A common saying goes "A closed mouth is a closed destiny" and even in the Book of Mathew 7:7, Jesus said Ask, and it shall be given you: Seek and you shall find..... A young man from Ogun State in his mid thirties, single and currently resident in Kwara state but hopes to relocate to IB soonest is looking for love which can lead to marriage. He is an easy going, friendly and highly intelligent individual,a sports addict, movie lover and a tech savvy though works in financial services. His ideal partner has to be a beautiful yoruba lady who is also homely, intelligent, a working class graduate and between the ages of 26 to 35 and his gossip mate. She also has to be ambitious, sincere, witty and not MATERIALISTIC in any form. Tribe and religion are quite important but could matter less if that person possess other qualities and has a strong desire to make the relationship work regardless. If you're that person, feel free to reply with ur no and he will definitely call you back. Remember NO GAMES, NO ATTITUDE or UNNECESSARY DRAMA. Relationship is TEAMWORK and can ONLY succeed when both parties put in effort to make it work. Communication, trust and loyalty is KEY. 08133997992. Gracias. Lost over 5k USD in Forex this year. Initially, it was greed but later I fully realised that since you have no control over the market, this minute it could be in your favour and the next minute it could be against you. I lost my entire capital on three occasions just because of a news that triggered the market in d wrong direction by over 100pips. I know most of these gurus will attribute it to lack of money management techniques but I challenge anyone to show me how his money management technique has helped him make consistent profit. Truth is Forex was designed to make ppl lose, and therefore not for the faint hearted. Past achievements do not even guarantee future profits- I opened a pamm account under FXTM, and there was this guy who had made consistent profit for a few months prior to my registration. But a over a month after he lost 50% of his capital, incluing mine and I closed it. After two months of studying other successful PAMM accounts, I signed up again under another so called successful trader and again we lost. Right now is not the best time to trade forex because the markets esp EUR/USD are inconsistent. If you check monthly charts, you will realise this. There was a time when all you need to do was to enter the market short and you're guaranteed profit. If it goes long, it's usually temporary and it retraces after some time. Am definitely going to do forex again in 2019. Only this time, I will be smarter and invest only what I can lose after am sure the market movement is guaranteed. All other crypto trading follow similar patterns. |

Dovehorizon:Dear nairalanders. I have a budget of N800k for a fairly used car for the purpose of lease to fleet managers. However, I envisage some issues due to the fact that am not resident in Lagos, hence monitoring might be difficult. Can anyone advise me on the type of car I can purchase with that amount and a good trustworthy fleet management company? Thanks |
How much for an acura TSX 2007 to Lagos? |
what is the last price?/Any major things to be fixed? |
What are d major issues that needs to be fixed? what is d condition of the car? are u a reseller or d owner |
AK284:Its obvious this guy is just a scalper. U risked a lot size of 3.00 on a 4000$ dollar account. What if the trade goes south and lose everything in a couple of minutes? From the way I see it, its either a demo account and you made virtual profit or you have lost all that money on a real account and ure looking to bounce back. But further guess what, if the case is the latter, you're bound to make more losses because emotions and Forex don't mix. I have been down that road before and I almost got arrested. Also having multiple accounts and placing multiple trades makes you lose focus. If you're really that good, u don't need to start soliciting for 100 dollars to start trading with. What the heck happened to all the profit made from those trades? The problem is most traders see Forex as a get-rich quick scheme. Though the opportunities inherent are boundless but you shouldn't allow greed dictate ur game else you lose everything. You might make gains a few days or weeks but I can assure you that a single trade will wipe away all your capital and profit and u will be left miserable. My advice is that you trade Forex part time not full time as you are likely to fewer mistakes if you do not sit all day on it. Place a single trade at a time with a small lot size, set ur take profit but no stop loss. Do not over trade. Do not have a mindset of doubling your capital in a few days or weeks. Think long term, study monthly trends and follow the news. |
goldtrait:I quite agree with you boss. $5000 is truly a lot of money to invest with a complete stranger. I also suggest that anyone who wants to invest/open an account with a manager should have an agreement signed. The manager should provide his contact details, including home address (which should be verified) and a reputable guarantor. Forex is indeed a very risky business and past achievements do not guarantee future results. From the poster's statement, It is very obvious he is a very much inexperienced and all he is doing is gambling. I have been into Forex since 2009 and I know what I am saying. Placing as many as 5 trades on different currency pairs shows you don't actually know what you're doing( no disrespect intended). Why can't u trade on only one pair? What exactly is your strategy? Is it sustainable in the long run? In 2015, I made very good profits, I turned an N80k account into 350k on two occasions within 2 weeks and withdrew the profit and also a N100k account into N850k in 3 weeks and withdrew. Yes it took just 3 weeks. I felt I knew it all. I was overconfident. Fast forward to 2016, I invested N100k on 3 different occasions but lost everything. I lost my job and I sold my car only to invest. I made over a million and withdrew. I then became overconfident till I lost the capital. I should have stopped but I put back the over 1million and I lost again. I was devastated and almost contemplated suicide at some point. I sold my Samsung tablet, laptop, printers and a few other stuff to reinvest and lost again. Eventually, God came through for me and I got another job and I quit. Though am back into it but I have learned a bitter lesson. I have learned not to place multiple trades again. I have learned not to over trade(u do not have to trade every time and everyday to make profit). I have learned to either set a stop loss or place a pending order counter trade. I have learned to close all my trades daily regardless of whether am making a profit or a loss. ( Trust me,it is not worth losing sleep over and not sleeping all through the night does not guarantee you profit and when a sound relaxed mind will make better decisions). So op, do not gamble with ppls money. Start small and try to build it overtime. Though money is easier made with a huge capital but the question is do you practise money management techniques EVEN IF you claim to know it. |

Long overdue. |
This is long overdue. Diamond Bank, unlike other Commercial Banks have the habit of sacking their workers without paying their entitlements. Rather they debit their staff accounts and convert it to a loan facility with ambigious interest rates. The names of the afftected staff are then forwarded as loan defaulters. This inhumane practise needs to be addressed once and for all. Also, a lot of sharp and unethical practices are being done by the Bank's management, headed by Uzoma Dozie ranging from bad corporate goverance, management fraud, forex fraud, liquidity issues as a result of bad loans, excess charges and deductions needs to be looked into by the CBN before the Bank crashes. The MD/CEO certainly dosent have what it takes to lead a Bank and he was only fortunate his father had controlling stakes in the bank. May God help us all. Meanwhile, lala pls do the needful and move this to frontpage |
Hello guys, Does anyone know how I can cure baldness? I know there are a lot of products out there, but only a few are truly effective. S The baldness isnt hereditary. |
Wat kind of accommodation? Could you be a little more explicit? |
Good day guys, I got a job at a company at Ilawe Ekiti and am expected to resume on Monday/Tuesday. This is my first time in this town and I dont know anywhere. Though i have been talking to friends who can connect but there is no positive feedback yet and my office expects me to sort myself out as regards accommodation. Could anyone staying in that area assist for a short while? Promise to be on my best behaviour. |
Jenny1010:Were you forced to open the link? |
chigoizie7:Quit saying nonsense. Nigerian Banks do not give out big loans without collateral. Granting loans, esp huge ticket transactions is not an easy one and a team of credit analysts and Directors have to review before approving. Even when collateral is not involved, the transaction dynamics has to be such that there will not be any loopholes and the Bank will be the ultimate beneficiary. Corporate governance is not something that is taken for granted especially since the Sanusi era. For personal loans however, collateral is usually not involved since repayment is tied to salaries or a form of regular income. Always try to get your facts right! |

Finally former Miss Anambra beauty queen opens up on sex scandal Since the story of the sex video involving former Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, broke a few weeks ago, several groups and individuals have come forward with different versions of what transpired between the embattled 20-year-old beauty queen and the organisers of the pageant. The former beauty queen was seen in a shocking x-rated video with a lesbian partner. Surprisingly, the video was released on October 11, 2016, a few days before the expiration of her tenure originally billed for October 28, 2016. Every day across the state since the video hit the streets, different versions of what led to the scandal are churned out by the actors, leaving the people confused and unsure of what to believe. Since the scandal broke, Miss Chidinma Okeke, who won the Miss Anambra beauty pageant, organised by the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), has remained incommunicado, choosing to go into hiding over alleged threats to her life. She has also remained silent, leaving her lawyer to do most of the talking. While the father, Sir Jeremiah Okeke, had claimed in recent reports that his daughter had been handed over to a relation for safety, some others claimed that the ex-beauty queen had relocated abroad. But after weeks of keeping quiet, Miss Okeke has finally broken her silence. In an exclusive interview with The Nation, she debunked claims that she threatened to commit suicide, adding that there was never a time such thought came to her mind. She also said her life might no longer be in danger, adding that her traducers were no longer threatening her life, and maintaining that those who were after her life had stopped contacting her. She also said the faces behind her agonizing period in Anambra would be revealed soon, adding that with God, all things are possible. Narrating her own side of the story, she said: “Early last year, the ABS advertised for the Miss Anambra beauty pageant. I heard of it and went to make enquiry. “My roommate was also interested, but one of the organisers told me to apply. I told them I was not interested but the man insisted that I might win the competition. He also promised to give me the form for free if I indicated interest, and he did when I agreed to contest. “But one Jane told me that before a winner would be declared, there were certain things to be done, including the (sex) video. I consented after some persuasion from the organisers. I later went for the contest at the Marble Arch Hotels in Awka, and I was declared winner with a Kia Rio vehicle as star prize. “When I went for my car after the contest, the organisers brought out a contract form for me to sign, but I told them I wanted to contact my lawyer to see it. I was not given the opportunity to do so. “What they kept telling me was that if I insisted on not signing the contract or wanted to contact my lawyer, they would release the video. “At that point, I became uncomfortable and signed the contract to avoid such embarrassment, and the car was released to me from where it was packed within the premises of ABS. “From that moment, I became a slave to them. On October 11, 2016, they called me to come and make presentations inside the office of one the organisers. After that, the man excused some people in that room and showed me the video again. “They told me to drop my car and removed my crown from me. I told them I would take the car as stipulated in the contract. They insisted I should pack it in the premises of (ABS). “I told my uncle in Abuja about the situation. My uncle called them and asked them to release my car to me. Instead, they forwarded the video to him as part of the blackmail. That was what happened,” Chidinma said, crying. She also said the scandal had weighed her down. Amidst sobs, she denied being a lesbian, saying she had never been involved in the act. For her parents, Sir Jeremiah and his wife, Lady Nora Okeke, the incident remains a shock. According to Sir Okeke, the management and organisers of the pageant capitalised on his daughter’s “age and naivety to deny her whatever monetary gains she made while serving as Miss Anambra.” He added: “How can a beauty queen borrow money to pay her driver, even when she is supposed to be receiving a monthly salary? “I cannot say all that I heard or saw. Why was she not paid her winning prize of one million naira fully? Rather, they paid her on installmental basis. And up until today, the money has not been completely paid. “They have rubbished her and rubbed the family’s name in the mud. But we have united as a family, praying seriously for my daughter and for the people behind this wicked act to be exposed. “My family at first agreed not to tell me about the whole thing, because I am hypertensive. But they decided otherwise when things got out of hand. I told them this issue will not kill me because I have had worse experiences while in business years back. “My God, as always, will answer me and expose the truth in no distant time. I won’t say much because the damage has already been done. “Chidinma is a small girl who does not know anything, hence, she fell into a trap that was too heavy for her to shoulder. But I thank God she is recovering.” All through the interview, Chidinma’s mother, who was advised by the husband to remain silent, continued to hiss, and motioning her hands towards the heavens in supplication to God. Two of the chiefs in Ogboji community in Orumba South Local Government Area, where Chidinma hails from, Chief Obi Okoli (Idejimba) and Chief Julius Nwankwo (Nwabulu-Omee), told The Nation that the incident had left them in shock. Okoli, who described Chidinma as a nice and well-trained girl from a Christian home, saw the entire thing as a set up, but argued that such issues would only happen if somebody presents oneself. According to him, “she is a well brought up girl from a good family background and Christian home. There could be more to this than meets the eyes.” Asked if the community was not going to say anything on the sex scandal involving their daughter, Okoli laughed and said: “There are ways of handling such issues, and I don’t think the community will be involved.” Also speaking, Chief Julius Nwankwo, described the situation as a pity, adding that today’s children behave as they like. However, he said that the people of Ogboji community were seeing it as blackmail, adding that none of them was happy with what happened to their daughter. He said: “As an Ogboji man, I am pained that such a thing happened to one of our own, and that is why we want the authorities concerned to look into the saga appropriately, with a view to arresting those involved. “When our daughter won the award, we were happy. For anybody or group of persons to rubbish her and our community is what we will not condone.” Nwankwo said they heard some people had been apprehended over the sex scandal, adding that the authorities should look well in making sure that wrong people were not punished. The Managing Director of ABS, the organisers, Uche Nworah did not comment on the queen’s allegations when we contacted him. He instead referred us to the organisation’s earlier statement. In the earlier statement, the organisers had dissociated themselves from the scandal. Part of the statement read: “The attention of the management of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, organisers of the Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant, has been drawn to a video with lurid contents purportedly showing former Miss Anambra, Miss Chidinma Okeke (Miss Anambra 2015). “The said Miss Chidinma Okeke, who is allegedly linked to the lurid content in circulation, has served out her term as Miss Anambra 2015 and handed over the crown in line with the terms and conditions of The Miss Anambra pageant. “We condemn in clear terms any amoral behaviour/conduct as suggested by the alleged lurid content in circulation and do not condone such. “It is on record that The Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant has been a platform to empower Anambra women and celebrate our rich culture and heritage. Winners of the pageant are bound to contracts to be of good conduct and moral behaviour and to uphold/maintain the honour in their position as queen. “Winners of the pageant also contract to refrain from any personal relationship that could appear to hinder their ability to perform the duties of their office as queen and role model, and we do not expect any less. “We, therefore, wish to dissociate The Miss Anambra pageant from any discussions on the said allegations. “We feel sufficiently perturbed by the mere reference already made to the pageant and hereby state that we are in no way connected to the controversy. “We apologise to the government and good people of Anambra State, our sponsors, supporters, friends and all those associated with the Miss Anambra project for the embarrassment the mere reference to the pageant in the controversy may have caused whilst reassuring of the good intentions of the Miss Anambra pageant franchise |
Globacom is currently one the leading telecoms provider in Nigeria today. It currently boasts of over 34million subscribers in and outside Nigeria. Though, it is expected that occasionally there would be customer service related issues, one will expect a brand that prides itself as being "unlimited" to have an effective platform where customer issues and complaints are promptly resolved. This will boost confidence and in turn attract more customers by way of referrals. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I will share my most recent experience. Last thursday, 3/11/2016 at about 9. 30pm, I loaded 2k airtime and activated the Glo campus data plan which entails 2gb data, 2. 5gb on campus, N2000 free airtime +500mb to gift. I had planned to make a number of calls the following day and I felt 4.5gb worth of data should suffice for the new month since I didnt exhaust the 7. 5gb plan i activated the previous month but little did I know I was in for the biggest SCAM ever. After activating the plan, I tried calling a glo line but I was told i was having insufficient balance. Immediately i checked my balance and called their customer service. After about 20 minutes, a lady picked up my call and after explaining to her, she told me I could only use the 2. 5gb on campus and told me I needed to have a minimum balance of N100 before i could use the N2000 free airtime and it was only valid for glo to glo lines. I asked why it wasnt mentioned at the point of subscription that the N2000 airtime is only for glo to glo but she said I should have inquired further, I asked if it was possible to revert it/switch like in Airtel but she said no so I accepted my fate. Next, I recharged my line using my mobile app and made a glo to glo call. No sooner had i dropped, than a message appeared showing a balance of N53. I waited till the following morning an called customer service. This time, a lady picked up and I explained to her. She advised me to drop and dial *606#. I ended the call and checked but there it was blank. I called again and someone else picked, I narrated everything and after checking his system, he advised remove my battery, replace after 5 mins and dial *122#. This sounded awkward but still I did as instructed but still it was blank. At this time, I was already upset and called again. As usual, it took over 30 minutes before my call was picked and i narrated the story to the service rep all over again. He noted my complaint and assured me that my issue will be resolved later that day. I later got a text that the issue will be resolved within 48 hrs. 72 hours later, I got a message that the case had been resolved and much i tried calling another glo line but still it the status quo remained. I called again and was again promised that it would be resolved later that day(monday). This morning I called again, it took me 25 minutes of waiting before the rep picked and when he eventually did, I vented my anger and asked to speak to his supervisor. Eventually i got talking to his supervisor, Ada, whom I asked for her full name but she wasnt willing to disclose, I insisted but she declined and asked me to go ahead with my complain so she could attend to other things. I perceived her as being rude and with an attitude because of the way she spoke but still i explained all that happened only for her to say ok and hung up on me. I was so angry and called again, when my call was picked, I specifically asked the rep to transfer me to Ada, but he insisted on finding out the issue and after explaining, he transferred me to Fortune Agor, who after listening to my complaint asked me to hold on but later hung up on me the second time. I tried to reach them again and after waiting for up to 40 minutes with no success, i ended the call. There was no attempt to reach me by any of the reps/supervisors and the issue has not still been resolved. This is unfair considering the amount of time and energy wasted in trying to resolve a simple complaint. As i speak, I have not been been access the 2. 5gb promised. I was informed by one of their staff that I wont be given the 2. 5gb data as promised but I will be charged less whenever am on any Nigerian campus. How outrageous! I also tried gifting the 500mb data using the *606# code but to no avail. I just cant understand. When will our network providers be honest? When will their customer service reps learn to stop "over promise and under deliver" syndrome? When will they stop defrauding us by charging us for caller tunes, unsolicited messages we didn't subscribe for? (Other networks are guilty of this as well) When will they employ more staff so that we wont have to waste 1 hour waiting for the customer service rep whenever we have a complaint to make? I demand better service. I pray this gets to appropriate authorities and they do something about it. A concerned customer. (07057796904) |

I dont know why Nigerians are bothered about Linda's marital status. Some comments here are just nauseating. Marriage is a life time commitment and a sacred institution and people should rush into it because of what we perceive as societal norms. Everybody deserves to be happy. Just as there are a lot of married couples who are unhappy, there are a lot of singles who are happy. She has said what she wants and people should learn to respect her choices. I believe she will get married whenever she find her soulmate. She is not the only single 36 year old in Nigeria. Stop taking panadol for another person's headache! |
The guy is simply confused. The most annoying part is that he is judgemental and believes the class of ppl afore mentioned are the sinners. I guess he is one of those Christians who sheepishly worship pastors, not knowing they are humans too. |
CplusJason:I simply cannot understand why Nigerians are naturally envious. It is one of the reasons why we are where we are today. Someone raised an issue and sought peoples opinion but rather than attack his message, you attacked his personality. This same person provided the platform for you to get informed, get entertained and air your views as it relates to issues. Can you name any personal achievement? I sincerly doubt if you have any, asides owning a low grade android phone and subscribing to cheap data plan, yet you are insulting someone who is a pioneer is his field and doing well for himself, someone a lot of people look up to and someone you could learn a lot from. It shows how uncouth, unmannered you are. Also it speaks volumes about your family and your growing up. I think its time we started appreciating our own, you wouldnt dare insult Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook so why insult Seun here. Talk is truly cheap. |
