Ogagwa1992, where in the ambassador’s statement did he/she criticize the tribunal ruling. Even, if English is your fifth language, there is nowhere in the statement where the tribunal judgement was addressed. You must have attended class under an iroko tree somewhere in your village. Always learn to read and comprehend before making a statement
The U.S. Mission in Nigeria has raised concerns about the recent tribunal ruling regarding the Edo gubernatorial election, claiming that the electoral process was fraught with irregularities. In a statement shared on the Embassy’s official X account, officials pointed to "serious lapses in the collation process" that have alarmed civil society groups and election observers alike. Ambassador Mills reiterated his earlier comments from September 24, underlining the necessity of transparency and due process to maintain public confidence in democratic institutions. "The United States reaffirms our commitment to supporting free, fair, transparent, and credible elections in Nigeria," stated the ambassador. As the appeal process continues, the U.S. Mission is closely monitoring the situation and has urged the judiciary to uphold democratic principles and the rule of law. Civil society organizations have also voiced their discontent with the September 21 Edo governorship election, accusing the ruling party of electoral fraud in favor of the candidate, Okpebholo. https://x.com/usinnigeria/status/1908144277126787241?s=48&t=QVPjfrcX4vrhK69byFEyjw
|
Omega009, the man from the land of rising wailers, wail on! OMEGA009: |
False prophets everywhere, especially this one from the land of wailing wailers! Handsome777: |
Obi can rant and wail all he wants. When he ran for the governor, can he vouch that he didn't rig elections. But then what can you expect from a third-class graduate of an irrelevant coursework that came in a distant third in an election, and still wants to be declared the President. fergie001: |
It is about time that the electorate exercise their conditional power and recall these dishonourable honourables collecting constituency fund and yet did nothing to show for it. Stopping corruption in its track starts from the common man. Islie: |
See this dishonorable honorable bunch of clowns. FuglyGurl: |
It is only in Nigeria where people celebrate mediocrity. These government owned refineries need to be privatized. Dangote has put them to shame. Editorialtimes: |
Onanuga is correct, he should have added the ObiZombie cretins to the list of those to put tape on their mouth. Omooba77: |
No, he is a grateful man and not an ingrate like some Obizombie and Atikuthief followers. LOVEGINO: |
AirPeace is a shame and disgrace with poor customer service. I have been flying with them for years with the hope that their service will get better. I have flew with them to The Gambia and South Africa, and domestically shuttle between Lagos-Abuja-Asaba, all of these since 2017. They have never have on-time departure whether domestically or internationally. I have recently (January 2025) ported to ArikAir for my domestic flights, where AriAir flies to. For my out of Nigeria business, I use other international airline though it will take me longer but at least I know when I will depart and I know when I will return. AirPeace has become Kabu kabu in Nigeria. Very sad because I love patronizing our own and encourage home grown businesses but when it’s affecting my own business and family time, I have to cut my losses short. maslow: |
And they (PDP governors) didn't remember to challenge Obasanjo when he unilaterally removed two (2) serving governors, and by the way the same Atiku shouting at the top of his lung was Obasanjo's right-hand man as the Vice President hailing him then. These politicians need to go for a psychiatric evaluation for real. FuckFuckPastor: |
See how a grown-up man is making excuses for a delinquency. So, because democracy was young, a PDP elected President can remove governors without consultation and that was justified then, but now an APC elected President did the same thing but because democracy now has its 32-sets of teeth, same act is no longer tolerable. It seems that in politics and among politicians and their enablers, sense is no longer common. Islie: |
The coalition of disgruntled nonentities that can’t even win in their own constituency thinks they a formidable opponent to Tinubu? Only in your dreams. So dream on the diminutive lead man and Dalung the drunkard. More failures to your elbows. iwaeda: |
Oga Utomi, the armchair economist, is Lagos situation the same as Rivers? I swear sense is no longer common to this set of people. Islie: |
Colonial mentality. Exactly what Trump wants. No shame for some of these African Presidents. givedemwotowoto: |
Now Dickson remembered that the Senate is made of members that are equal. So why didn't you speak up when Natasha's right to speak was denied but rather she was muzzled and none of you men complain then. As the saying goes, your silence empower the oppressor as it is in the silence of the lamb. The Senate, each one of you have created a monster and have enables the monster in the person of the Senate President. It happened to Natasha, it happened to Dickson, and the beat goes on and on....... ijustdey: |
Oga Adebayo, whether you did it intentionally or not, you have turned SDP to a dumping ground for nonentity disgruntled politicians that still think they are relevant and in so doing your party has lost its relevance. El-Rufai is a bad blood that carries bad omen wherever he goes and he is like a scorned wife looking for a place to vent and rant. abc115: |
What is the interest rate on the Norrenberger dollar fund. emmasoft: |
Instead of condemning those that are stealing our collective commonwealth dry, you are encouraging them. Very soon they will be stealing in the trillions and maybe, at that time you and your likes would have awaken from your slumber. DatNiggaDaz: |
It doesn't matter to me which tribe or religion or nationality you belong - a thief is a thief and should be held accountable with commensurate punishment. JAWBONE: |
Nasir El-Rufai carries bad egg and bad omen to the SDP. Many more defections to come due to this diminutive bad blood of a man. PressMyButton: |
Oga Jawbone, it is your warped mindset that have accepted stealing as normal that has caused damage to your brain. They arrested someone for stealing and instead of condemning such act, you are blaming the President. Very sad commentary and you and your generation. JAWBONE: |
Not surprised at all, because a cretin like you will not understand the context of the opinion. gaskiyamagana: |
Lamido just said it all. Nasir El-Rufai had dug two holes in seeking revenge. All he is doing now is looking for more people to be buried in the hole with him. This diminutive unprincipled man is just seeking relevance and people like Lamido better discern very well and don't follow El-Rufai into a grave like a zombie. Great100000: |
Seyi doesn't need to respond to this nonentity seeking attention dre11: |
There is a Yoruba adage that says, if you are dancing and you have drummers and others dancing with you, take time to pause to look behind you and see how many are still dancing with you. Fubara was deceived and his head swell up to start behaving like a tin god. Someone adviced him that three(3) dishonourable honourables can seat to pass a budget, instead of using his brain, he was dancing to the tune and forgot to look back to see who is still behind him. Adults misbehaving indeed. Delinquent adults. Raxxye: |
Very correct abe backed up by statistics. Don't condemn what you don't know. OkCornel: |
Nasir El-Rufai has made himself redundant and the unfortunate thing is that he still thinks that he is somebody when he is nobody. Great100000: |
Hired pen pusher collecting or looking to collect envelopes everywhere masquerading as journalist. Bunch of fake roadside journalists. ogugwa1992: |
Nasir El-Rufai and his generation born and unborn should be sanctioned by US and European countries for orchestrating the worst genocide of Christians in Southern Kaduna. God1000: |
