*EXTRACTS FROM REPORT OF THE ZONALCOORDINATORS MEETING WITH THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVES*

Dear esteemed comrades, Find below extracts from the reports of the interaction of ZCs with the National Executives:
At Abuja on Thursday 23rd July, NAAT EXCOS and ZCs after their internal meetings for two days met the IPPIS director and the SALARIES AND WAGES COMMISSION office on sundry issues.
Below are some of the fallout from the meeting:
INCLUSION OF EAs INTO OUR SALARIES:

*That IPPIS is favourably disposed to include the OHA in our salary but other EAs were adjudged to be the responsibility of each Universities governing council.

NHF : That this is a statutory deductions and there's nothing the Union could do about it. The president informed that he has met with the director of NHF and he advised that every members as a matter of urgency should go online and download FORM 2 and fill, then take the form to Any mortgage bank in the state and open account, it is this account that the monthly deductions would be remitted failure to do so would amount to forfeiting all the deductions at retirement. And to those that already have account with mortgage bank, they should go online and download the UPGRADE FORM and fill then take it to the mortgage bank in the state. MINIMUM WAGE ARREARS:
The President informed that arrangements have been concluded to pay this month. He said the payment will be done separately. It's either we receive the alert before July salary or shortly after the payment of July salary.-PRO

Yea oh it's the truth oh. Sometimes because of how the covid thing is spreading, I just begin to feeling certain funny feeling as if i have got it. I know some persons also feel same way. That paranoid feeling. I know some of us can relate to it

I was thinking of a reasonable to post this but discovered this place is comprises of people who are already employed.

Well they don't know the value of education that's why we still dey find oga certificate since 2015 till now. As for the unions joining hands, it will be very difficult cos the Unions are polarized so they can't be effective anymore

the question I always ask myself is that do government really value education as whole. Talk more of a section, it highly unfortunate but this I would prefer all union to join hands and fight for what is ours first before revitalization.

I'm sure they know and they will surely find their way out trust federal govt. Meanwhile they have not even talked about minimum wage arrears. That one is voice mail for university worker. The unions are polarized in universities. So at last they will give in. But ASUU see to be the best of university unions. They are more unites than others.

Na wah. Even after pervious deductions. I'm sure after covid university lectures and non academic and technologist will slug it out with fg full time. This is unbelievable

More reduction reported than what was obtainable in April salary....

My broda the tin tire me o. I being tink say everybody don get alert nai make here quiet like this. Let federal govt do the needful naw. Universitiea are always last to receive alert.

Ippis paid me 56k for February and March salary. Yet to receive April but my colleagues received 27k each. Even a senior lecturer received 32k for the month of March. Is only God that we deliver us from Ippis.
