Politics / Breaking!!! Impeachment: Ekiti State CJ Sets Up Panel To Investigate Fayose by tolu4you: 5:50pm On Jun 04, 2015
In line with the directive of the Speaker of the Oshogbo branch of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dr Adewale
Omirin, the State Chief Judge has constituted a 7 Man panel to investigate Governor Fayose and his deputy.
Governor Fayose has been facing impeachment threat from
the APC lawmakers since he became Governor in October,
last year.
The Omirin led lawmakers at a sitting in beer parlour in
Oshogbo this morning had directed the CJ to set up the 7
man panel.
Members of the 7 man panel are:
Femi Falana SAN - Chairman
Lere Olayinka
Bimbo Oluwayose
Samuel Omotoso
Omoyeni Abiodun
Deji Adesua
Bola Agboola
Modupe Alade - Sec.
The recommendations of the panel will form the basis on
which the rebel APC lawmakers will decide the fate of the
Governor and his Deputy.
The impeachment will be the last official assignment of
Omirin and his run away lawmakers before their tenure
expires 12 midnight today.
Members have only 3 hrs to submit their report to Rt. Hon
Omirin in Osogbo.

Politics / Jonathan's Loss: Aides That Contributed To His Downfall by tolu4you: 4:08pm On May 21, 2015
That President Goodluck Jonathan lost the presidential
elections is no more news. What is news is that some of
his aides who paraded themselves in the public sphere
like untouchables, contributed to the political down-fall
of their principal.
Naij.com has compiled this list of Jonathan’s aides who
were partly responsible for his loss. Read below:

1. Dr. Doyin Okupe: The administration’s attack dog was
a disaster. His contributions to Jonathan’s loss will take
a whole book to write down. He courted many enemies
for the president rather than friends. Okupe’s
temperament and inability to soak in criticisms were his
greatest undoing. President Jonathan would have long
wielded the big stick on the Ogun State born medical
practitioner turned politician. His childish rants on
twitter, uncivilised arguements with opposition leaders
on television and insult-filled press statements were a
public relations disaster for President Jonathan.

2. Professor Ahmed Rufai Alkali: How do you employ a
political liability as your political adviser? That was the
question on the lips of political observers after Prof.
Alkali resumed office as the political adviser to Jonathan
some years back. Alkali has never won an election in his
political life. He has only had appointments from
government and has relied heavily on propaganda in
staying on course in the political sphere. Alkali no doubt
contributed to the failure of Jonathan at the polls
because he wasn’t effective in his role, he lacks the
political sagacity to mobilise people and failed woefully
to galvanise support for the president.

3. Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd): Dasuki is one aide anyone
should not pray to have. As the National Security
Adviser, he was a a ticking time bomb. As an aide to the
president, he was more of a curse than a blessing. A
rabble rouser, the Sokoto-born prince did more harm to
Jonathan’s campaign than good. His careless
statements, security blunders and silence on major
national issues bordering on security was to say the
least damaging to the president’s image.

4. Kingsley Kuku: Kuku who started on a good note in
his position, was at some point carried away. He joined
the infamous gang of Jonathan’s political ‘mercenaries’
whose brief seemed to be “Defend the president at all
cost whether right or wrong”. His role in the Ekiti
elections also dented his soaring image and that of his
boss. He also went on a talking spree that made him goof
severally while trying to justify the government’s failures.
He was criss-crossing round the world telling all that
cares that President Jonathan was the best thing to
happen to Nigeria while the gale of unmitigated disasters
at home continued unabated. Kuku is one man the
president should have called to order long before he lost
it completely.

5. Reno Omokri: Nigeria’s social media community will
never forget Pastor Reno Omokri. From the Wendell
Simillin saga to his retweet or favourite series to his
dramatic demotion towards the end of the Jonathan’s
administration, Omokri was a combination of
cluelessness and incompetence. Why he left the pulpit for
politics is not yet clear, but Reno should have stayed
back. His contributions to Jonathan’s loss are
enormous, gigiantic and un-quantifiable. He turned a
vibrant youth population in the new media against the
president through his unnecessary tweets and black
propaganda which backfired at the end.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) is pushing for disciplinary measures against
Femi Fani-Kayode, for the scathing remarks he made
about the party’s leadership .

jaey:

U r one of the pple that I knw wld openly declare ur love for ur state and ur presently embattled governor. I rily appreciate dat btw.
But u saying he(governor) is the best u ever had has got me thinking and wondering which angle ur thinking and reasoning is coming from. Let's not forget that ur state is one of the poorest state in d country, mind u he was a sitting governor b4 now and did nothing to improve d condition of the state and lets not even go into how he was removed frm office. The fortune of d state was beginning to improve wit fayemi at d helm of affairs. But we are back to d old 'fayose era'. When fayose was campaigning he capitalised on d fact the d pple were poor and materialistic(thinkin only of demselves not abt d dev of d state as a whole) and shared rice and oil to buy the votes of ekiti pple for his use and some1 would come out and say he is a grassroot politician. Its laughable that there is something called 'stomach infrastructure' in ur state, Wise pple wld want to be taught how to make wealth(jobs, vocational centre infrac. dev.etc) and not to be fed by some1 or d govt.
Am just stating the obvious fact and i strongly believe the ekiti pple deserve more that all they are getting.
Just logical/constructive criticism which is obliged to getting a factual/constructive answer.
Thanks a lot.
did u knw ekiti very well when Adebayo left? everything you see today in ekiti was fayose master plan. ekiti is one of the poorest states, no doubt about that, but fayose left billions of naira when he was impeached. Do you knw why apc lost ekiti governorship election? fayose didn't not owe workers salary in his first term in office but fayemi did. fayose did employment but fayemi didn't etc. About your stomach infrastructure........ both apc and pdp shared rice in ekiti, go and confirm. fayemi caused apc to loose ekiti, thats the fact. im a apc member.

That is likely not true. Venoms are harmful when injected in the blood stream, not when injested after cooking. Don't you know you can cook any animal including scorpions and snakes, and eat them, and be safe? That story is believed to be a boax.
maybe you try it.........
