Promise God that the next time you have sex, it will be with your spouse” – Pastor Nathaniel Bassey tells Hallelujah Challenge participants

Nigerian gospel singer and pastor Nathaniel Bassey has urged unmarried participants of the Hallelujah Challenge to commit to abstaining from sex until marriage.

Speaking during a session of the online prayer programme, Bassey encouraged those trusting God for breakthroughs to make personal commitments to live according to their faith.

“If you are a sister here or a brother, you will make a promise to God that you will not sleep with anybody who is not your spouse,” he said.

He urged participants to honour God with their bodies, asking whether they were willing to make what he described as a holy agreement with God.

“Are you ready to enter into a deal with God, a holy deal? That the next time you have sex, it will be with your godly ordained spouse,” he added.

Bassey also addressed business owners, encouraging them to stop cutting corners and make amends where they had wronged others in their business dealings.

He urged them to commit to doing things differently and making things right going forward.

21-year-old US man accused of ending older brother's life out of jealousy over his success

https://www.titopeblog.com/2026/10/us-man-21-accused-of-killing-older.hhtml

A 21-year-old man, identified as Breylon Roberts, has been charged with first-degree premeditated homicide following an incident that claimed the life of his older brother, Trey Cameron Roberts, 23, at their family home in Southfield, Michigan.

According to police, the incident occurred on Monday, October 19, following years of alleged tension between the brothers.

Investigators believe Breylon had grown resentful of his older brother's achievements at work and the respect he received from family members and friends.

Security footage from a neighbouring property reportedly captured sounds of gunfire before showing Breylon leaving the house with the family dog.

The brothers' 17-year-old sister later returned home and discovered the incident, prompting her to contact emergency services.

Police subsequently detained Breylon and recovered evidence they said connected him to the incident.

Speaking at a press conference, Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren said interviews with relatives and friends suggested that jealousy over Trey's success may have contributed to the longstanding conflict.

“The conflict was reportedly related to the perceptions of the victim having greater success,” Barren explained.

The police chief compared the incident to the biblical story of Cain and Abel and urged families to address serious conflicts before they escalate.

Breylon has pleaded not guilty to the charge and was denied bail.

Pope Leo XIV announced that he will undergo surgery to remove a “small, localized nodule” in his lung, sparking the first public health concerns of the 71-year-old pope’s tenure in leading the Catholic Church.

The 71-year-old announced this to pilgrims gathered in St. Peter’s Square following his customary prayer on Sunday, Octrober 11. He mentioned that doctors had found the lung nodule “at a very early stage and is well-localized.”

A lung nodule is a small abnormal area of less than an inch that appears in the chest or abdomen during a CT scan, according to the American Cancer Society. It states that most lung nodules are not cancer and are “more often the result of old infections, scar tissue, or other causes.”

The pope’s operation will take place early this coming week at Rome’s Gemelli hospital, where the popes typically receive medical care, and he is expected to remain in recovery for a week, the Vatican later told reporters

IGP reportedly approves fresh investigation into late Mohbad’s de@th

https://www.titopeblog.com/2026/10/mohbads-death-igp-reportedly-approves.hhtml

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has reportedly approved a petition by the family of late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, seeking a fresh and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding his de@th.

The family disclosed this through its lawyer, Oladayo Ogungbe, in a statement dated September 29, 2026, clarifying that the police re-investigation was ongoing despite the Federal High Court, Abuja, recently dismissing a suit.

According to Ogungbe, the Aloba family submitted the petition to the IGP on April 14, 2026, and it was received at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, on May 7.

The petition, he said, raised concerns over inconsistencies in the previous investigative process and called for a comprehensive forensic reconstruction of the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s de@th.

The lawyer said the petition was subsequently approved by the IGP and forwarded to the Lagos State Police Command for immediate action.

He added that the family was later informed that the petition had been assigned to officers of the Special Enquiry Bureau for further investigation.

“The family’s representative has since been invited and has engaged with the new team of investigators assigned to the matter. The family has continued to follow up with the investigators and remained engaged with the new investigative process,” Ogungbe stated

The clarification followed the dismissal, on September 25, 2026, of Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/363/2026 by the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Ogungbe stressed that the suit was separate from the family’s petition to the police and was neither instituted by the Aloba family nor with its authority or consent.

“The Aloba Family therefore does not wish the public to conflate the dismissal of that suit with the separate investigative process already commenced pursuant to the Family’s petition to the Inspector-General of Police,” the statement noted.

The family urged the police to conduct the investigation with diligence, independence and professionalism while examining all relevant persons and circumstances.

“I don’t want to hear you speak about any pastor again” — Media personality Solomon Buchi calls out Daddy Freeze over association with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega

Media personality and commentator Solomon Buchi has called out Daddy Freeze over his association with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, accusing him of hypocrisy and lacking the moral credibility to criticise pastors.

Buchi questioned Freeze’s association with individuals he described as fr@udsters and sc@mmers, referencing his past association with convicted fr@udster Hushpuppi.

He accused Freeze of being selective in his criticism of pastors while maintaining relationships with people facing serious allegations.

Buchi also claimed that some former members of Pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s SPAC Nation have suffered as a result of their experiences with the church, alleging that parents and families have been affected.

The commentator further criticised Freeze for attending events hosted by Adegboyega and accused him of prioritising personal interests over the concerns of people who have spoken against the pastor.

“I don’t want to hear you speak about any pastor again in your life. Your hypocrisy disgüsts me,” Buchi said.

He also questioned Freeze’s continued social media activities, arguing that the media personality should have greater credibility and influence at this stage of his career.

Buchi concluded by accusing Freeze of caring more about his personal interests than the people affected by the controversies surrounding Adegboyega.
