Source: http://tbthealth..com/2015/06/essential-foods-that-makes-our-brain.html?m=1 One of the things that can also help and kill your brain are your diets, the foods you eat. The listed and explained are foods that helps your brain. Get orientated. - Caffeine There's no magic bullet to boost IQ or make you smarter -- but certain substances, like caffeine, can energize you and help you concentrate. Found in coffee, chocolate, energy drinks, and some medications, caffeine gives you that unmistakable wake-up buzz, though the effects are short-term. And more is often less: Overdo it on caffeine and it can make you jittery and uncomfortable. - Sugar Sugar is your brain's preferred fuel source -- not table sugar, but glucose, which your body processes from the sugars and carbs you eat. That's why a glass of something sweet to drink can offer a short-term boost to memory, thinking, and mental ability. Have too much, though, and memory can be impaired -- along with the rest of you. Go easy on the sugar so it can enhance memory without packing on the pounds. - Fish A protein source linked to a great brain boost is fish -- rich in omega-3 fatty acids that are key for brain health. These healthy fats have amazing brain power: A diet with higher levels of them has been linked to lower dementia and stroke risks and slower mental decline; plus, they may play a vital role in enhancing memory, especially as we get older. For brain and heart health, eat two servings of fish weekly. - Nuts and Chocolate Nuts and seeds are good sources of the antioxidant vitamin E, which is linked to less cognitive decline as you age. Dark chocolate also has other powerful antioxidant properties, and it contains natural stimulants like caffeine, which can enhance focus. Enjoy up to an ounce a day of nuts and dark chocolate to get all the benefits you need without excess calories, fat, or sugar. - Avocados and Whole Grains Every organ in the body depends on blood flow, especially the heart and brain. A diet high in whole grains and fruits like avocados can cut the risk of heart disease and lower bad cholesterol. This reduces your risk of plaque buildup and enhances blood flow, offering a simple, tasty way to fire up brain cells. Whole grains, like popcorn and whole wheat, also contribute dietary fiber and vitamin E. Though avocados have fat, it's the good-for- you, monounsaturated fat that helps with healthy blood flow. - Blueberries Research in animals shows that blueberries may help protect the brain from the damage caused by free radicals and may reduce the effects of age-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Studies also show that diets rich in blueberries improved both the learning and muscle function of aging rats, making them mentally equal to much younger rats. CC: lalasticlala, Ishilove |

Miscarriage is a very bad thing. Imagine been pregnant for 6 months, just 3 months to your day of joy, you have miscarriage. Waste!. May God help us all. So as to prevent this tragedy, we are imploring you on foods and fruits you shouldn't take during your pregnancy stage. - Crabs Crab has a high level of nutrients, provides a rich source of calcium that helps strengthen bones and teeth; it’s also a favorite food of many pregnant women when summer comes. However, no matter how you love eating crabs, you need to limit eating them in the first 3 months of pregnancy. That’s because crabs can cause the uterus to shrink, which leads to genital bleeding or even miscarriage. Besides, the content of cholesterol in crabs is very high. Pregnant women who have high blood pressure, Pre-eclampsia shouldn’t eat crabs. Crab has a high level of nutrients. - Tortoise Have you ever heard about the harmful effects from eating crabs during pregnancy? Tortoise is good for the kidney, but it’s also fishy and cold, and able to remove tumor, clear the vein. So, tortoise has certain harmfulness to pregnant women, particularly, the tortoise’s leg can cause miscarriage more easily than its meat. - Pineapple Pregnant women in the first 3 months of pregnancy shouldn’t eat and drink too much pineapple juice because this fruit can cause contraction which leads to miscarriage; cause diarrhea or allergy to pregnant women. The reason is that pineapple has bromelain which is able to soften the uterus and produces aborticide. However, after this period of time, pregnant women can eat a moderate and sensible amount of pineapple. In the first 3 months of pregnancy, women shouldn’t eat pineapple. - Pearl barley The pearl barley contains lots of amino acid that is necessary to the body. Eating lots of pearl barley can provide the energy consumed because of the high temperature on hot days and improve resistance power. For women, having a sensible amount of pearl barley can help them have a bright, smooth skin, reduce wrinkles, remove freckles and brown spots. - Purslain The purslain is easy to grow, take care of and find. It’s a herbal remedy and food and has cold nature. In fact, it’s proved that the purslain can make quite a stimulation on the uterus and increase the time and intensity of the uterus‘s elasticity, which produce the risk of miscarriage. - Medlar The Medlar has an ability to excite the uterus and stimulate the elasticity. The Medlar has sour, acrid and sweet flavors that are very suitable for pregnant women with their morning sickness, but it’s not good indeed. According to documents, the Medlar has an ability to excite the uterus and stimulate the elasticity, causing miscarriage and pre-mature birth. - Caffeine drinks In pregnancy, if women use caffeine drinks usually (coffee, tea, coke, tonic, soda, cocktail…), they’ll have a risk of increasing heart rate and blood pressure, which leads to insomnia and headache. Not only that, it also affects the fetus’s development, which produces the risk of miscarriage and premature birth. - Longan Longan is delicious and has sweet smell and flavor. However, this is one of the foods that pregnant women shouldn’t eat. That’s because while pregnant, women often feel hot from inside and constipation. Eating lots of longans will increase the hot feelings, times of fetal derangement, bleeding inside, lower abdomen pain, or even damage the fetus, which leads to miscarriage. Longan causes hot flashes which is not good for pregnant women. - Unpasteurized milk The unpasteurized or fresh milk is milk that hasn’t been through processing. It’s not popular in the market. In the unpasteurized milk, there’re listeria bacteria which can increase the risk of miscarriage. - Green papaya A lot of researches have showed that green papayas or not-really-ripe ones contain lots of enzyme and pus, which causes gestational contractions and miscarriage. Moreover, green papayas contain prostaglandin and oxytocin that are essential substances to prepare for the delivery. So, when the fetus isn’t old enough, eating green papayas can cause miscarriage. - Aloe Aloe can cause pelvic hemorrhage. Aloe is considered to be magical remedy for women’s beauty; it helps take care of all kinds of skin, prevent wrinkles and lose weight. However, pregnant women shouldn’t drink aloe juice because it can lead to pelvic hemorrhage or even miscarriage. - Barley Barley is a grain that is processed into many nutritious products. However, barley can stimulate uterus’s smooth muscles, causing miscarriage. - Animal liver The animal liver can harm pregnant women because it’ll contain lots of toxic products if the animal is infected with diseases. Besides, liver has plenty of cholesterol and vitamin A. If pregnant women eat too much liver while using drugs or other nutritious products, they can have excess vitamin which badly affect babies. - Foods that have plenty of vitamin A It’s important to avoid vitamin A in pregnancy because it can cause bad effects and damages to the fetus. Pregnant women should avoid eating foods that contain a great amount of vitamin A (liver…). - Processed meat The processed meat including sausage, pate, stuffed food… must be avoided during pregnancy. According to the latest research, eating too much processed meat can harm the fetus. In the worse situation, it can cause fetal poisoning or lead to miscarriage. Pregnant women who crave this food should only eat a small amount of it and take notice of the temperature that the food is processed in for safety. Pregnant women shouldn’t eat raw or uncooked foods. - Uncooked meat The toxoplasmosis parasite is able to live in uncooked meat and cause some complication like miscarriage, stillbirth, and others when pregnant women are in their first 3 months of pregnancy. You should cook meat well and carefully process foods to get rid of the parasites in it. - Raw, uncooked eggs Raw or uncooked eggs can be infected with salmonella which brings trouble to pregnant women and their fetus. Salmonella can go through the placenta and cause severe infection or even death to the fetus. You’d better avoid foods including uncooked eggs like salad, homemade ice-cream, mayonnaise… When cooking eggs, you should make sure that both of the egg yolk and white are well done. - Cheese Cheese is not really a safe food for pregnant women to eat. Cheese is not really a safe food for pregnant women to eat. Cheeses should be avoid during pregnancy, such as: cheese camembe, cheese rocopho, feta cheese, Gorgonzola cheese and other Mexican cheeses. Source: http://tbthealth..in/2015/06/detailed-causes-of-low-sperm-count.html?m=1 We all want to have sex(The most enjoyable), But, we do not advice you to have premarital sex. Now, what happens when you ready for the bang but.... See causes of low sperm count below... The production of sperm is a complex process and requires normal functioning of the testicles (testes) as well as the hypothalamus and pituitary glands — organs in your brain that produce hormones that trigger sperm production. Once sperm are produced in the testicles, delicate tubes transport them until they mix with semen and are ejaculated out of the penis. Problems with any of these systems can affect sperm production. Also, there may be problems of abnormal sperm shape (morphology), movement (motility) or function. Often the cause of low sperm count isn't ever identified. Medical causes Low sperm count can be caused by a number of health issues and medical treatments. Some of these include: - Varicocele . A varicocele (VAR-ih-koe-seel) is a swelling of the veins that drain the testicle. It's a common cause of male infertility. This may prevent normal cooling of the testicle, leading to reduced sperm count and fewer moving sperm. The treatment of a varicocele often improves sperm quality and overall fertility. - Infection. Some infections can interfere with sperm production and sperm health or can cause scarring that blocks the passage of sperm. These include some sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia and gonorrhea; inflammation of the prostate (prostatitis ); inflamed testicles ; and other infections of the urinary tract or reproductive organs. - Ejaculation problems . Retrograde ejaculation occurs when semen enters the bladder during orgasm instead of emerging out of the tip of the penis. Various health conditions can cause retrograde ejaculation, including diabetes, spinal injuries, and surgery of the bladder, prostate or urethra. Certain medications also may result in retrograde ejaculation, such as blood pressure medications known as alpha blockers. Some men with spinal cord injuries or certain diseases can't ejaculate semen at all, though they still can produce sperm. - Antibodies that attack sperm. Anti-sperm antibodies are immune system cells that mistakenly identify sperm as harmful invaders and attempt to destroy them. - Tumors. Cancers and nonmalignant tumors can affect the male reproductive organs directly, or can affect the glands that release hormones related to reproduction (such as the pituitary gland). Surgery, radiation or chemotherapy to treat tumors can also affect male fertility. Undescended testicles. During fetal development one or both testicles sometimes fail to descend from the abdomen into the sac that normally contains the testicles (scrotum). Decreased fertility is more likely in men with this condition. - Hormone imbalances . The hypothalamus, pituitary and testicles produce hormones that are necessary to create sperm. Alterations in these hormones, as well as from other systems such as the thyroid and adrenal, may impair sperm production. - Sperm duct defects. The tubes that carry sperm can be damaged by illness or injury. Some men are born with a blockage in the part of the testicle that stores sperm (epididymis) or a blockage of one of the tubes that carry sperm out of the testicles (vas deferens). Men with cystic fibrosis and some other inherited conditions may be born without sperm ducts altogether. Chromosome defects. Inherited disorders such as Klinefelter's syndrome — in which a male is born with two X chromosomes and one Y chromosome instead of one X and one Y — cause abnormal development of the male reproductive organs. Other genetic syndromes associated with infertility include cystic fibrosis, Kallmann's syndrome and Kartagener syndrome. - Celiac disease . A digestive disorder caused by sensitivity to gluten, celiac disease can cause male infertility. Fertility may improve after adopting a gluten-free diet. - Certain medications. Testosterone replacement therapy, long-term anabolic steroid use, cancer medications (chemotherapy), certain antifungal and antibiotic medications, some ulcer medications and some other medications can impair sperm production and decrease male fertility. Environmental causes Overexposure to certain environmental elements can affect sperm production or function. Specific causes include: - Industrial chemicals . Extended exposure to benzenes, toluene, xylene, herbicides, pesticides, organic solvents, painting materials and lead may contribute to low sperm counts. - Heavy metal exposure. Exposure to lead or other heavy metals also may cause infertility. Radiation or X-rays. Exposure to radiation can reduce sperm production. It can take several years for sperm production to return to normal. With high doses of radiation, sperm production can be permanently reduced. - Overheating the testicles. Frequent use of saunas or hot tubs may temporarily lower your sperm count. Sitting for long periods, wearing tight clothing or using a laptop onyour lap for long periods of time also may increase the temperature in your scrotum and reduce sperm production. The type of underwear you choose to wear is unlikely to significantly impact your sperm count. - Prolonged bicycling. Prolonged bicycling is another possible cause of reduced fertility due to overheating the testicles. Health, lifestyle and other causes Other causes of low sperm count include: - Illegal drug use. Anabolic steroids taken to stimulate muscle strength and growth can cause the testicles to shrink and sperm production to decrease. Use of cocaine or marijuana may temporarily reduce the number and quality of your sperm as well. - Alcohol use. Drinking alcohol can lower testosterone levels and cause decreased sperm production. - Occupation. Certain occupations may increase your risk of infertility, includingthose associated with extended use of computers or video display monitors, shift work and work- related stress. - Tobacco smoking. Men who smoke may have a lower sperm count than do those who don't smoke. - Emotional stress. Severe or prolonged emotional stress, including stress about fertility itself, may interfere with certain hormones needed to produce sperm. - Weight. Obesity can cause hormone changes that reduce male fertility. Sperm testing issues. Lower than normal sperm counts can result from testing a sperm sample that was taken too soon after your last ejaculation; was taken too soon after an illness or stressful event; or didn't contain all of the semen you ejaculated because some was spilled during collection. For this reason, results are generally based on several samples taken over a period of time. lalasticlala, DrAmanda, Xiadnat, Ishilove

Source: http://tbthealth..in/2015/06/why-you-shouldn-take-too-much-salt.html?m=1 If salt plays such important roles in the body, then why is it bad to have too much of it? Well because it plays such crucial roles in the body, salt is also very good at having powerful negative effects too. In fact, a diet high in salt has been linked to several conditions. Some of which are: Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) There is lots of different evidence supporting a link between high salt intake and high blood pressure. It is thought that having high levels of sodium in the body causes a decrease in the synthesis of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is an arteriolar vasodilator. This means that it causes the blood vessels to widen, reducing the resistance the blood experiences as it flows. Sodium is thought to do this by increasing the levels of a molecule called asymmetric dimethyl L-arginine. This molecule is an inhibitor of nitric oxide production, and thus sodium indirectly causes the reduction of nitric oxide biosynthesis. Overall then, this means that there is less nitric oxide. Consequently, the blood vessels are not as wide and thus the blood experiences more resistance, causing higher blood pressure. High blood pressure can lead to several medical problems including heart attack, stroke and kidney damage. Osteoporosis High salt intake has also been linked to osteoporosis, a condition that causes weakening of the bones making them more susceptible to fractures. Salt is proposed to affect bones by causing increased calcium excretion in urine. Calcium is, of course, very important in bones. In fact, 99% of the body’s calcium is stored in our bones. Thus, loss of calcium, through excessive excretion, is bad for your bones. Stomach Cancer Although salt is necessary in the production of stomach acid; it seems too much salt can actually be bad news for the stomach. Excessive salt consumption has been linked to stomach cancer. Although the molecular basis has not yet been confirmed and not all results of epidemiological studies were in agreement, there has been a general trend observed that high salt consumption was correlated with increased risk of stomach cancer. |
Source: http://tbthealth..in/2015/06/the-curious-china-again-read-history-of.html?m=1 The history of tea is fascinating and offers great insight into the history of our world. Since tea was first discovered in China, it has traveled the world conquering the thirsts of virtually every country on the planet. Tea is the most popular beverage in the world as well as one of the healthiest. If you have ever wondered where tea comes from and how we got to the point where tea is served in virtually every corner of the world, steep a hot cup of tea and explore the history of the simple tea leaf over the centuries! One legend claims that the discovery of tea occurred in 2737 BC by the Emperor of China. For several hundred years, people drank tea because of its herbal medicinal qualities. By the time of the Western Zhou Dynasty, tea was used as a religious offering. During the Han Dynasty (202 BC – 220 AD), tea plants were quite limited and only royalty and the rich drank tea not only for their health but also for the taste. As more tea plants were discovered during the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907), tea drinking became more common among lower classes and the Chinese government supported planting of tea plants and even the building of tea shops so everyone could enjoy tea. Also during the Tang Dynasty, tea spread to Japan by Japanese priests studying in China. Similar to the Chinese adoption of tea, tea was first consumed by priests and the rich for its medicinal properties. Tea is often associated with Zen Buddhism in Japan because priests drank tea to stay awake and meditate. Soon, the Buddhists developed the Japanese Tea Ceremony for sharing tea in a sacred, spiritual manner. The Emperor of Japan enjoyed tea very much and imported tea seeds from China to be planted in Japan, making tea available to more people. Tea finally arrived in England during the 17th century when King Charles II married a Portuguese princess, Catherine of Braganza. The Queen made tea the drink of royalty and soon tea became a popular import to Britain via the East India Company. Afternoon tea or tea parties became a common way for aristocratic society to drink tea. Though tea was regularly imported to Britain, the taxes were so high that smugglers would get and sell tea illegally for those that could not afford it. In attempts to turn profits during the tea smuggling period, the East India Company began exporting the tea to America. The American tea was also taxed heavily and contributed to the cause of the Boston Tea Party. If you watched "The Conquerors", you would know about the Tang dynasty. But come to think of it, China is a strong nation mehn. They were claimed to discover rice, silk, and now tea. W0W! |

Source: http://tbthealth..in/2015/06/foods-and-fruits-women-should-eat.html?m=1 Women, Ladies, Girls. You notice that during your period, you experience serious pains? Like headache, fatigue, cramps and many others. Well, your diet could be the cause. The foods elucidated below should orientate you a bit. - Beans The high fiber content of beans and peas reduces the congestive symptoms of cramps by producing bulkier stools with higher water content. This rids the body of excess fluid and also normalizes digestion, reducing both constipation and diarrhea, according to Dr. Susan Lark, director of the PMS Self-Help Center in Los Altos, California, and author of "Dr. Susan Lark's Menstrual Cramps Self Help Book." Legumes are also a good source of B vitamins, which prevent cramps and menstrual fatigue. Although beans can create excess gas, this can be minimized by eating small amounts and increasing slowly, or by taking a digestive enzyme like Beano. - Green Vegetables Green vegetables are high in calcium, magnesium and potassium, which relieve and prevent the spasms that lead to cramping pain. Lark also adds that these minerals can calm and relax emotions, reducing irritability. Dark green vegetables also contain high amounts of vitamin K, which is needed to coagulate blood and prevent excess bleeding. - Omega-3 Fatty Acids A group of hormone-like substances in the body called prostaglandins are involved in muscle contractions and menstrual pain. One way to shut down the prostaglandin effect is by consuming omega-3 fatty acids like those contained in salmon, walnuts and flaxseed. A 1995 study in the "European Journal of Clinical Nutrition" found that women whose diets are balanced in favor of omega-3s, rather than other fats, tend to have milder menstrual symptoms. - Pineapple A report from Dr. Phyllis Johnson, of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Human Nutrition Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, found that young women who consumed low amounts of manganese had an increased menstrual flow of up to 50 percent, leading Johnson to recommend that women with menstrual discomfort increase their manganese consumption. Fruits are high in manganese, but one of the richest manganese food sources is pineapple. Pineapple also contains high levels of bromelain, an enzyme thought to help relax muscles and therefore prevent menstrual cramping. - Tea Tea is another source of manganese, according to Johnson, although women should avoid the caffeinated version, which can actually lead to greater menstrual discomfort. Ginger tea may be helpful in relieving nausea and bloating, and chamomile tea also contains properties that relieve muscle spasms and reduce the tension that can lead to anxiety and irritability. - Water Excessive fluid retention is one of the main causes of congestive symptoms seen with cramps, which are characterized by dull, aching pain. One of the very best ways to help decrease water retention, even though it may seem counterintuitive, is to increase water consumption--if a woman isn't drinking enough, her body may overcompensate by retaining extra water. - Whole Grains A study by British doctors found that eating small amounts of carbohydrates every three hours and within one hour of going to bed combated PMS symptoms in 70 percent of women. Dr. Lark adds that whole grains are excellent sources of magnesium, which reduces neuromuscular tension. Whole grains also have B-complex vitamins and vitamin E to combat fatigue and depression. - Yogurt Yogurt contains live and active cultures of bacteria that promote a healthy digestion. Yogurt is also a good source of calcium, and getting twice as much calcium as an average women consumes on a daily basis, 1,300 milligrams instead of 600, seems to alleviate menstrual discomfort, according to James G. Penland, Ph.D., a psychologist at the Department of Agriculture. However, since meat and dairy products contain arachidonic acids, which increase the production of cramp-causing prostaglandins, women may prefer to choose nondairy forms of calcium such as broccoli, kale, canned salmon with bones and calcium fortified foods like cereals and juices. |
Hello Everybody, how are you? For sometime now, I have been seeing adverts, hearing musics and watching dramas telling US how to be malaria free by using Mosquitoes net and others. I even remember the advert which AY, the popular comedian acted, i watched it on YouTube, should I narrate it a little?. Let me because of my readers who like "Stories". It goes thus... The guy was invited to an interview, he ironed his cloth, got his shoes ready, fetched water to bath, since he needs no delay as interviews are always very early in the morning. According to the very short comic drama , the next morning he was down on the bed as a result of malaria, shaking and advised everyone to be mindful of this treacherous disease which caught up with him. It was a bit educative and comedic. That's the drama. Another song which I just listened to yesterday which was sang by one of Africa most successful musician 2face, featuring a Northern-Nigeria musician. If you could remember he also sang the Popular African Queen which is played in almost everyfilm talking about the power of ladies in Africa. The song was also educative and interesting. I wish I knew the song. Lol. Didn't download it so I don't know any of the song lyric. Don't blame me, all I know was that the lyrics was advising us on malaria. Another drama on Malaria I watched was how a mother lost her son and grandchild due to malaria. I could go on and on but I don't want to bore you with long stories. Yea, these adverts were what prompted me to want to write about Malaria as a whole to fulfill my own part in advising and telling us that Malaria is very bad and Dangerous, infact, it was Among the recently ranked Most Worst diseases in the world. Now What Is Malaria? Malaria is a life-threatening disease. Which is typically transmitted through the bite of an infected Anopheles mosquito. Mosquitoes that are infected carry the Plasmodium parasite. When this Plasmodium parasitic mosquito bites you, the parasite is released into your bloodstream which travel down to your liver, where they mature. After several days, the mature parasites enter the bloodstream and begin to infect red blood cells. Within 48 to 72 hours, the parasites inside the red blood cells multiply, causing the infected cells to burst open. The parasites continues it's mission in the body which is to infect red blood cells, resulting in symptoms that occur in two-to-three-day cycles. Now where is malaria found?. Malaria is typically found in tropical and subtropical climates (e.g., Africa) where the parasites can live. The World Health Organization estimates that between 300 and 500 million people are infected with this treacherous disease almost every year. The disease kills 1 million people annually. Most cases of this unwanted disease, malaria develop in people who travel to countries where malaria is more common. Now, What Causes Malaria? Like I said earlier, Malaria can be caused by an infected mosquito which has the Plasmodium parasite. In addition, an infected mother can pass the disease to her baby at birth. This type of malaria known as congenital malaria. That is, by gene. Because malaria is transmitted by blood, it can also be transmitted through an organ transplant or a transfusion. Shared use of needles or syringes also has it hands in the cause of malaria. Now, What Are its Symptoms? Symptoms of malaria typically develop within 10 days to four weeks following the infection. However, In some patients, symptoms may not develop for several months. Some malarial parasites can enter the body but will be dormant for a long period of time. But there are some common symptoms, Many of which include: - High fever - Profuse sweating - Headache - Nausea - Vomiting - Diarrhea - Anaemia - Muscle pain - Convulsions - Coma - Bloody stools Like I said, Malaria is a very bad disease rated by Tbthealth as one of the worst disease in the world. Use Mosquito nets and repellents that contains some good amount of Deet, but Also ensure not to expose Little children to the repellents which contains the Deer, as it can cause many harm. Some of the harm High presence of deet can cause to the human body are rashes, headache, irritation and many others which I will write later in my more to come articles. A Malaria Free Generation begins with us. Source: http://tbthealth..in/2015/06/must-read-article-malaria-overview.html?m=1 |

The Decieved: Awesome facts about our brain we probably aren't aware of. The brain!, Whenever I think I thank God for adding this powerful machine to our body, Read the facts below ... - Human brain is larger than the brain of other mammals, but it has the same general structure. Think you know everything about your own brain? - 75% Water Just like the rest of the body, human brain is 75% water. That’s why your brain becomes fuzzy and slows down when you are dehydrated, even before you get the actual physical symptoms of thirst. - Full of Thoughts On average your brain has around 70,000 thoughts a day. Although many thoughts will be repetitive, the number of thoughts your brain processes daily is quite amazing. - Network Every time you have a thought your brain builds or changes a neural network inside your brain. Similar events trigger the same neural paths inside your brain that leaves you with similar feelings and experience. - No Tickling Ever tried to tickle yourself? It is not usual. Your brain recognizes your touch so well that you can’t surprise or tickle yourself with your own touch(no wonder, whenever I pinch or hit myself with my nails, I hardly..... - Headache Your brain can not feel any pain. It is the nerves and the muscles that feel the pain. So don’t blame your brain when you get that headache. - Miles Long Your brain has lot of blood vessels. If measured in length, the blood vessels can be about 100,000 miles long. - Auto connect Ever yawned right after watching someone yawn? It is because your brain has some mirror neurons. These mirror neurons helps you in connecting with others. In other words, the mirror neurons enable your ability to socialize. - Stress kills Stress can kill your brain cells. Stress can overload your brain with hormones that are intended only for only short-term, which in turn can damage and kill your brain cells. - Chemical Love Oxytocin, a brain chemical makes you fall love. It is released in your brain in large doses when you fall in love or during and after giving birth to help a mother bond with her child. Its effect can last for several months. - You Use it All Ever heard the misconception that we only use 10% of our brain? Since every part of the brain has a known function. You have been using whole of your brain, not just 10%. Source: http://tbthealth..in/2015/06/the-decieved-awesome-facts-about-our.html?m=1 |
Goodday Nigerians and Happy Sunday, I bring you greetings from an intrinsic heart of mine which clamours for positive change and increment in developments. I woke up this morning not suffering from cold but from the versa. I then asked my uncle who is into oil and gas if this was the worst fuel crisis, he replied yes. A part of me nodded and confirmed it was true, after remembering the news I read last night on some popular news blogs and forums which talked about how mtn will shut down in the next 24 hours if there is no or less availability of diesel, same with beat fm and city fm. So now, here are the consequences of fuel scarcity. Water: We all know that water is been pumped out from the ground with a machine powered by generators which uses fuel and basically electricity, since there is no light, the usual way is to switch on your generator and pump, but with the advent of the fuel crisis, we at a zero point of having water in some days from now if this continues. Starvation : Virtually all food are cooked and made using kerosene and maybe gas. An little-less-than average Nigerian uses Kero. Now with the advent of fuel scarcity most fuel stations don't have kero and even those that have, has refused to sell, since there has not been fuel, which they all assume is the main source of income to them. Minor production in candles: Based on my little knowledge in chemistry, an sure to know and tell you that candles are made from petroleum. An average man falls back to candles when there is no fuel or other cases, but candles might also become gold in some days from now. Poor transportation: We are quite sure that buses, cars, lorries and trailers uses fuel and some uses diesel to power their vehicles and bikes. Now that there is no fuel, we would have more trekkers in every city who won't get rewarded for it unlike the past few days (lol). Power Supply: Generator uses dynamos to generate electricity and fuel for other stuffs in the generator, now that there is no fuel and power supply, there would be an increased rate in darkness, and our phones, laptops and other devices won't be powered as a result of the fuel scarcity. Poverty: we might not really know about this, but if this fuel stuff increases there won't be money anywhere, transporting foods would be very expensive since transportation is costly, prices of foods and other things would increase drastically and would Move Nigeria and Nigerians to a concrete level of poverty as a result of prices of goods and even services. Even banks won't work, ATM's I mean. Hospitals, banks, newspapers, television stations, phone companies, radio companies would probably close down as a result of this fuel scarcity, which is not good in a nation where there are still strong cases of insurgency. Nigerians would be in the dark. I am therefore pleading on behalf of other citizens, to the government, Nupeng and those who are concerned, to please rescind this strike and allow free flow of fuel in Nigeria, unlike other countries, we have crude oil in our nation and yet we are still suffering. If there is no action taken, Nigeria of 2015 would be similar to the Nigeria of the 80's. No technology can survive without power. I also implore the Electricity distribution of Nigeria to Pity us. I would also like to tag this post as the "Consequences of voting out an incumbent president" . Farewell Nigerians. The main source of this article and where it was posted is http://tbthealth..com |
