Christistruth02: Firstly It was Col Fajuyi that was the Nigerian Soldier with the highest Military Award of the Military Cross awarded for Valour for actions he took under fire in rescuing a unit under Ambush in the Congo
Even before he died with Gen Ironsi dring the July 1966 Coup col Fajuyi already had a reputation of putting his life on the line for others
Do you know that on the Morning of the Jan 1966 Coup Maj David Ejoor met Njoku and Ironsi drinking tea and eating biscuits at the Police headquarters after premiers of the North and West, and his top Military commanders especially from the North and West had being murdered and the Prime Minister had been kidnapped by Soldiers?
It was Gowon and William Walbe that took control and went after the Coup plotters
Maj Ejoor was straight to take control of his Battalion in Enugu and when he got there they told him they had been informed by the Army head office he would not be coming back
Iironsi was part of the Coup Part of the coup based on your lies and fantasies |

Christistruth02: Stop telling lies Wellington Bassey went to Waddell Hope College in Calabar and joined the Army straight out of school at age 18
It was Ethnic Politics that made Azikiwe victimise Bassey!!!
If Wellington was incompetent why was he made the Commader of the 1st Battalion Kaduna then after Ironsi became head of state?
It is only first class officers that commanded Kaduna
Wellington Bassey was an Infantry Officer who became an field Officer during the second World War
Ironsi was a Clerk for almost his entire military career They were not mates In terms of military valour, Aguiyi-Ironsi is unmatched in the annals of African military history |

hafeeanubasy: Its that selflessness.
BAT formed coalition with 6governors,18 senators ans 78 HOR and minority leaders in both houses and gave the ticket to a man with just one governor and you think God will not support him in the long run.
God is not a cheater! Lol So, he would have taken the ticket himself to contest against GEJ in 2015?! You're funny The North wanted power in 2015. The ticket was between Bubu, Atiku and Kwakwanso. Tinubu just chose his favorite Northerner then |

Hemanwel: I am a fan of H.E Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. Why? Because he is a first-class graduate of ABU. He is not a Wendell Simlin whose parents spent a fortune on him to study abroad only to end up being a paid political thug, a divisionist, and a stomach infrastructure crooner.
I think the problem El-Rufai is having is that he probably didn't do a lot of aligning and consulting before he defected to the SDP. And he should have done more of that with popular Southern politicians with high electoral values, because he already has the north at his beck and call. And then, he should also have a more nationalistic perspective or approach to issues affecting the country North at his beck and call?! Which North exactly?? |

naptu2: Representation.
Representation is important in armed forces around the world. Various countries use different means to ensure representation in their armed forces.
In the United States you need to be nominated by your senator, member of Congress or the vice president of the US before you can attend any military university. This is to ensure that members of Congress fight for their constituents to be represented in the armed forces.
In the UK they have specific military units for specific ethnic groups. You have the Scots Guards, the Welsh Guards, etc.
In Nigeria each state has a quota and state governments encourage their citizens to fill the quota.
The reason it has been in the news in recent times is because some states are unable to fill their quota. The military receives less applications from these states and it is much less than the assigned quota. So the authorities want to encourage more people from these states to join the military (so that there will be no cry of marginalisation in future).
You are not hearing about the other institutions because they don't have problems filling their quota. Hypocritical take on the issue at hand Talking about representation How many Igbos have been COAS, CAS and CNS since 1970? Not up to five in the three arms of service. Just a state in the North - Niger State - can boast a record better than that. Let the discussion start from there. |

ElevationD: No.
Ibusa is the same as Igbuzor. Ibusa corrupted form by the British from its original name Igbuzor.
Igbuzor has prominent sons namely: ex Senator, Barr. Peter FNwaoboshi the indefatigable Prof Patrick Utomi, founder of the Lagos business school, Professor Fidelis Oditah and Mr Peter Okocha a shipping magnate popularly known by his business name Crismatel, Obi (Prof) Chike Onwuachi, etc.
Igbuzor is an enjoyment town with great musicians like Ogbogu Okonji, Agility Okonji, Nwanze Nwabuwa (AKA Nwanze Nwagbodi) and Uche Nwalama. You go dance tire. Ogbogu Okonji by far remains the most prominent of them all, as one his songs has been played all over the nation for many years in clubs, restaurants, hotels, homes, etc.
What about football? They had Kingsley Obiekwe, a 1996 Atlanta Olympic Gold medalist in football; the late Peter Anieke of the Green Eagles; Emmanuel Olisadebe who naturalized and featured for Poland in 2002 and 2006 editions of the FIFA World Cup tournaments.
Igbuzor is a place for enjoyment every weekend. No end to enjoyment since I knew the town. Now they have grown covering both sides of the highway leading to Ogwashi uku. Land no cheap there o. Admiralty university by the Navy is situated in Igbuzor. There’s peace, safety and security in Igbuzor.
Igbuzor people, I hope say I don introduce una small here. Make una clap for me o. No?! He geographically said the truth I concur with the rest of your statement as an Asaba man |
