The problem with the Nigerian education is the Nigerian system and the leaders. Education is not given priority like politics and politicians. And if u look at others sectors of Nigeria like education, health, power, u will see same neglect. The only thing taken seriously in this country is protection and preservation of the ruling elite and top politicians. The rest of the people don't matter. The law was made to protect them and purnish us. Sacramento85: What is d problem with the education sector |

All promises no action. Let all Congresses vote to continue the strike. The government is irresponsible and not responsive. jeraw: Strike to be called off by Monday
A meeting of JAC was called in Abuja for briefing by the leadership of JAC on how far they have gone in the negotiations with FG. What they presented was not too palatable but they advised the strike be called off and negotiation continue. 1. Govt promised to pay minimum wage consequential adjustment arrear but it has to be included in 2021 supplementary budget to be presented to National Assembly. Only God knows how feasible this could be. 2. Govt agreed to include some allowances into payroll three months from now. On this as you know, this Govt can never be trusted. 3. Several committees have been set up to look into all the issues including the fraud in IPPIS. Majority were not satisfied with suspending the strike. The explanation for requesting for a suspension was that our members capacity to withstand no work no pay as threatened by FG. After much agitations, it was agreed that the matter be referred to Congress and that congress be called on Friday 19th February and communicate resolution to National same day |

Well at least they should pay us our minimum wage arrears, like play like play this arrears wan dey enter 2 years now |

OK what month was your assumption of office. Cos what I just learnt is that the payment was made from Mid January 2012 till June 2012. Meaning of u assumption of office was early June 2012, you u will likely receive payment for only one month and if u resumed work 2012 July u will get nothing. This means people that were employed from July 2012 will have no dime. So even if u are on same level with u colleagues, you all have different assumption of duty dates. You can confirm from them and get back to me. They likely resumed duty before u hence thier higher EA. My thoughts though AmandaLuv: Senior staff Sir. My colleague on the same level as I am got 56k. Another got 42k. Same level. |

I said it initially that issues go dey with sharing formula but somewhere doubted. I no surprise say some persons go get like 2,500 of 6,500 and some will not get at all. Some may even get recharge card or even airtime or MB to browse through the weekend. SMH. What a pity AmandaLuv: EAA mouau received.

A real pity. On top of all of these, SSANU want to go on strike cos they want thier minimum wage arrears and earned allowance since ASUU Don collect thier own and even if ASUU share small give them, they still want thier own. U can imagine the confusion in the system. Don't worry once they pay us EA maybe this week after all thier argument, I will tell u how much I earned. edogu: What a pity? |
Career › Re: Has Any Federal Civil Servant Received The New Minimum Wage? by toivar: 10:15pm On Jan 28, 2021 |
Yes o bro. For Instance I'm our school today, ASUU already got theirs but NAT want a larger share of the balance money ASUU gave us. In fact it almost came to throwing of blows and fist in VCO. SSANU and NASU no gree say make NAT take lion share of the balance from ASUU. NAT say Na them deserve the hazard allowance more cos they are at risk more. So the situation is causing tension here in the school. edogu: My brother, you are right about the comment concerning EAA. If ASUU is not very careful, this may end creating more division. |
