horsepower101: I am beginning to wonder if we are both looking at the same pictures.
So if the North get such amount of electricity as you claim, why are they very poor and lack so many industries? Why haven’t they developed their region. What is the excuse?
If what you say is true, they should be the most developed region in Nigeria.
You cannot develope without steady electricity. So what is stopping the north that gets 22 hours of electricity as you claim. You wanna argue development or the Energy? How many places in the south has much industrial development apart from the Lagos/Ogun axis? What most southerners call industrial activities are nothing but commercial activities. Moreover, how many countries with higher energy generation in Africa have much industrial and technological development ? |

horsepower101: To run a generator cost money. Those who can afford it have light at night. Those who cannot afford it stay in darkness.
This is an indirect show of disposable income. Which is the money that is left over after basic human needs are met. You would believe that there is a place of luxury and a place of necessity. Don’t stay in the south deceiving yourself o bro. Many of these nothern states do have at least 20hours of electricity daily. Hence, no need for a generator except for luxury.Even in some parts of Osun State, 20-22hrs of light is non-negotiable. I remember my stay in the south east, Umuahia and Aba to be precised. The lights there were wack. They needed generator so badly to survive, generator became a necessity. Don’t let anyone deceive you with this north thingy o, Na there dem dey pack our money go o. |

mercytripletz: People like you are the reasons lecturers are being evil to students and not giving them their deserved grades.
If you even read well, you would have seen that it is for three whole academic sessions but you didn't even read so I am not surprised.
This 'a school must produce very few first class students' mentality must stop. Seems you also didn’t read the part that states that the school has a total of 1121 students graduating. 12 academic programs with 72 first class graduates in a Nigerian conventional federal university? I think you should apologize to that fellow you just quoted and bullied. |

I wish Barcelona Male team had known this, they would have substituted Carles Perez for Asisat Oshoala, instead of Lionel Messi.
The 2 goals scored by Oshoala would have salvaged a point for Barcelona away to Granada and the result wouldn’t be that embarrassing 2 nill, but 2-2 goaless draw. |

Sisters of a bride twerking on the groom to test if he can be faithful to their sister by not getting an erection. What many people don’t know is that erection is parasympathetic, ejaculation is sympathetic. One chooses to have erection where he likes and when he wants. But sense should have enlightened those people that the true test of fidelity can not be ascertained or established from that act of insanity. |

horsepower101: Since the 21st century, Economist have been using night time satellite images as part of their indices to find out and track a regional economic development. The image below is from 2016. Notice where Nigerian true economic activities lies at. I don’t totally believe this as an index for regional economic development. Those light you are seeing are mostly generators. The southern region is chocked up and so densely populated. The need for generator to cool off at night and be on the same level with neighbors (in light generation) |

izzou: As much as I don't like this thread and it's insensitivity, yes, the Igbos supported Ex president Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2003.
He was in PDP and defeated Odimegwu Ojukwu in some Eastern states Odumegwu Ojukwu never contested the 1999 election. The Ndigbo went against the Yoruba wish of voting for Olu Falae of AD in the election. Olusegun Obasanjo was imposed by the Northerners and the South East went with the northerners to elect Obasanjo. The 2003 election was rigged for Obasanjo against Odumegwu Ojukwu in the East. Peace |
