Please there seems to be huge backlog with medical bookings in the approved hospitals. On contacting (2 out 3 recommended) was told the whole month is filled and will have to wait till mid October.

Any way around this hiccup please?

Check IOM or people can start booking medical once you are sure of ITA. I was lucky sha. I wanted to book August 2nd then and the receptionist said July 31st is the next available date. I went for it sharply... Lol

I don't expect any nairalander to be extorted at VFS office. Ignore any security personnel or business center insisting on booking appointment before biometric. Insist on speaking to any staff or tell them it is written as not important on VFS website, they will just free you... Lol.
Go with 2 photocopies of your data page
Original international passport
Print out biometric Letter
You won't spend penny at the center if you go with the aforementioned items but keep #200 for your bags and other belongs in their locker. #TEAM DIY

@Newmum and all the senior apostles in the assembly...I caould not hold myself again o..lol.

So I submitted my PR application on Jul 31st( 1am naija time) which was still 30th July (Canada time). Even though it stated that biometric will be required as from Jul 31st, when I was paying my application fee, Biometric fee wasn't included so i just went on to pay like that.

I got AOR within 20mins of paying and waited. After waiting for 30days I got an update mail and checked my account only to see that it was only my UCI number that got updated. Up until now(47days and counting) no MEP, Biometric letter or any other update aside that initial UCI status update.

I am almost going gaga...loool..I need assurance o..anybori..sombori...

Don't fret, you will get MEP this week

Na real wakanda. To mentally prepare, me that used to off the AC in my office now keep it on. At min 16oC I'm still using sweater. Hopefully by next year, I will get used to it.

Colleagues have started running from me now with the kind coldest rate I switch AC on in office. I feel heat at 20C now. I don't take hot tea before but I have started practicing it with the little rain we experienced few days back #creating artificial environment ahead i. e pre-arrival preparation
