Thanks for your swift response. I wish everyone all the best in our quest to join shell. However, the commercial graduates on the waiting list, we ll fold our arms and pray to God for luck to shine on us. If you do have any info in respect of hr/finance on the waiting list, please do not hesitate to inform the house. As shell is planning to boost production, shell ll definitely need more engineers, they ll need more hr pple to handle the admin and salary side and they ll also need finance pple to support the production. or what do u guys think about my thought?

u promised to help us (commercial graduates) get the latest from your source. The commercial graduate that have passed srd since august 2009, we ll all appreciate if u can get useful info for us. Thanks

why is the ongoing recruitment for sitp for technocal graduates was not publicised, is not even on shell website, any reason for this?

i just received a mail from Shell not quite long thanking me for my patience and that they are yet to find a suitable graduate position for him, hence my application still on hold until they find suitable position. Is there anybody in the house with similar mail. My concern now is why do they have to tell me that my application is on hold i already know that, what is up now? any info pls?

thanks for giving update info. it seems u have a reliable source of info on shell recuitment. Can u please help us find out the hope of commercial graduates on the waiting list. its been close to 8 months now we passed SRD, only one or two pple have been given appointment letter. Can you please help us confirm the likelihood appointment this year. Thanks.

when are u resuming? is it port harcourt or lagos? can you please help the hopefuls confirm this rumour? if it is true, it means there is respite for those on the waiting list cos common sense is they must assume that they will absorb the outsatnding candidates before starting another campaign. shortlisting for SRD? is this april fool or what? can u substantiate ur claim? SRD is not the first stage in shell recruitment process. If they are actually revuritng is it for sitp or for other fileds?

You have finally joined us in making this thread which i guessed created by you more interesting and alive, thats nice and great. how is work? i guess before we can start to feel the impact of calling pple on the waiting list, it might be around july or there about. Its just an assumption anyway. As Those cuurently on SITP will be rounding off bu July, more support staff might be needed, hence more pple in HR, Finance and IT may be called.

You mentioned something about 2 years, do u mean those on the waiting list would not be called or somethin? apparently they do not need to reapply again. I think that caveat affect only those who have attempted srd but did not succeed.

congratulations. i wish u all the best in your new job and new location. if i may ask, which department specifically under finance were u posted to in shell? is it internal control, invoicing etc? ur response will be highly appreciated. i m also one of the hopefuls for finance and i will like to know from ur interactions with shell how soon the rest of us will be called for medicals. I m so amazed and dissapointed in the way some pple play pranks on innocent nigerians. If you are selling anythin, i guess this not the right thread for the advert. thanks for your swift response. Now that you re in shell HR you shud able to give us reliable info as an insider person. You once said shell recruitment is an annual programme and it is only normal shell absorbed all outsatnding successful candidates before starting another process, hence all candidate will be called this year. As a staff that even work in HR, can u please confirm this assertion once again that everybody will be called this year. Lastly, can u mention what the annual package is? i also heard that they pay 5m on resumption is it true?

I m for finance and ve not heard anything yet. its only southsea that claimed that some pple have been called for medicals. I m also waiting for someone to corroborate southsea claim or confirm it. The info i heard from a friend who works with shell is just a consolation and soothing words that we shud be hopeful.

good to hear abt that. Sometimes you informed the house that u have done ur medical, have you been given any offer since then? Furthermore, from ur own experience, can u tell us the average waiting period for those who have passed their srd

i just felt this thread is too dry and lack lustres. I know this is not the dream of the person that starts the thread. It will be good if we keep the hope alive even if shell job look elusive now, something better may come later. Keep the hope alive. Application is on now for internship and sabbatical leave at Shell Nigeria, interested persons can check up the details on shell nigeria website. With this application, i think there is a respite within horizon for those who are successful in srd since august last year. Nairalander contribution will be highly appreciated.

I just received a mail from Shell saying they are yet to find a suitable graduate opportunity for me but will endeavor to find one as soon an opportunity exist. I dont know if any one received similar mail or otherwise. This mail is coming exactly after five months I did my SRD. Finally, the mail reads my application is still on hold. Can anyone tell me how long my application will be on hold after passing SRD? I applied for finance last year and uptill now no show, Is Shell Nigeria recruiting again and any hope of being called very soon?
