emmasoft: That is not very correct. Understand that stanbic ibtc bank and stanbic asset management are two different companies with different interest and line of business, they only belong to the same holding company but operation wise they are different.
Sincerely going to a stanbic ibtc bank doesn't necessarily make you closer to stanbic asset management. Most of us assume the otherwise. Stanbic Asset management will never ask you for money to register your account online. The method of collecting deposits is very straightforward with their collection account made available or a stanbic ibtc wallet which bears your name.
I know many folks here i have to help them out when they were almost frustrated as they went to the bank to open MMF account. For days and some weeks no headway, main while within 24hrs then account are opened online.
Currently with the BluNest, life is even made easier. Your account is open instantly with basic status and becomes premium when you submit your kyc.
I just felt I should give some clarity and not ruling the fact that one should be careful online generally. When i wanted to buy T bills for 3 months I went to stanbic asset management they ask me to go to stanbic ibtc bank . |

This is very common in African culture where parents make their kids their life time retirement. Every parents should plan for their future retirement. You can decide to support them once in a while but not a most it is your reponsiblity to cater for them in their old age. People who always say this are rich kids whose parents still fund their lifestyle, can you tell CR7 this or Messi this? People who came from nothing take it their responsibility to take care of their parents . Not all parents are educated they have many parents who are farmers than educated so tell me . Divija: Today, we say goodbye to a man who once carried the hopes of a nation on his shoulders. A president, a father figure to many, a symbol of change whose journey began with promise and passion.
In his early years, he was a beacon of hope. He spoke with fire in his bones and dreams in his heart. Streets once chanted his name, not out of fear, but of faith. He walked into power with the blessings of the people and for a moment we believed again. We believed in justice. In growth. In peace.
But history, as it often does, unfolded with its own script.
In his final days, weakened by time and circumstance, he made a choice that will haunt generations. He handed over the soul of our nation to a tyrant one who rules not with love or law, but with fear and fire. Since then, we have watched our people drown in silence, our freedoms strangled, our dignity auctioned to the highest bidder.
Was it weakness? Was it blindness? Was it betrayal? We may never know.
But even in the pain of the present, we cannot erase the man he once was. The leader who once gave children books instead of bullets. Who once built bridges where walls stood. We honor that man today not to rewrite history, but to remember the full picture.
To mourn him is to mourn what could have been.
May his soul find the peace he couldn’t give his people. And may we, the living, rise stronger wiser knowing that legacy is not just in what you build, but in who you leave the keys with when you are gone.
Rest well, Mr. President. History will speak your name with both hope and caution. Robot President that only want to answer the name that all . For 8 years he couldn’t build a hospital 🏥 to treat himself in Nigeria. |

It’s a way people are starting small but still getting exposure to real estate without buying a whole house or land upfront. Worth researching if you're looking for where to grow your funds. I will make research about it thanks |

0ubenji: You must be really new to this, and I'm really scared for you. Having committed such a significant sum of money to something you have no inkling of its workings. It's Money Market, not Cowrywise market. Any rates you see are from the money market. This is not CBEX, and my worry is something happens now, which you probably could have decided better on, but due to limited knowledge, you probably skipped that and face an adverse outcome, then you come out to say Cowrywise is a scam and stuff.
I urge you to please take 30 minutes with ChatGPT to ask just about anything on Money Market Funds that pops up on your mind (no matter how silly) and carefully read the responses. Always be ready to read to get knowledge about anything that involves your money. This is not sarcasm. Stay safe.
To reiterate, no other asset manager is giving close to what you are currently getting on Cowrywise. 20+% is the prevalent rate this week while Cowrywise is giving 22% (21.95% today) First time I am into real estate I buy and sell property but my money short so I decide instead of leaving it in my account with no interest let me invest it. I wanted to buy TBills . Went to different banks non seem interested to listen to me or take me serious I guess they thought I am too small because of my stature . So I decided to do little research about mmf and best firm to use . |

0ubenji: As nickae already said, it's a market issue, nothing to do with Cowrywise. In fact, they are the only ones offering 22% at the moment. The rest are doing 20-21% mostly. It can get to 10% even. They never promised it would stay above any percentage. You are the one setting some expectations for yourself.
What you are seeing is what the market is giving, not Cowrywise. By the way, the screenshot redaction was unnecessary; the mathematics is simple. Given your APR and the daily interest, it's pretty easy to figure out that your capital is about 9.5 million. What is APR and how do you make the calculation? |

eniorisha: I need help urgently.
I am met a lady, who's in her late 30s , early this year. She told me she was engaged but d engagement broke up.
She & her mum had been disturbing me to come introduce myself. This I was dragging feet to do. Couple of weeks back, My girl reluctantly broke d news dt she actually did marriage: church and court wedding; but was frustrated out of the marriage by her father in law & her husband. According to her, d marriage lasted only 3yrs, with no child, as they hardly had sex throughout their stay together.
She said he has remarried already but without proper divorce. I insist proper divorce must take place b4 I go ahead with her, as Bible and law stipulate. But she & her mum see nothing wrong in re- marrying without court dissolution of her subsisting marriage.
Her mum sounds good & though every woman with their own weaknesses and headache, she's not bad, either, for a wife, especially with little patience for her. But I'm still holding out dt her subsisting marriage must be properly dissolved but she said either of them cannot afford divorce fees & d stress.
Pls, Can I go ahead and marry her like dt? I'm in my early 40s; very minimal relationship experience, no child, & never married before. The cost of a divorce in Nigeria can vary significantly, but generally ranges from NGN 1,000,000 to NGN 2,000,000 for a standard, uncontested divorce where both parties reside in Nigeria. If one party is located abroad and requires virtual court appearances, the cost can increase to $1,500 to $3,000 USD. Contested divorces, involving disputes over property or child custody, can cost significantly more, potentially reaching NGN 2,000,000 to NGN 3,000,000 or even higher, especially if a Senior Advocate of Nigeria is involved. |

@realDonald Trump
I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to "just do it," but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn't get it done. I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come - And they know how to use it.
Certain Iranian hardliner's spoke bravely, but they didn't know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse! There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end. Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.
God Bless You All! Don’t ever negotiate with the west they only care about themselves, Russia been stabbed many time now Iran. Negotiations is still going on yet you help Israel to refuel while they strike people you are negotiating with so what the need of it if you can’t control Jews but you always assist them ? |

Putindbutt: Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi recently said that Nigeria can no longer be called a democratic country.
In a pointed critique of Nigeria's democratic state, Peter Obi declared that the nation no longer merits the label of a democratic country.
His remarks, delivered during a Democracy Day address, have sparked a flurry of responses, including a notable correction from Jubril Gawat, a senior aide to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
However, the focus shifted slightly when Gawat took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to address a visual element If Peter Obi's presentation.

NYSC › Re: Can A 27-Year-Old Graduate Get NYSC Exemption Without Age Modification? by Tolu2024(m): 5:10pm On Jun 08, 2025 |
Kingdavid579: Hello everyone, hope you’re all doing well.
I have a serious question regarding the NYSC for a 27-year-old Nigerian graduate who’s also a self-employed businessman. This young man actually financed his entire education through his business, which means his livelihood and future depend heavily on its continued growth and stability. Now, the prospect of leaving this business to serve in the NYSC feels like a huge disruption—not only personally but also financially.
With the current state of Nigeria’s economy, where entrepreneurship and small business growth are highly encouraged as vital drivers for development, stepping away from his business at this crucial time could be disastrous for him. It might slow down or even halt the progress he’s made so far.
So here’s the main question: is there a legal and official way for him to obtain an NYSC exemption letter without having to change or modify his age on his NIN? He wants to be fully compliant with the law and avoid any complications, but also wants to protect his business and future.
If anyone has experience with this or knows the official procedure, please share your advice or insights. It would really help clarify the situation.
Thanks a lot in advance! As long as you finish school under 30 you can go to nysc whenever you want to go even in 30 to 50 years time . You can just snub it as you don’t want to go , don’t do anything that will affect you in future just leave nysc nothing will happen. Or you can work it to your state you are doing your business. If you don’t want to spend 21 days in camp you can can do medical as sick person so you won’t spend a day in camp Don’t change your age for anything. If you don’t go to nysc now nothing will happen to you as you finish before 30 you can go anytime you want to go . . |
