So a few months ago, I and two of the most amazing and vibe filled travel buddies took a trip down to the South-southern state of Akwa-Ibom. We decided to explore some of the hidden gems in the city and of course we had to document every bit of it! Is Uyo worth visiting? Is it just all hype ?? Bro stuff like this tends to happen at one point or the other to stamerrers. What you need to do to your brother is to write him a heartfelt letter or call him aside and try to express how you really feel whenever someone makes fun of you for stammering. It doesn't matter how you say it...he's your blood he'll listen and try to understand you. I was once a chronic stammerer like you and i understand how it feels particularly when family members also engage in laughing at you. The first step in having to overcome the mockery that comes with stammering is to love yourself for who you are. Then also have it at the back of your mind that your family loves you no matter how bad a stammerer you are. Andysnoopy and twaci already have some helpful tips on how you can overcome(or reduce) it. The looking into the mirror part and practicing the harder words works like magic. Also try controlling your breath flow cos to a large extent it aids your speech output. Lastly try and speak slowly... and in a more rhythmic way. Trust me it works. Above all bro have it at the back of your mind that people would tend to talk about you behind your back.
