I always have this 'HIGH' when I read Christian fiction, its clean and inspirational, it gives me a fresh attitude to life. I think KAREN KINGSBURY is the bomb she writes the most amazing stories, and its easy to see from her books how biblical principles can be applied to daily living, also that Christians aren't super human, and the journeys they take to be come more like what God wants us to be. I also think FRANCINE RIVERS is great, if you get your hands on 'Redeeming Love', you'll see why @dennylove "why ask, why" was written by John Mason, i think |
Isn't life ironic ? Once upon a time, there was that person, crazy in love, DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYING 4 U, would do anything to be with you, and even though there's was no reason to say no, simply because the person was down for you, you said no for some flimsy reason. And this person was there for a while, a long while, (i mean you had your chances, lots of them to be wit them). All this while, this person is a support system, sympathizes with you, wants the best for you and probably genuinely loves, you, but you're just to blind to see it All ova sudden, the person proceeds to move on with their love life, since you've clearly meant to put them on the sidelines, and once they find that person that appreciates and returns the love they wanted to give you, the scales fall of your eyes and they suddenly become the most desirable things you ever saw. You're battling now to use the things they loved about you to get them BACK,BACK, BACK Has that eva hapn'd 2 ya, if yes, how'did it go? were u able to get him/her back? The Classic "My best friend's wedding, eh?

Now that I think about it, na immaturity dey worry am i was too in love or numb to decipher all that was going on but as he dumped me to move on to his next gal it went like this. "I think we need a break bla, bla, bla, " he went on to recommend some music for my recovery Boys II men' Pass u by "don't have to stay with someone, who makes yo cry, you'll end up killing all the love you have inside, Can't hope to see the sun in you If you don't open your eyes don't let real love pass u by" Referring to himself in the 3rd person, imagine that!!!!!!!!! darn, it was 6 years ago, but i'm feelin pretty dumb |
i miss the juvie days when all we'd do is kiss n touch no going all the way, love was a discovery,an adventure. |
Clearly, worship that disturbs everyone else is not acceptable, not by anyone, atleast from what I've seen here i'd like to hear from the the leader of such places of worship and find out what it is they think they're doin, getting people signed up for things they didn't subscribe to this goes also for all night "owambe " parties, out of control teenagers with their music turned up, people with boom boxes etc the 'issue is not the mode of worship it's the (blasted) NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm Christian, so I'll try not to bash anyone including my church. It's bad enough for ousiders that worship is loud and disturbs others, even worse when its an open air church, then even more terrible when there are loud speakers outdoors for everyone to hear what's going on inside. The churches may think there's something they're saying that someone outside might need to hear but they may have just turned out to be a nuisance. I was visting at a friend's and attended an all night vigil from a distance -from my friend's bedroom, the music was SO loud and the church wasn't even that close. I was very very sad for their neighbours. Also, in that neighbourhood, another church and one of the biggest churches in Nigeria has their HQ. They've practically driven off the neighbors and bought up their property (some 10 years ago, I know for a fact that those buildings, not the church now, were residential). I guess they-the neighbours "couldn't take it anymore" and moved out, today the church owns these buildings. This same church had been dragged to court and their argument, which won them the case was that, in the plan of every community there's provision for houses of worship. I'm afraid loud KSA music may not be enough to intimidate this crowd as they might match it with prayers directed at you(as the enemy this time around). One of my uncle's also deliberately didn't rent an apartment when he realized it was going to be next to an open air church. These experiences have led to to come up with these suggestions: That all places of worship or activity that will disturb the neighbourhood, should be within the 4 walls of a building, sound-proof, with no loud-speakers on the outside, so that we can all do whatever we please , the neighbours can have some peace and everyone's happy. I think it should be legalized Who now's going to bell the cat? |
Personally, i wouldn't want 2 date 'nyone younger so he wouldn't hav 2 hav a msg thread like this (no guile intended) n so that for the rest of our lives from time to time the "age diff" won't b one of those 'issues' i also dont want folks to do mental maths on his '50th birthday' n are like ", wait a minute, weren't we at Tolu's 50th like 5 years ago?" ![]() thers's also the thing they say about women aging earlier, while men grow to be more dignified in their looks. but that's ME! it shouldnt b a big deal if u can handl it n if d both of u can b mature about it n treat each other with mutual respect regardless. besides many couples hav, and stay together for many many years wish u the best |
