Just go and practice your letter writing and essay writing. Know the difference between Formal, Semi-Formal and informal letter writing structure. Also knowing how to listen and comprehend what you heard quickly will help. The rest dey very easy. Na English wen we dey speak from birth. I no know why peeps for 9ja dey fear IELTS or TOEFL sef. Except you and Akpos go the same school.

Thank you sir!

Hi everyone. I can't even begin to mention the depth of knowledge i have gotten from this read., its the best thing that has happened since sliced bread.

Please is there any OAU alumni on this thread? Trying to sort out hubby's certificate and transcript and the last time he visited the school which was about 7 years ago, he was told that the certificates for his set was not ready? Please does anyone know anyone in OAU who can help us fast track the process? Kindly help a sister.

I used to eat just 3 slices of bread. Now o eat BTW 6 - 8 slices of bread.

For the ladies that really love bread, you can switch to wheat bread. It tastes just as nice as white bread in my mouth grin

@sugah, ah the struggle to lose weight is real. I have lost 6kilos and still have 9kg to go, no be small matter at all. Is the Keto diet working? i am also on a no carb diet for now and the weight is gradually coming off.

I thought i was the one that didn't like hosting parties! I have found a sister in you grin. I am not just cut out for that wahala for a one year old birthday. School fees is not even smiling in this part of lagos i live so i have my priorities right.

@chanbaby, What was the woman thinking? its only at weddings you are dashed money o, nobody send you for birthday.

My dear sisters, how are you are all and your los?

My baby will be 9 months in a week ad we never still see teeth. I am not worried at all though, will just enjoy her toothless smiles while it lasts. I have stopped giving her paps cos she got so used to it at a time and will refuse other meals. The only meal she enjoys is rice and its not as though he eats a lot, but i just try to give her anytime we are eating. She also seems not to like beans, the last time we gave her beans, she just kept making this sound like she wanted to vomit and the beans was really delicious.

Now she is cruising so well, though sometimes she releases her grip from the furniture and hits her bumbum on the floor. we have also been very careful because our house is tiled, and i wont want her to hit her head on the tiles

I also want to tell mommies esp first time mommies not to give into the pressure of doing a huge party is they don't want to. I havent said its bad, i just mean that dont allow yourself to be pressured if its not in your plan. The way people have been asking me about my baby's first party, you would think they are giving me part of the money to plan grin

We will only do a cake smash photosession and cook jollof rice for whoever wants to stop by. But no bouncing castle of face painting wahala for now, i no get strength.

I really cant wait to be preggy again sha, i can see that some of my september teamies have received alert. Will join you guys soon by the grace of God.

The red leaves are called red acalypha! I always say a baby hair cut gives you and opportunity to start over and get it right! Look into cantu hair range I've heard good stuff about thier products

As per carpal tunnel pele oh! It'll eventually go just keep massaging and tie in a bandage if you can! You positioning while typing on your work station may also aggravate things so look into that too. Sleep on your left as much as possible it helps me

thank you ladies @babythug and liftedhands

Hello Ladies,

Si i had to cut my Lo's hair this morning as cradle cap is not allowing us to be great. I tried olive oil, epaderm, coconut oil and shea butter, sudocrem but still no improvement. I have been using the red leaves now, cant seem to remember the name and it seems to be working. But i had to cut the hair so it regrows evenly, the patches were just too much. and the funny thing is that she actually looks cuter so it wasnt bad afterall.

Please i am 8 months PP and i still have carpal tunnel syndrome. Please is anyone in my shoes? I hope i dont eventually have to do surgery oh. The thing tire me.

Hi Ladies,

So my baby doesnt seem to like visitors in the house. The moment an unfamiliar person comes into the house she starts getting uncomfortable and if they dare try to touch or carry her, she will cry an ocean, infact you will feel her shivering if someone is attempting to carry her. My inlaws came during the weekend and she cried till they left, i just couldnt help feeling bad for her and them sad What can i do to help her? I am even confused because she doesn't cry in church when people carry her.

Lolzzz... I think it is normal... My DS do that often and when you get to his side, it would appear as if he wasn't the one that screamed. What I simply do is to change his sleeping position.

... but we usually have another drama if my MIL or mum is around. They'll start telling the sleeping baby "Fight them! Yes, beat them very well..."

MY MUM: Whoever beats you, beat the person very well...

MY MIL: You are the son of a brave man, do not be afraid... Whoever faces you, attack the person...

Bible quotations will now follow... My DH and I will just look at each other and start laughing at their superstitious beliefs... DH told both of them to stop when we could not cope with the different beliefs again...

Lmaooooooo. This is so hilarious grin

Viewer discretion needed beyond this point.

My four months old baby is currently in admission at the hospital where he is being treated for cough, catarrh and malaria. Diagnosis is chest infection.

Yesterday he started stooling especially after every meal. He is in sma formula and breast milk. What does this mean. The poo has lump slimy with mucous. They are treating it with zinc tablet.

Has any mama gone through this?

My baby also had this stooling ish when she was about 4 months old. The poop looks exactly the same way as yours and i decided to stop the formular. On the days i gave only breastmilk she didnt stool as much and that was when i realized that she was reacting to aptamil so i switched to NAN and it stopped. I hope this helps

The rashes might be a fungal infection you know. Have you tried an antifungal cream? Hair falling off bit is mostly as a result of cradle cap. Goodies have branches in VI, Apapa and Ikeja. Bought it at the Ikeja branch.

Ok. Thankss

I got it at goodies supermarket.
How's your LO?

Thanks Cappo. She is doing great, getting bigger by the day and i am so glad considering the fact that she was very tiny when i had her. I have been dealing with rashes/ela these past few weeks, its all over her upper body, especially her face, neck and back. I have been using agnesia powder which i don't think is working, but i am still using it anyway. I have also tried red akalifer which i used to bathe her for like 4 days but i still did not see any changes, someone even suggested that i give her to drink but i said lai lai, e never reach. My MIL said i should use sudocrem which i have tried a few times but i am officially tired. The hair at the back of her head is also falling off, i think its cradle cap which is why i asked about the shampoo.

Please is goodies supermarket on the island?

She is doing very well o, growing bigger and bigger and i am glad because she was very small when i had her. I have been dealing with rashes/ela for some weeks now. There are so many patches on her upper body, her face has become so rough and itchy, she is always scratching her face and neck. I have been using the powder, the one in the red can, cant remember the name now and i haven't noticed any difference yet. I even used red akalifer to bathe her still no difference. Someone even advised me to give her the water to drink, i said lailai. Also her back hair is falling off which is why i asked about the shampoo.

Is goodies supermarket in Lekki?

On the doctor's recommendations for cradle cap (noticed my son's scalp was dry and flaky and his front hairline was receeding...so we went to see his doc).
Put olive oil on the scalp and leave on for 15mins
Use a fine tooth comb to gently massage the scalp and also comb up the flakes
Then wash hair with selsun blue shampoo (active ingredient is selenium...dunno if that is what sebamed has too) and slightly towel dry
Apply hair oil and comb.

This should be done once a week for 2 weeks...I.e twice.
Healed my boys scalp instantly... Now we are patiently waiting for his bald spots to grow back

Cappo please where did you buy this shampoo?
