uwin: Put a call through d coy phone no. There is also an address with the coy name. A position you apply for is stated too No unnecessary tag like GMI/ÇDQ/ that should be enough for u to know is real Also u can put d e-mail address in Search bar when you sign in to your e-mail it will definitely show u when u apply Now, here is someone sensible. Albeit I've done all that and more. Out of my curiosity to learn more about the organization, I had to put this post. I tried to give Nairalanders an idea of the organization, while hiding sensitive information about the invite. I appreciate your honest response, not some knob up there |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Needed In Ikorodu by tizteezy(op): 7:54pm On Jun 25, 2018 |
omoelerin1: You're not serious. An organization sent you a confidential mail for an interview, but you think the best thing is to come to a public forum to disclose it, its name and address while you are not so foolish to display your own name on the invitation mail. Which means you know what you're doing.
This thing you people are doing is very wrong. It is unprofessional. A graduate for that matter.
If you're doubtful about the genuineness of the company, google is your friend. Their website is even on the mail. When you were applying, did you ask anybody?
Asakasa. And when you've used all available tools to gather information on the organization, but to no avail, what do you do? Seeking opinion from people is never a bad idea. There's nothing wrong with that. There seems more to your bile than a mere rant. I don't want to involve myself in this senseless argument. |

Nice ride. But reviews I've gotten about Volkswagen have been quite negative and intimidating. Hence, even though the price is high, I tend to see your price as being toooo high due to the risks I think accompanies Volkswagen.
Nice ride tho |

Who else notice that the white guys wear back boots, while the black staff are on white boots?
Is that a show of solidarity? (exchange of black for white) Or We're being poked in the eye on our own land again?(segregation)
Ani it's more of "Una too black already, so no wear black again"? lol |

In the end though, I think a bit of transparency in deals would make for smoother businesses and a better world.
I see nothing wrong with full disclosure. At least Yankee pics showing real details about the vehicle. If vin is a problem, u preserve that for inspection.
All these wahala and bitterness would not be taking place if dealers are straight forward. Labelling a vehicle "accident free ", wen in reality, it was wrecked in a gash isn't just cool at allll |

HRtechnique: Jesus! Your English ehn. Don't even know what you mean.
Corolla for 800?? Don't whine me jhor. Ooops! I didn't see the price clearly. I thought it was 1,800,000. What I meant there is that I was a bit surprised Civic was mentioned instead of Corolla. I don't know much about cars either. Honda Civic and Accord seem to be nice. But I know very little when comparing them with Corolla or Camry. But I think: Civic is Honda's competitor for Corolla Accord is for Camry. Again, I know very little |

Cosplay: I read those lines and all I could see was:
So, I need a dependable Corolla, corolla maintenance, corolla fuel economy, etc at corolla budget under 2 corolla million naira. Oga Cosplay Going by prices I see on here, a decent Corolla goes for 2.3 million and above. Unless one wants to buy deadly salvaged, over used vehicles or probably outdated ones (say 2006 and below) which I don't like. That's what I think. But again, what do I know?? |
Autos › Re: Volkswagen Passat by tizteezy(op): 6:22pm On Jun 04, 2018 |
AutoElectNG: Most Toyota's since 2005 are CAN-BUS enabled...that is the future of intra-vehicle-networking.
While simple vehicles will make do with two CAN buses...that is to say engine and safety systems on the one hand, and body controls and what have you for the second, complex vehicles will have one CAN bus for every vehicle module installed, as a consequence of having so many CAN buses such vehicles will also need need a CAN BUS gateway controller.
This is one of the reasons why mechanics make a lot of noise about Peugeot being delicate, communication between vehicle modules is no longer via the K line but via the CAN BUS.
Take home point: CAN BUS is here to stay! Upgrade or become irrelevant.
Just as internet speeds have increased from 2G to 3G to 4G and 5G is being tested, and no one wants to use a 2G device today so the capacity for carrying traffic to and fro vehicle modules had to increase and that gave birth to the CAN BUS.
More about K-line protocol (which was used before CAN BUS) https://www.kunbus.com/k-line.html
Why vehicles had to adopt CAN BUS: https://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/how-to/a7386/how-it-works-the-computer-inside-your-car/ Thank you for the insightful stuff. However, if I'm being honest I understand very little of what you said there. I've never owned a car, just started learning to drive. I intend getting a car. I don't have huge budget, just a hustling guy. So, I need a dependable vehicle, low maintenance, good fuel economy, etc at budget under 2 million naira Do you advise I run away from Volkswagen 2007 - 2012 edition ( where my budget seems to reach)?? Or do you have better suggestions? A response will be appreciated |

I'm definitely shelving the plan ooooo |
Autos › Re: Volkswagen Passat by tizteezy(op): 10:05pm On Jun 03, 2018 |
AutoElectNG: European vehicles (read that to mean German vehicles like VW/Audi, Mercedes Benz and French vehicles like Peugeot) have extremely complex implementations of vehicle LANs (read that to mean CAN-BUS)
If there was ever a vehicle that will not accept untrained hands toying with them...the above listed would be on that list.
That said, if you know vehicles inside out, or you have a trained technician who knows vehicle technology inside out and is not just good with mechanics but poor with electrical electronics - then you can drive these sort of cars.
On the other hand, if you know you will be dealing with road side techies, then do not do these kinds of vehicles.
That said, there is a Nigerian used and abused VW that I am trying to resurrect.
Those vehicles are not so difficult to work with to the initiated. Interesting one Sir |

oluwaseunla: "Good and dependable" are relative terms, and will be dependent on a few other factors. You are also meant to indicate the year of manufacture you are looking at and for the Passat, engine types.
However, generally, due to the tendency for us to abuse cars in our environment and sometimes, (depending on your location) scarcity of technicians for some brands, you may be better off with a Corolla than a Passat of thesame year, all other things being equal.
Are the cars foreign or locally used? I was looking at 2007 or 2012, foreign used |
