhone 6 Plus, and was the first customer in the UK to get his phone.
Standing at the front door of the shop he said: 'I’m very excited. I came last week and started queuing with my friends.

Last time this happened, unfortunately I couldn’t get the phone I wanted. So this time I decided I had to get it...I didn’t want to lose out.'
Security staff kept people inside huge festival style barriers that stretched the entire length of Covent Garden up to the Royal Opera House entrance - some 320 metres.
Mr Sheikh's friend Jameel Ahmed, 26, from Harrow, added that he’s excited to test out his new phone’s features.

The wait is over: After days of sleeping rough outside flagship stores, eager Apple fans have finally got their hands on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Pictured are Jameel Ahmed (right) and Sam Sheikh (left), the first two customers to get their hands on the new iPhone 6 at Apple's Covent Garden branch in London this morning

'I’m very happy,' he said. 'The last time I queued for it in Regent Street I didn’t get the gold one.
'I was very sad. This time I’m getting the £699 64GB model. It’s the one I want and I’m looking forward to testing it out.'
Specialist gadget insurer Protect Your Bubble surveyed the queue outside Apple's Regent street in London, which started to form on 8 September - the day before Apple’s launch event in Cupertino.
It found that 41 per cent of Apple fans were waiting in line for the iPhone 6 Plus, 30 per cent for the iPhone 6, and 29 per cent were queuing for both handsets.
More than a quarter (26 per cent) of queuers said the larger screen on both phones - compared to the screen size of the 4-inch iPhone 5S – was the feature they were most excited about, followed by the new design (18 per cent) and the prospect of longer battery life (18 per cent) as promised by Apple.
However more than a third (35 per cent) doubted the battery on the new iPhones would last noticeably longer.
An overwhelming 62 per cent said they would use Apple Pay when it arrives in the UK, although almost a quarter of those surveyed (24 per cent) had never actually heard of the tech giant’s new mobile payment system.
When asked about the Apple Watch, unveiled at the same event as the iPhones, 53 per cent said they would not buy one when it goes on sale next year.
The queue - which had attracted almost 2,000 people by the time doors opened – was dominated by men, with the ratio of men to women at 8:2.
The average queuing time among the first 100 people in line was 13.5 hours, although the queue formed around 260 hours before doors opened.

Crowded: Hundreds of customers - mostly men - were waiting outside the Apple Store in Covent Garden for the iPhone 6 launch this morning. Global success: Apple employees prepare the newly released iPhone 6 for sale at the Apple store in Berlin today. Handsets have been limited to two per customer

One angry fan yelled at police outside the store, complaining about queue jumpers before officers moved him to the back of the line.
'It's unfair! I've been waiting here for whole night,' the man yelled.
Apple had enforced a strict embargo that prevented retailers from displaying the new phones or boxes bearing the product before 8am AEST.
The queue at Sydney's flagship Apple store stretched for several blocks throughout the city and was nearly half a kilometre long well before the shop even opened.
'It's exciting, like a festival,' said one queuer, Jin Sik Kim, who had been there for about 22 hours.
Apple says it received four million pre-orders in the first day, up from the previous high of two million for the iPhone 5 two years ago.

In Japan, the new iPhones are now being sold without a SIM lock for the first time, with huge numbers of fans pushing through the doors of Tokyo's Apple stores.

And buyers from China, who have missed out of the latest iPhone launch, were among the first in line to get their hands on the Apple gadgets.

People with prime spots outside these shops were also able to earn money for being so keen - with one place in New York being sold for $2,500 (£1,500).

Phones › Top 5 Common Problems With Blackberry And Solution by timidapsin(op): 9:31am On Sep 20, 2014
https://loadedstuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/blacberry.png
Blackberry phones are among the best and preferable smart phones available in the market today.
This is because Blackberry devices can record video, take photos, play music and also provides functions such as web-browsing, email messaging, and the multi platform Blackberry messenger service.
But still, there tends to be some down sides to the Blackberry phones, as they come up with different faults from time to time. Just like every other phone. The common problems that are associated with the blackberry phones are highlighted below with their solutions.
Poor Battery life
This is one common problem with most blackberry mobile devices. Bear in mind that you will be using the new devices a lot more than in the first few days and that, it will require some extra juice to perform the initial email and social media accounts syncing.
Solutions;
* If you have 3G blackberry, turn it to 2G only. You will receive emails very quickly and unless web browsing is vital.
*Turn off any features you are not using- GPS, NFC, data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc.
*Sync your email and accounts less frequently.
*Reduce screen brightness and use a black ground.
*Reduce volume, turn off vibrate on notifications
*Sometimes a specific app will be culprit, for example many Blackberry owners have Skype. If that’s the case for you, then make sure the app is up to date. If it’s still causing a problem then stop using it and contact the developer to let them know.
* Get a spare battery just in case you find yourself in difficult situation.
Trackballs getting stuck
Trackballs are notorious for getting stuck and overtime can cease to work properly due to the build-up of dust
Solution;
One trick is to turn your blackberry down and vigorously rub it over an A4 sheet of paper. It does really work.
Phone Screen Freezing
Here’s another common problem with blackberry. It freezes when in use, it might go for several minutes, especially when browsing.
There have been few reports from people about their Blackberry phones randomly freezing.
Sometimes it seems to be related to syncing or BBM, for others, the keyboard is freezing up.
Solutions;
*There might be a problem with one of your apps, but it could be tough to find culprit. Make sure that all of your apps are up to date. If you notice an issue with a specific app, then try uninstalling it.
*Make sure you have the latest updates via settings and then security update.
*Try a master reset. Make sure everything on your internal storage is backed up and remove your media card to avoid any problem, then go to settings> security> privacy> security wipe. Type “blackberry” in the box , then tap delete data.
Overheating
Overheating is becoming a bigger issue with mobile devices as we pack in more power and more features that encourage long term on intense use. A lot of users have been complaining about their blackberry handsets getting a little too hot to handle.
Here is what you can do;
*Use the phone less- The longer you use it continuously and the more intensive the task, the hotter it will get. There is no way around this.
*Turn the phone off and remove the battery so it can cool faster.
*Press and hold the power key up top until the phone restarts.
Blackberry BBM getting stuck on Waiting For Authorization
Blackberry Messenger requires a friend to accept your contact request, to add him/her to your friend’s list. While waiting for him/her to accept, the friend’s status will reflect that authorization is pending. Occasionally, BBM will become stuck on the pending authorization status after the request is accepted. In most cases, it’s a resolvable problem related to software issue.
Solution;
*Hard reset – Another process on your blackberry could be interfering with the phone’s ability to properly send requests to contacts. The quickest way to eliminate that interference without erasing your phone’s data is to do a hard reset… pulling the battery for 30 seconds before replacing the battery and then re-launching BBM.
*Update Application – Occasionally, Blackberry releases updates to address bugs in the BBM software. For example, pest problems with the application, including authorization issues. You’ll find any available software updates at the Blackberry App World website. During the update process your phone needs an active cellular data or Wi-Fi connection. After the update completes, you must restart your Blackberry.
* Additional Troubleshooting – If authorization problems occur for just one contact, your option includes cancelling the request and resending it. As a last resort, you can completely uninstall the application from within the phone’s “Applications” list. After the removal of the app completes and you’ve restarted your smart-phone, you can reinstall BBM from Blackberry App World.

Phones › Which Iphone Should I Buy?” Iphone 6 Vs. Iphone 6 Plus by timidapsin(op):
https://www.jembo.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/iphone6v6plus.jpg

As you may have heard, there are two new iPhone 6 devices available today. And as lines for Apple’s new Jesus phone stretch into the stratosphere (or don’t), there’s a big question on plenty of would-be buyers’ minds: Should I buy the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus?

It’s a good question and one that isn’t limited to Apple smartphones. For the last few years, the chasm between a large smartphone and a phablet has shortened, but the truth is, in practice, there is still a substantial difference between a 4.7-inch (or even 5-inch) phone and one that is 5.5 inches.
https://www.jembo.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Capture21-300x291.jpg

How big are your hands?
Although we don’t think hand size is necessarily indicative of whether a user should choose the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus, the size of your hands still plays a role in what phone you may find more comfortable.

That’s because even with Reachability, the iPhone’s new screen-shifting feature to make using the iPhone 6 Plus less of a chore, the iPhone 6 Plus is just a beast of a device.

It’s more than 6 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. To put that in perspective, you can fit an entire original iPhone onto the screen of the iPhone 6 Plus and still have room to spare. It’s huge. Its battery alone is almost as big as the iPhone 5S.

If you have small hands like I do (seriously, my hands and wrists are ridiculously tiny), even using the iPhone 6 Plus with two hands might feel off. And one-handed? Forget about it.

That said, if you have larger hands, the iPhone 6 Plus, even with one hand, might not be that bad.

Now, there are always exceptions — some people with small hands love a big phone and some large-pawed individuals prefer something smaller — but if you’re an extra-small glove size, the iPhone 6 Plus is probably too big.

We put together this chart to show thumb reach for the average person based on height. This chart is just an approximation because some individuals (i.e., moi), have a thumb reach that is far more constrained than their height would suggest).

https://rack.3.mshcdn.com/media/ZgkyMDE0LzA5LzE5Lzg2LzZ0aHVtYnpvbmVzLjdhOWRkLmpwZwpwCXRodW1iCTEyMDB4OTYwMD4/20b4208d/904/6-thumbzones.jpg

Do you like to use a phone with one hand or two?
Somewhat related to the hand size question is how you actually use your phone.
Do you frequently use your current iPhone with one hand or are you almost always double-fisting it for texts, emails and scrolling through web pages?

If you like to use your phone with one hand — say, on the subway or for a quick glance — the iPhone 6 Plus is probably going to be too big for your needs.

On the other hand, if you almost always have your phone in two-handed mode — or you like to hold it in landscape, the iPhone 6 Plus might be perfect. Heck, you get even more room for typing out texts and viewing videos.

One of the reasons bigger phones have become increasingly popular is that if you use a phone with two hands, you are less likely to notice the sheer size of the device.

Do you also own/use a tablet?
For us, the single biggest distinguishing factor between the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus comes down to how you use your phone.
If your iPhone is your primary device — you don’t have an iPad Air or iPad mini and don’t lug your laptop around everywhere — the iPhone 6 Plus immediately becomes more appealing.
That’s because its bigger size really does lend it to being in a sweet-spot between a phone and a tablet.
There’s a lot to say about individuals who don’t want to carry around more than one device and like to just have the iPhone as their primary personal computer. For those users, the iPhone 6 Plus might be perfect.
On the other hand,
if you have an iPad or other tablet, the need for a larger-screen iPhone 6 Plus might not be as great
if you have an iPad or other tablet, the need for a larger-screen iPhone 6 Plus might not be as great. The iPhone 6 has a larger screen too, and coupled with a separate tablet or laptop, that’s probably enough.

For us, it all comes down to how you view and use your device. I personally almost always travel with my iPhone and my iPad Air. As result, I’m happy to use my iPad Air when the need arises to type longer documents or to spend more time watching videos.

My husband, on the other hand, really only likes to have one device with him. In fact, he frequently carries his iPad mini around in his pocket and uses it almost as a phone. The iPhone 6 Plus would probably replace his iPhone and his iPad mini.

Pocket/purse size
The final consideration between and iPhone 6 and an iPhone 6 Plus is the size of your pockets and/or purse.
That’s because the actual act of carrying around a larger phone can be more complex than you might think. The iPhone 6 will barely fit in some of my smaller handbags. The iPhone 6 Plus? Forget about it.

My iPhone 5S doesn’t fit in my front pockets and still peeks out a bit of my back jeans pockets. The iPhone 6 won’t be decidedly worse, but it’ll be more snug. I would have to take a time machine back to 1998 and put on some cargo pants to get pockets big enough for an iPhone 6 Plus.

And yet plenty of jacket pockets will hold an iPhone 6 Plus quite comfortably. Likewise, the iPhone 6 Plus will fit just fine in medium hand bags and larger

Human civilization has been on the Earth for a long time (and the Earth was around for even longer than that).

So it would make sense that there are mysteries surrounding ancient civilizations… so much happened, yet we have documentation of what or why.

Here are 10 mysterious and strange discoveries made in archaeology. Science has yet to fully explain them (or if it has, there is plenty of room for doubt). It’s hard to speculate as to the truth of the situation, but it’s also impossible to dismiss them as hoaxes.

10. Interlocking Stones at Puma

In Bolivia, there is a large temple complex that includes perfectly interlocking stones from the Inca civilisation. In Inca traditions because it is believed to be the site where the world was created. This stonework is so precise, it’s unknown how it was possibly built so long ago.

9. Baghdad Battery

A few of these items have been found, also referred to as the Parthian Battery. These terra-cotta pots were created in Mesopotamia and seem to have copper and iron inside, creating a basic battery if there were electrolytes present.

8. Co-Existing Dinosaur & Human Prints
dinotopia-2-huge

Although many of these fossils were proven to be faked, there are some samples of human and dinosaur fossil footprints found together in the same ancient rock layer that are a mystery. If they were real, this would disrupt the theory of evolution.

7. Crystal Skulls

These are carvings made of clear or white quartz and they are allegedly pre-Columbian Mesoamerican artifacts (Aztec or Maya civilizations). There are no rudimentary carving markings though, making it difficult to determine if they really are ancient artifacts… possibly possessing powers.

6. The Magnetic Hill Of Ladakh

Have you ever heard of a place on earth that defies gravity? unbelievable, is it? Nestled in the lap of snow caped Himalayan ranges and silver valleys, Ladakh in India has a Magnetic hill where a vehicle moves up a steep hill even with their ignition off. The Magnetic hill or Gravity Hill is situated at a distance of 30 km from the capital city Leh and is located on the Leh-Kargil-Baltik national highway, at a height of 14,000 feet above sea level.

5. Ancient Flying Machines

ancient-flying
These small models depict small flying crafts or airplanes. However, lighter-than-air flight wasn’t accomplished until the 1780s. So how did ancient civilizations know enough about flying to make models and sketches of flying machines?

4. Radioactive Remains Found in Ancient Cities

harappa
In Harrapa and Mohenjo-Daro, radiation levels are so high in the ruins that people theorize that an atomic bomb explosion around 1500 BCE killed the population. Many people believe this to be ridiculous, and the theories are full of pseudoscience, but people still argue over it.

3. The Voynich Manuscript

This has been proven as an authentic manuscript from the Middle Ages, but no one has been able to accurately decipher it. It is believed to be a medical book, however. Itt has become one of the most famous cases in the history of cryptography.

2. Antikythera Mechanism

This mechanism from the Hellenistic Period is an ancient analog “computer” that was designed to predict astronomical positions and eclipses. The mystery surrounding it, though, is that nothing this complex was made until centuries later. What happened to the technology?

1. Bermuda Triangle

Over the past centuries, many ships and air planes have disappeared or met with fatal accidents in the triangular area on Atlantic known as Bermuda Triangle. In several cases, no trace of the ships and aircraft has been found after the disappearances even after having done thorough search operations in an around the ocean area where such incidents took place.
The most frustrating thing about these discoveries and myths is that no matter how much scientific research is done, we will never know for certain what happened. This mystery is a wonderful part of life, but also frustrating.

Lily4star: And some peeps ll yell at any mistake a player makes on the pitch thinking football is that easy.

Marco Van Basten too had a serious knee injury that put an end to the flourishing career of the 3 time Ballon 'o' dor winner forcing him to retire at a young age of 28yrs while still at his prime.
Abi come to think of it when you now ask them to play, they would be playing like animals
Buh it easier to blame / abuse professional players on TV.

10. EWALD LIENEN

German midfielder Lienen was playing for Arminia Bielefeld in 1981. During a match in August 1981, Lienen suffered a horrible leg injury after receiving a sliding tackle from Norbert Siegmann of Werder Bremen, who silt Lienen’s thighs with his boots creating a 25 cm long gash on Lienen’s right thigh. The wound required 23 stitches. Despite the open gash, Lienen ran towards Werder coach in shock, blaming him for the injury.

9. ALAN SMITH

In February 2006, Alan Smith, who was playing for Manchester United, severely dislocated his left ankle while trying to block a powerful freekick from Liverpool player John Arne Riise. Although Smith made a speedy recovery and featured as a substitute seven months later, Sir Alex Ferguson described the injury as “one of the worst”.

8. HENRIK LARSSON

https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5592/14554949839_c2bc08c3f2_o.jpg

The Swedish footballer, who was known as an excellent striker for his goal scoring prowess, suffered a career threatening injury in 1999 when he broke the fibula and tibia of his left leg. After the match against Lyon, Larsson, who was playing for Celtic then, spent eight months on the side-lines and made a comeback for the 2000 Euro Cup.

7. LUC NILIS

https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2935/14739232114_9470383a34_o.jpg

One of the best strikers in Europe, Belgian Luc Nilis was famous for his goal scoring abilities during his days at PSV in the Dutch Eredivisie during 1996-97. When Nilis stepped onto the turf in 2000 for Aston Villa, he had little idea that it would be the end of his career. During the match, Nilis collided with Ipswich goalkeeper Richard Wright, due to which his right calf was broken at two places.

6.DJIBIRIL CISSE

https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5595/14761449183_3b5b291649_o.jpg

<ins></ins>The Frenchman has broken both his legs during his long nomadic career. In 2004, when Cisse played for Liverpool, his left foot got caught against the turf while trying to challenge Blackburn Rover’s Jay McEveley, resulting in a broken fibula and tibia. He made a swift recovery, making a comeback in six months. He broke his other leg after it got twisted before falling during an international friendly against China.

5. FRANCESCO TOTTI

https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2908/14554951259_25ac6466a8_o.jpg

One of the most loyal players in the history of football, Totti, who captains the Serie A club AS Roma, suffered a serious leg injury while playing against Empoli FC in the Italian Championship on February 19th, 2006. He fractured his left fibula and severed the interconnecting ligaments with the malleolus. He underwent surgery the same night and a metal plate was inserted into his leg. He returned to the team in May the same year.

4. AARON RAMSEY

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3856/14739233364_0611ecc07d_o.jpg

Reminiscent of Eduardo da Silva’s injury, Aaron Ramsey broke his fibula and tibia in a double fracture while he was playing for Arsenal. Only 17 years old then, Ramsey suffered the injury after being tackled by Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross. Ramsey needed 9 months to recover from the injury. Though he never received a proper apology from Shawcross, Ramsey said that he has moved on.

3. KIERON DYER

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3866/14554934328_a785632482_o.jpg

Dyer had a career that was blighted by injuries. In August 2007, Dyer suffered a broken right leg during a match against Bristol Rovers. The West Han United midfielder was tackled by Joe Jacobson that resulted in his leg being broken at two places. He took more than a year to recover. The injury caused several hamstring problems for Dyer even after recovery.

2. EDUARDO DA SILVA

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3896/14741294292_a6fac74506_o.jpg

Eduardo da Silva was playing for the Gunners against Birmingham City in 2008, when he was tackled by defender Martin Taylor. Taylor, trying to tackle Silva, struck his right foot against Silva’s left feet which was solid on the ground. Due to this, Silva had a broken fibula and open dislocation of the ankle. Eduardo was immediately sent to a hospital. He made a comeback a year later.

And NO1

1. DAVID BUSST

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3867/14739234814_00e7a4543e_o.jpg

Rewind to April 8, 1996, Coventry City clashed with football giants Manchester United at the Old Trafford. Two minutes into the game, Coventry City’s David Busst went into the box to score a loose ball into the net. While trying to do so, he was tackled by two Manchester United players, resulting in severe compound fractures of the tibia and fibula of his right leg. The injury was so horrifying that United goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, vomited on the spot and later required psychiatric help later.
