How well do you know about Asaba massacre? If you do, then you'd agree with me that those people need some closure. The USA had to apologise for the nuclear weapons dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945. They also took responsibility, that's closure. Saturday will be it's 50th anniversary of the unfortunate atrocity and only a few people know it ever happened, no one has taken responsibility.

The Ebonyi state government has announced that it will commence the registration of Ebonyi youths who were misled into joining the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

This was revealed in a press briefing by the state Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Job Creation, Uchenna Orji, He said the state government will commence data capturing and registration of IPOB members who denounce the group and apart from pursuing the action planned of making the IPOB members economically independent and the initiative would also help in reducing social vices and enable the members to contribute positively.
He said:

“The IPOB youths are being registered in the Department of Education and Social Welfare in the LGAs. After the capture, the state government will create a programme to train and empower them in their chosen career .”
