Hello Gurus in the house, I'm planning of upgrading my Corolla with this new aftermarket steering wheel and android audio. The installer claims the steering wheel comes with its own air-bag. Is it advisable or should I just stick with my old steering wheels.

The airbag light on the dash has always been on, I'm suspecting the clockspring might be bad.

You do not have functional airbag at the moment, so the worst that could happen if the aftermarket doesn't have airbag is that you continue as before, and if it does have airbag, it will be and increase in the safety level of your car.

P0012 Camshaft Position CMP -A timing over-retarded
P0101 mass air flow circuit range/performance problem

Check condition of the air filter and replace if dirty, also have the MAF cleaned with spray.

Which of this will cause high fuel consumption rate. One which of them is a cheap and quick fix.

1. P0430, catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 2.

2. P0306, cylinder 6 misfire Detected

3. P0497, evaporative emission system low purge flow

4. P0141, 02 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 2.

The whole V6 engine car has high fuel consumption.
Pay close attention to 2 and 3 as those will lead to direct waste of fuel or gas in tank

What do I need for the stock 4×4 nav screen to be functional again. Just like before. How to connect the fiberoptic cable that enters the back of the factory fitted stereo

So I tried installing an android screen in a 2007 Range Rover Sport, but the android unit won't work the car's amplifier and stock head unit display because of the fiber optic cable connection on the stock car stereo.
Did some search online and all I found only allow for the steering control to work while the stick display only shows the Land Rover logo with showing the ride height and other information it will normally show.

So I'm here for suggestions on how to make the stick head unit functional again.

Probably the reason for the sale of the car.
The options are to either rebuild the engine or replace the engine.
I recommend replacement as that's the more reliable option in this part of the world.

Good afternoon Nairalanders, please i have a question to ask here.

My Wife drives a 2006 XLE Toyota camry V6, some 2 months ago the car started overheating and due to the lack of trust i have for my mechanic i had to try another mechanic for sake of second opinion. Well they wasted a bunch of my time without result so i had to go back to my mechanic, and he told me there is something he would do and the car will stop overheating. Well he accessed something around the compartment of the engine close to the inlet hose of the radiator and from no where the car stopped over heating. I have been asking him what he did and he kept on saying he is not going to tell me.

Well from no where the car started vibrating when you accelerate and this same mechanic told me that its the shaft (The side to the Gear box ) and also when you decelerate and try to accelerate again the car gives some squeaky sound like the engine is cranking and oga said the top gasket is flat.

Out of curiosity i took the car for a diagnosis the car never detected a flat top gasket or dead shaft but instead it showed that the thermostat is malfunctioning, which i suspect oga mechanic had by passed without telling me.

My question now is that if a car has a flat top gasket or any other related mechanical issue like bad shaft can it be detected by diagnostic kit?

Sorry for my long epistle please help me so that this man does not knock my engine.

1. Thermostat was removed.
That's what he did around the inlet hose.
2. Scan result can show that vehicle is operating at temperature below threshold.
3. Compression test on all cylinders will show if there's compression loss and that will help in knowing if the gasket is burnt or not.
4. Visual inspection and drivability issues are best in diagnosis of shaft issues

2006 to date are all good
It's a 3.5l V6 engine car, decent but don't expect to run on same gas mileage as a corolla...
It's big and durable. Body parts are abit scarce and pricey and it's fun to drive...

Hi the engineers in the house, i need your help seriously..

I bought this ford rangers 2012 from a company that it has a faulty top cylinder & not moving . So after i bought it i tow it to my mechanic and he fixed it by changing the top gasket or top cylinder, (i dnt really know) & it works for just 5days when it started over hitting & other malfunctioning.

So i took to other mechanics and open it, only for him to tell me that my mechanic did a bad job, that d car should rather be taken to a diesel mechanic for proper repair instead of my mechanic (a petrol mechanic).

So now d mechanic opened it & be given unnecessary bill (cost)
Now d bill he gives me is too much & i need d following here

1. A good diesel mechanic in Lagos as i base in ajah
2. How much can d top gasket cost
3. How much can i get Cylinder assy benjohn (thats d name he called it)
4. What can be d solution to this problem as d oil now mixed with water
