SmartPolician: Kwankwaso has always had a soft spot for the APC. He'll campaign for Tinubu in the hopes that Tinubu will endorse him in 2031.
BTW, if Tinubu successfully does two tenures, he will start doing to Aso Rock the same thing he does in Alausa. He will singlehandedly decide who will be the next president every 4/8 years. Tinubu who's going to be an OTP abi na another one?! |

ajailer: My own advise to my fellow Yorubas is that when Ibos are shouting, let them be and when they are tired, they will keep quiet. They love chestbeating.
Some years back, I was having a conversation with these two Ibo guys and all they were saying was that Biafra is coming, Nigeria will break up bla bla bla..... I calmed down and allowed them to finish talking and next thing I told them was that if this country should break up, no Ibo will be allowed to stay freely in the SW, that we Yorubas will tell them all to pack up and go back to where they came from, you need to see how these guys went quiet, they were shocked to hear me say that, and that was when I realized that all these gra gra about Biafra na scam, even if you tell to leave, next thing they will hold on to is tribalism. I understand that they want to feel that they matter too in this country, but the way they have been going about it, even from their past leaders is what is causing them issues with others. You can't achieve anything meaningful through negative emotions, by stiring up hatred in the mind of your ppl towards others. A wise person should know that he does not have the monopoly to hatred and violence, others can hate and be violent too.
The other day, we read on the FP about the guy from SE that wants to relocate here to SW, does that show a ppl who want to develop their region? The fools among them here are based in the SW and will be talking about going back to the east en mass to develop their region just as they have helped others to develop theirs, but the reality on ground is that, everyday, they keep moving to the SW en mass in search of a better life. I have come to realize that they say the opposite of what they mean, very unreliable ppl. Now for the guy that we read his story on the FP, give him some years now, when he starts living a better life here in th SW, he will now turn his ungrateful mouth, and start seeing everything bad in the system, when their presence here is putting a lot of pressure on the limited resources. Yorubars should look for an independent Oduduwa Republic |

owobokiri: What's the bitter truth..? You will never get it.. will you? China is trying to force Taiwan back into the fold after capturing Hong-Kong and Macau. The same China is readying for a confrontation at the south China Sea. China is holding tight to Tibet and minority enclaves near India borders.. All these areas resent mainland China more than the minorities resent igbos
Russia went to war and decimated the insurrectionists at Chechnya. Chechnya was almost 100% infavout of independence from Russia. Putin didnt say "Oh, they dont like us that much, so we should allow foreigners to take over and dictate policies there in Chechnya'.. Russia went to war and cornered Cremea. Same Russia has now lost thousands of men fighting for portions of Ukraine for obvious geopolitical reasons.
The USA is talking up "The Gulf of America". .., wants to occupy Greenland and has basically surrounded her neighbours with pro America foreign policy thrusts. California, Texas them, New Mexico, at a point moat people in those areas would have voted to either be independent or join Mexico, but the federal forces said no. What does that tell you?
Even in the south-east of today, many in Ebonyi are confused as to where they should lay their loyalty! So what should we do with them? Discard them too as we want to discard the Ibibios and Anangs? People we have lived with and married with for years before the coming of the white man.. All these while the fulani are still fervently stuck with their nebulous "Hausa/fulani" fake identity card?
Ethiopia went to battle few months back to force back a break away region into the fold. South Sudan that has a lot of tribal groups that resent the dominant madingas are at war today to keep their territories safe.
And some of you close minded so called igbos are busy worrying yourselves about inanities. So what if the minorities complained? Are they not human beings? If they don't like the way things are run and want some autonomy, what's wrong with that? Are you going to replace British colonialism with igbo colonialism?
They want some autonomy? Give it to them but have them in the fold, since they are all so small that if they form independent states, they will easily be hyjacked by some outside forces who can use them as a launching pad to influence politics and life in say Biafra. There are many igbo haters there? Yes! But there are also many igbo lovers there. Just as the federal government empowered that hateful bunch amongst them, you should try and empower those who are pro east/Biafra.., then use them to achieve your political goals. It is that simple..
Y'all are small thinkers.. True |

owobokiri: You guys will sit in your dingy bedrooms and concort all sorts of nasty propaganda materials to drive your tribal drivels against the igbos.. You mentioned "the letter". Paste the Dan thing here let's read.. If Zik and Zikists have problems with one Eyo Ita and his movement, it has absolutely nothing to do with igbos and the minorities. You can't make that nebulous leap to accuse everybody of hating on the minorities when you are running so short on facts. Paste it here, let's deal with it.. As if Eyo Ita would have even gotten to be the Premier of the Eastern region without the NCNC and the much maligned igbos.. Don't mind the clown |

owobokiri: You were doing good untill you started blasting some igbos who are pro SS. That's myopic politics but I know you won't listen to me. I have met many igbos like you. You are allowing emotions to dictate things.. I have said it here on many threads that igbos who are easily riled up by the tantrums coming from the south south should quickly go and read about the concept of "divide and rule" in politics. It is important because that's what federal Nigeria is using here. These igbos are doing more harm to the "igbo interests" going further into the next generations than they know.
Zik was against the lumping of the Midwest into the south west. He did all he could to extricate the Midwest from Awolowos grip in the former western Nigeria. He succeeded with the referendum that created the Midwest region and basically made the midwest igbos the politcal power brokers in that new region. Awolowo response was to go berserk by supporting anything that will lead to the balkanisation of the former Eastern Nigeria. The war provided him with that opportunity on a platter and he over-did things by committing a genocide in the process. He's in Hell as we speak because of his Hate.
For any politically active igbo man not to know that the igbos as at today, possess both the economic and numerical advantages that can be utilised to skew the general cultural/political developments in the SS towards a pro igbo stand, is a blasphemy. We can't continue to match the "political rascality" in the south south with haughty outbursts when Tinubu is busy trying to use a very discredited road network to tie the south south to the south west like an umbilical cord! It is blind politics. The SS will forever be our immediate neighbours and they are turning them into our eternal enemies, meanwhile an igbo man in the height of his political tomfoolery is yelling "we don't need the south south, we also have oil and gas"! Hello!? Russia has more oil and gas but she went to war over Cremea!
Think bigger... Concerning the Midwest, please give Dennis Osadebay his credit Zik did little towards achieving that Osadebay did the real job |

gawu1: It’s notable that many Igbo individuals who have achieved significant success tend to distance themselves from Biafra, thereby avoiding the negative attitudes often associated with that identity, such as being involved in drug dealing or trafficking. In fact, those Igbo who embrace and identify themselves as Biafrans are often fake drug merchants and traffickers.
Chukwu’s achievements were possible because he did not align himself with the Biafran identity throughout his life. I believe that had he identified as a Biafran, he would have likely faced severe consequences, possibly even serving lengthy prison sentences in various parts of the world, similar to many Igbo individuals identifying as Biafrans who are currently serving harsh jail terms abroad.
