If you had not given him the chance to communicate with you how on earth will you ever get to marry him? this is my point, give room for communication and don't just shut people out. I have female friends that have been so helpful in my life and we were strangers before that first hello. |

Nevertheless what I still find hard to wrap my head around is the way some people waste no time in lashing out at someone over an innocuous opinion and I tend to imagine the level of their intelligence quotient (IQ) No matter how stupid it may sound,it still remains an opinion so the best you can do is counter the subject matter and not start attacking the writer.smh! 3 Likes |

Odianose13: My point exactly... no one is undermining the relevance of a 'full" housewife and in fact the role is more difficult than regular job in most cases but let's ask ourselves in a candid manner... Does the relevance of a full house wife in practical terms go beyond the kitchen and the bedroom? So what is the big deal if a housewife empowers herself and be financially independent? The way people twist my writeups is so disheartening but it's so unfortunate that I can't help them out... What I write is my problem and how they take it is their problem buy the most annoying twist is that rather for them to discuss it reasonably, they will just start cursing and attacking the writer as if they are making sense. 1 Like |

Dimples182: Let me try to respond to you not because you are worth my precious time but for the benefit of others reading your odoriferous crinkum crankum.. It is quite apparent that you are not intellectually sound and I respect the fact that people like you are out there and as a sapiosexual individual,I don't ever pray to come across your likes as a friend or a potential date cos I loathe your sense of reasoning like kilode. You are enmeshed in bitterness and hatred and I'm not responsible for your situation am I? I wrote clearly that a lady must be self reliant regardless of her role as a housewife which I so much respect as I pointed out so what exactly is the issue here? Would you rather choose to be a self reliant house wife or a dependent housewife? My mum has 10 children yet she played her role perfectly as a housewife with 100% financial independence. I weep for the mental acumen of today's generation who have lost the essence of the Grey matter in their brains...Girl please grow up or be mature enough to articulate your opinion without exhibiting an illiterate pepper seller attitude. I don't expect everyone to agree with my opinion but please learn to counter issues without attacking the discussant persona which is a sign of intellectual stuntedness. Lastly about a 40 year old toks2008 socializing with a presumably small camerounian lady please how does that increase the quality of your life? can't you see you suffer from self inflicted bitterness? I'm a social fly and I love socializing...in my 10years on nairaland I have never ever wooed any nairalander and I chose that path cos I am a man of integrity....I'm not faceless like you or other trolls who come online to live a fake life so please I repeat....grow up...live and let's live .. Business / 5 Reasons Why You Can't Do Without Networking. by toks208: 12:03pm On Oct 01, 2015 |
Have you ever used a product or service(s) and told a friend or family member about it? Do you know how many people who have joined face-book,watsup,instagram or even nairaland through you just by telling them about these platforms? Now lets ask ourselves;"If the manufacturer of that product you introduced a friend to decides to reward you each time that friend buys that product or mark decides to give each face book user 20cents for every one who signs up into face-book through you would you love the idea?" Many people indulge in network marketing day by day but they just do not realize it but when faced with the decision to vividly take a bold step into network marketing they will usually take a second look and will readily create a cold feet towards the idea and this is indeed very strange. The truth is that anytime you tell anyone about a product or service, you are indeed networking and what you are vividly doing is marketing the brand by networking friends and family members with words of mouth hence the term NETWORK MARKETING. But before i state these 5 reasons i would love to quickly let every reader understand that there are basically two ways of earning income in life and that is active and passive. Active income is the one earned from the regular jobs or service rendered which means you are directly involved in the process of earning and such requires a continual active participation to earn such while passive income is the type of income earned indirectly by leveraging on other people's effort and does not need your repetitive active participation materially or physically. The latter is the secret of many millionaires today while in Nigeria we are still saddled with the active income mentality and this indeed is an unfortunate situation, Now lets get down to the reasons why you can't do without networking. 1.Every corporation and entrepreneur needs network marketing to stay in business.: But for networking, how else will face book gain such recognition and how will seun be known today as a proud creator of nairaland? many great products will only lie fallow on the stands if not for one user that told another 2 which in turn informed another 8 and on and on. In-fact people advertise on nairaland and other platforms because in one way or the other, pioneers of such platform have marketed such by words of mouth to several others and the member base of such platform have now grown to a level where companies now find them as a viable template to advertise their products and services. 2.Regular Job insecurity.: Day by day people lose their jobs and many more will be retrenched due to growing economy crunch. but when you get involved in network marketing, you are taking a wise step in securing a passive income because that job you so much depend on may be taken away from you in a flash and while you look for a new one,a good network marketing company will bring in a substantial amount to get by . I have seen many people who were working in well established companies who were also part of one network marketing business or the other and some of them lost their jobs and were saved by the commission that they earned from a network company they have joined in the past while they were stil active in their regular jobs. 3.Low employment rate.: Apparently many people are just myopic to understand that while they look for jobs, their lives need not be on standstill and as i always advice graduates and youths;"look for a job but don't wait for a job". Another unfortunate twist is that many job seekers end up as a marketer for the company they work for earning direct commissions that is fixed and dependent on working their hearts out yet will be unwilling to take advantage of a good network marketing company to earn unlimited commissions through group efforts. 4.You must retire one day: Many gainfully employed people forget so soon that no matter how indispensable they may be to that company, someday they must retire and then what next? Yes you may say you would have generated so much to start your own business but will it be a taboo if you take advantage of a good network marketing system while you are still years ahead of retiring so that you can also start earning passively and save up even more for retirement as well as continue to earn passively even when you are out of active job. 5.It does not disturb your present job or career: One funny misconception people have is that network marketers are jobless and this is very laughable. I joined a network program in 1998 when i was a fresh graduate and while i was still in my active clearing business i was still earning from this same company and as i write this 15years down the line im still earning and infact it was a succor when i had issues with my business 3 years back. So i want everyone to understand that network marketing is a good business and all you need to do is to find one that you are ok with the compensation plan and stick with it. Many Nigerians see network marketing as a get rich quick system and this is where the problem lies. Do not lure anyone into any network company but tell them the truth about it.It is a life long business and what many Nigerians what to achieve with this business in a year was actually designed by the company to take years to achieve. It can never be saturated because not everyone will progress in the same phase. So look for a good network marketing company and make the best out of it. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. |

Business / Re: Why I Quit Forex!! by toks208: 9:21am On Sep 30, 2015 |
Fxwarrior: I honestly agree with you on this and i mean 100% but then the truth is that the problem is not the forex business but the traders. I have been in the fx business for about 5years now and yes i make a living training people mostly from outside the country through skype and i also provide signals to people who are ready to do business not gamble. 3 years into the business i realized quick enough that the problem is not the business itself but the approach and i will explain. Like every other business, forex is not different but it is teh orientation that is the problem.I hear many jingles where they tell you that you can make 50% or 100% on invested capital monthly and i shake my head. Many NIGERIANS KNOW THAT it is near impossible to sustain unrealistic profits on a monthly basis but if you decide to take it slow and realistically you can generate 10 to 15% steady and regularly in a sustainable way and that takes us to the second problem which is lack of trading capital. If you look at many Nigerians who claim they trade forex,it will amaze you that many of them have very small equity like 100usd,500usd and very few can boast of 1000usd or more so tell me how 10 to 15% will appeal to such. I have lost count of many Nairalanders who have contacted me regarding trading fx asking me to use my system trade for them and i simply ask them if they are ok with 10/15% average monthly return and they will eb like "no that is too small" and i tell them to do other businesses. Another crazy factor is trading currencies manually. Many people still believe they can get hold of their emotions talking about greed or fear and this is why i designed a software to trade for my clients using the same manual method but integrated into an expert adviser and this system can conveniently generate 10/15% average returns each month without even teh trader doing anything. I have tried to see how i can impove the profitability and im still looking at ways to do that and even the best i could go with high lot was over 1000% gain in 6months and you can see that here: https://www.myfxbook.com/portfolio/100-auto-trade-103040pips-lock/1091169 I dont believe in paper trading or wishful talks but i am 100% practical oriented. In summary, any trader who is not ready to take it slow and take fx trading like regular business should never venture into it. Your profit is proportional directly with your invested capital. 10/15% may look small if you trade with 1k but when you trade with 10k or more it will make sense. This is my honest opinion about the matter. 5 Likes 1 Share |
Business / Re: Why Do Many Nigerians Dislike The Business Called Network Marketing by toks208: 8:49am On Sep 30, 2015 |
forever88: I guess its as a result of bad orientation and laziness and it is not just about network marketing but marketing generally.. In Nigeria many youths and graduates want a job that affords them the opportunity of sitting down and at the end of the month they take home salaries but the bad news is that many will lose theire jobs very soon and they will have no choice but to embrace marketing in any form whether network or direct sales. Now take a look at this funny scenario.. You use a product and you like it and then tell a friend about it and the friend goes ahead to buy that same product. You have successfully networked but they prefer to do it for free.STRANGE Now ask a typical Nigerian to market a good product and get a commission fore it and you will see then develop a cold feet. Is there not a confirmation that there is something fundamentally wrong with their psyche? Many companies fold up daily because no one wants to market but they are looking for jobs so please tell me how do these companies survive if not for the marketing department of the company. Very soon many and i mean many will lose their jobs as the company or even banks may not be able to sustain high cost of salaries and even those who will have their jobs may only get salaries in proportion to the percentage profit of that company each month. Network marketing is a way of life to many and it is even a course studied in Harvard. Nairaland today is what it is because of networking where a friend is informed about an interactive forum and they join. My advice to every Nigerian youth is to look for one good mlm or network company and take advantage of the business to earn passive income. I am an E-commerce consultant who majors in online fx and affiliate programs and i also have other regular offline business but i have taken advantage of a very good passive income generating program for many years and that does not replace my regular business rather it has helped greatly. The time has come for Nigerian youths to wake up and understand that teh jobs out there can never go round and they must wake up and do something to help themselves. 4 Likes |
