merrymum:That's true oh.....guess I m still not myself....na wa... OK the correct code format 16NG0(ur candidate no)(first 4 letters of ur surname with first letter of ur first name)150G E.g 16NG012345OBASO150G for someone like Obasanjo Olusegun NB (again) do it at ur own risk... |
OK..I need to rant..if u plan to sit for IELTS in Ibadan or u have sat for it there and you seen ur result online but the hardcopy of the result is not yet with u, which means u can't update u profile with the test form number. Its simple...the test form number comes in this form "16NG0..(ur candidate no)150G" for general training only oh...by d way the 0 after the NG is zero not alphabet O. I missed yesterday's draw because UPS didn't deliver my spouse's result until this morning. NB...do it at ur own risk!!! ![]() |
@dupyshoo...thks...hopefully I ll be in d pool before it gets to my CRS score... Also....just ignore that guy...silence is d best answer for someone like him... |
Hello everyone...@dupyshoo and all the gurus in d house...I have done my IELTS but not d ECA..I just sent my docs to IQAS. I just want to know if I should create my profile now and enter the pool cos I knw my MBA will definitely be equivalent to Masters level degree on CIC. The ECA won't be ready till next month. But the way the score of the draw is reducing per week is it advisable to enter the pool with my IELTS and choose Master for ECA or I should wait till next month when the ECA will be ready. My spouse is yet to set for IELTS as well. Without any input from him my score is 409 but with Bae's IELTS (assuming maximum points in all categories)my CRS score should be 429 or there about....kindly help....don't want to miss this opportunity... I just feel the draw might down to 400.....if I m not in d pool then na yawa be that.... |
Hello everyone, I just checked my IELTS result and I would like to share how I got there. This is my result Listening 9 Reading. 8.5 Writing. 8.0 Speaking. 7.5 Overall 8.5 I used YouTube for listening for like a month then I decided to scrap it cos it just didn't feel right to me. So I went online searching for Cambridge eBook. I found the recent one I.e the Cambridge IELTS 11 here http://ieltsgeneral.net/cambridge-ielts-11-general-training-students-book-answers-ebook-audio-cd/ For Reading I will advise to practise with Academic reading first its more difficult than GT but it helped me a lot. You can get the Academic version of Cambridge IELTS here http://ieltsmaterial.com You ll need Google Drive to download these books. For writing I used an ebook posted on this thread long ago. Ryan T Higgins wrote the book. He's on YouTube also as IELTS Ryan. He has a blog. You can screenshot his essays on ur phone to read at ur convinence. http://www.ieltsielts.com/ For the speaking I used YouTube all through from IELTS channel to IELTS Liz and also this lady Emma 'Learn English with Emma' that should be her channel name and other random videos. I was interviewed by a Nigerian and I made d mistake of misinterpreting Capital punishment as Corporal Punishment , I talked fast cos I was nervous.. (I hate being interviewed), I stopped talking at a time rather than being stopped which means I didn't spend all d minutes required. It just wasn't the perfect speaking test but thank God I got 7.5. I just want to put it out there to cancel the mindset that Nigerian interviewers are strict. All da best to everyone planning to write the test. P.s read the instructions on the listening and reading test. I saw a woman blew away 68k by writing more than two words for ONE WORD answer section....68k jeez! Once again all d best. |
Hello everyone....@dupyshoo and all the gurus in the house...kindly help a confused person out. I studied Geophysics and I have 4 years experience in the banking sector. I left the banking sector in 2012 now working in a recognized company in the country for a year and half now...but my job position is not part of the ones required by CIC. I would like to know if I should apply or my spouse should. My spouse holds BSc. Accounting degree, MBA and ACCA (yet to be a full member becos of experience) but has only one and half years experience in the banking sector. Pls who should be the principal applicant. Again kindly help a confused person out... |
Emerald65:Hi Emerald, how much is the belt now, the delivery cost to Akure, Ondo State and how will the delivery be made. Thank you. |
Good morning guys, Pls I need to know if someone with 2:2 in BSc Geoscience (2006) who has been working as a Marketer since 2008 might be given visa for PGC in Strategic Analytics and Marketing Analytics. She doesn't have any other degree apart from the BSc. |
@bugzi Thanks for that. As per ur question...it is PGC because the MSc is expensive and most university offering the course in Canada requires first class or upper second class and I graduated with 2:2..the course is on this new data analysis thing called Big Data... |
@jojcanada Hello, pls I need ur help. You mentioned on this forum that u ve studied outside Nigeria in an earlier part of this thread. Just want to know if it was a Masters degree because I know you just finished ur PGC from Seneca college. I have a Masters degree nd someone told me I shouldn't apply PGD cos I won't be granted visa based on the fact that it's a degree below Masters. So no progress academically. Really need ur help pls. |
Mayflowa:Oh...really. Thank you....I ll try it then. |
Fhemmmy:Fhemmmy...thank you so much...u r da best! |
Fhemmmy:@fhemmmy Thank you so so much for ur response. I have BSc. Accounting and I m thinking of PGD in Accounting or PGC in Business Analytics. I also would love to apply for PR after my study but the PGC is just for 8 months which means 8 mths of PGWP and I really like the course. |
jojcanada, Hello, pls I need ur help. I read it from ur tread that u have studied abroad before applying to Canada. I have MBA from UK and would love to study in Canada (MSc.) I have 2:2 in undergrad so can't get a school...and have 53% in my MBA so can't go for PhD... I m considering a PGD or PGC..do u think d visa officer won't refuse my application based on d fact that I m not progressing in my choice as in from MBA to PGD. Also is it possible to be silent about my MBA. @ fhemmmy and hotstepper...pls I need ur input too. Thank you in advance good naijalanders |
Hello everyone, pls i need candid opinions here. I have Bsc. Accounting (2:2) CGPA 3.41 and MBA from UK...from a dual programme where you do a professional certification and the MBA will be on scholarship. I would love to go to Canada for Masters but because of my CGPA i cant find a school that will take second class lower. My questions are 1) if given PGD admission wont my MBA make the Visa Officer refuse my visa application. 2) can I apply without including my MBA certificate 3) are there schools that accept 2:2 for MSc. Accounting if yes pls name them I don't have up to 2 years experience in banking so I cant apply for d federal skilled workers scheme.. I ll really appreciate opinions on how to go about it and get a PR out of it... Thank you in advance |
