Etfash: Good day all,
Please will my wife need to write the IELTS exam before joining me? I am looking at a situation where one applies as a single and gets married some months before moving to Canada permanently.
Meanwhile, this thread has been informative; kudos to you guys. it is not compulsory for your wife to write I LETS, but the process if bringing your spouse later is a little bit tedious if not in your application now. You need to have a stable job for at least one year, accommodation, evidence that you pay your utility bill etc. I don't know your month of application? I will have advice you do your wedding before MR and include your spouse in your application, but be ready to show updated POF if you include your spouse by this she cab be included in the application and can decide to join you later before visa expire. I hope I answered you correctly. |

abyurla: I saw some posts earlier about using pension as proof of funds and i'm interested in pursuing that thought. I really wish it would be admissible, has anyone successfully tendered their Pension statement? Is it really acceptable because PENCOM Act says "The employee may only withdraw from this account at the age of 50 or upon retirement thereafter". If the CIC guys are not aware of this...can one present it to them? you can only use RSA for CIC, VO will not accept RSA |

JesusDWay: How does joining a professional body increase your score? Wont you have to write their exams and get certificated first? Abeg, enlighten me on this o . Meanwhile, if you know of any or can help with available jobs in that line, kindly let me know. It's what i've been wanting to do. I used to know the two major professional bodies in Supply Chain in Canada but i've forgotten now. May have to research again I have applied for several purchasing jobs in Canada but they keep coming back to me that I have to be a citizen or permanent residence before they can offer me job. I'm a Nov applicant with NOC 0113 and PER in March. Hopefully at the rate AVO is going maybe it will get to Nov applicant by October. If you need more detail about the certification for Procurement you can PM me |

emmanok24: Greetings House!
I have a number of question I want to ask and I plead with those who can help to please answer me patiently.
1. I want to Migrate to Canada with my wife. Do I need an Agent?
2. I'm an ND holder while my wife holds an HND. Does our educational qualifications matter?
3. What are the steps to be taken in order to begin the process?
4. What will the financial commitment look like (In Naira)
It's a dream for me and will appreciate if anyone can provide detailed information. Thank you.
Pax! If you can follow the various forum on internet you don't need an agent. Your qualification matters a lot and in this case your wife education is higher than yours. The number of years of experience in your work also mater. First step is to evaluate your educational credential with a Canadian body like WES and also write IELTS exam conducted by British council |

You can get transcript for your highest qualification alone and just include photocopies of your B.Sc and M.Sc certificate |

I got info from my bank that CIC attempted my card twice yesterday (a minute interval) and couldnt go through. What i discovered was an error from my bank who placed hold on my account without informing me.
My bank has removed the hold and the account is free to be debited. In this case, will CIC attempt to debit again or should i call CIC and explain and that they should go ahead to debit my account.
please this is urgent.
Thank you Unibadan CIC will try to charge your account thrice, please write to your bank that they should grant CIC access to take the amount. |

azeezbaba: Alhamdulilahi robil alameen, the long awaited MR arrived this morning @ 8.46am (US Eastern Time) Salutations to my Ogas (Solomonwis and Damkollins)
My timeline is as follows: My NOC is 2172 1. June 19, 2014 Submitted my application 2. Oct 16, 2014 Received my PER 3. I notified Accra of my change in residence (now studying and living in US) 4. March 18, 2015 (had a baby but I have not notified Accra as I just started processing her international passport) 5. March 30, 2015 - Received my medical request + request for police clearance from Nigeria which I earlier submitted with my application in June
Solomonwis and Damkollins, I need your advice once more. How do I go about this? Should we (myself, wife and son) proceed for our medical and wait for my new baby's passport to arrive so that we can send everything together to Accra. I am planning on submitting an application for the new baby tomorrow and I have been told it will take 2 weeks for expedited processing.
Secondly, I have been asked to produce a new PCC even though we submitted one with my application in June 2014. I have the photocopies with me. Should I ignore the request and attach the photocopies I have because I don't know how possible it is to get the PCC from Nigeria as I am currently in US.
Thank you congrat friend |
