Those who buy and use such phones give it crash helmet and bullet proof jacket in the form of tempered glass screen guard and solid phone casing to avoid stories that touch.

I have been using my homtom ht17 for 1year 4months now without helmet and bullet proof jacket. It falls at least 2 times in a week. I'm currently using it to reply you. These phones are not only cheap but with good build and are durable too.

Honestly, this is my best purchase online.

pros:
-Phone is rugged and strong. I can't count the number of times it dropped and it still works fine. I have a screen protector on it though but everything is still intact and strong.
-Standby time is good. If you use your phone for basically phone calls and messages then you go online few times then it will last you the entire day without issues.
-fingerprint scanner is fast and good.
-picks up 4G network like charm.
-led notification light is a good plus.
-back camera is good.

cons:
-speaker volume is low. sometimes I don't know my phone is ringing when it is in my pocket.
-front camera is below average (my opinion)
-took a while to figure out how to root it.

overall, its good value for money. I'll give it 8.5/10

I have successfully rooted mine now oh but I can't get xposed framework to work on it. After flashing it through twrp, my phone won't pass the boot logo. I flashed the correct one (armx64) but still, no success. I looked online and found its a common problem with homtom ht17.

now my rooting stress is useless.
