For some who will not fall prey of your baseless gossip, your post will be as one of those rants, but for others who are depending heavily on this thread for solid info, they won't have to open their mouth before you receive showers of curses. As far as I'm concerned, this post is baseless and should be ignored. The test was previously fixed for last weekend, but couldn't hold because of Osun state election. A clear date is being determined for the fix. Sms invitation may come at short notice. But for now, if there is/are anything undergoing screening or already in camp presently, such must be your imaginative minds getting pre-screening, or better still, huge mosquitoes arriving camp for rehearsals ahead of your arrival. Stay hopeful pals.

Be careful, scammers and fraudsters are also effectively utilizing the ongoing sss excersise to recruite highly potential and prospective Mugun(s). Even those with "long legs" will still have to go through the normal test,interview,verification,medicals,registration,training, I.T(possibly), certification,appointment and resumption. Don't fall easy prey.

It is true that some people have been receiving Invites for the test. However if you are yet to receive yours, don't panic, there is no assurance that it will be a uniform test nationwide, Kogi seems to be one of the first few Commands that has started sending invites, relax, and put your preparation in a higher gear, other states will join probably next week.

For those who are still confused on what to read, I've said it before, Please focus on general current affairs, both locally and international, read up about your state,( geaographical allocations, senatoria districts, key politicians in your state, and dominant traditional rulers as well ) read up past and present of SSS, if possible, know somethings on DIA and NIA too, sharpen your essay writing skills, key abbreviations and meanings, and if you must go into maths, well you can try your hands on that too, though SSS does not really test/care if you have the brain of albert einsten or the foresight of Isaac Newton.

Another notable thing that most do overlook is "handwriting". Pls. As much as you can, make sure there is clear distinction between your writeup and a worried chicken's incscriptions. Lastly, no matter how lengthy or rich your epistle is, pls don't call for extra paper, trust me, those that will assess your papers are normal staffs not lecturers and may not have the grace of investing extra strength on your supposed "Special Manual of solving security issues in Nigeria" If you are really interested in thesis or lengthy work, go back to school.

I will drop more when I know more, but there's so much hidden inbetween the lines if you look closely, can't say more than this mates..

No bro, you have to process your recruitment through your state of origin. Only documents of successful applicants who has passed the written test will be forwarded to the Head Quaters for the second phase of the processing.

Your information is not correct, kindly re-confirm from your source to be sure you're not the one mis-leading. Written test should/would/about to have been concluded by the supposed 2nd week in august in your claim.

My brother, there is official closing date and there is un-official closing date. If your "leg" isn't that strong, pls endeavour to make d submission on tuesday which I suppose is d official closing date.However, some states didn't commence the acceptance of applications on time, one can't be so sure that they will extend their collection duration Its always better to submit during the regular time than play risks. Pls try to do that on tuesday latest bro.

I am sincerely sorry for the long silence especially around the much anticipated period, for some reasons beyond my understanding, I couldn't access my nairaland account, eventually after successful access, I couldn't locate this thread in good time. My utmost apology once again.

Please if u have not yet dropped your application, do so, and according to other great minds that has been updating the house on same issue., collection of applications will be stopped officially in the new week.

Further info received makes it clear that potential candidates will start receiving sms invitation for written test about 2 weeks after closure of application phase.

The written test is most likely coming up around 1st week in august, and questions as usual will be based on cuRrent affairs generally, you should also be very conversant with internal affairs within your state of origin including chieftaincy matters, candidates should brush up their writing skills, composition, construction, and articulation, as it is most likely that essay addressing security issues be asked. You can lay your hands on some GMAT calculations, quantitative aptitude and verbal reasoning too though its only a probability of 10 out of 100% that calculation will be asked.

This is what I know for now, and as soon as I know more, I won't leave you out. I'm back !!
