People always the misunderstanding that IT courses are meant for Computer science graduates alone, but that is false.

Anybody can do it, as most of the foundational courses don't require existing knowledge of Advance computer studies.

As long as you can operate the computer, then you are good to go. Some of the list of courses are;

Web Design

IC3

Web Development

Programming

CEH (Ethical Hacking)

Networking (N+, CCNA, CCNP)

Hardware repair (A+)

Multimedia ( Graphics Design, Adobe photoshop, Illustrator, After effects, etc)

We at IIHT offers all these, so do well to pay us a visit and lets know how we can help you achieve your IT dreams.

I will be more happy to do that. Where is ur office and do u do weekend programmes?

Would you like an Honest reply? I will give you one.

That certificate has gotten to it's saturated point.

Every Corper is automatically HSE certified, but the bad news is that they only give them a half-baked certification which makes it very difficult for real firms to pick them up.

All the time I talk to corp members and other graduates, I tell them to take up a course in IT because it is one of the booming sectors right now in the country.

We will be holding a seminar on this and would love people in Lagos to be in attendance. Thanks.

Thanks, which IT certificate can you recommend for a non-computer science graduate?

Hello house, please I need a candid and matured advice on how relevant is HSE certification currently on Nigeria. What is their demand in labour market?

I'm about applying for the programme so I asked a friend who have done that 3 years ago, but he hasn't done anything with the certificate. Therefore, I'm raising it on the house to know how relevant they are.

Thanks
Computers / I Can't Use My Game Pad On My Laptop by tolulope2021(m): 2:05pm On Apr 12, 2017
Hello house, please I want the gurus to diagnose this issue for me.

I recently Installed a super mario bros game on my laptop, well installed and about to play, I discovered that I can't use the game pad to play it, it wasn't working.
I tried using the system keyboard and it worked perfect. I checked all the drivers and the were working perfectly. With other games, it was also working.

I checked the control and I did all I ought to do but not successful. Please, is there anyone to help or anyone has idea on what I can do.

Thanks.

Not just any education but vocational trainings where individual skills are taught in regards to specific jobs roles.

The problem with Microbiology is that its more of a tool and not a discipline (my opinion)

Since you are already working in the area of Packaging, I would suggest you direct further learning in that direction. Look for trainings (think I saw one recently on eventbrite), meet people and build a career along that path.

You could also get a Lean Sigma 6 certification, it would help a lot later on, especially since you are in the manufacturing industry.

All the best

You can please send me more info on the lean 6 sigma

Be flexible pls, Nigeria don't have that field for microbiology.
Diversify, try your hand in technology field, creative business and Enterpreneurship, service based enterprise etc
so go and get some of these skills, it pays.

Thanks you, but it will be more nice if you are a bit specific

ok! that's cool! then joining the institute of public analyst (IPAN) will be ideal for you. IPAN trains laboratory personnel for quality control! The quality management systems training is a bit expensive. you can Google SGS quality control training to get details of a company in Lagos that offers such training/certification exercise.

Thanks, I'm really grateful

if you already have a job that requires knowledge in microbiology, i would advise you join IPAN (the professional training is 3yrs) or get certified by NSLT (i think it takes 18 months). you can also get certified as an environmental health officer/industrial hygienist by ehorecon (this will take 2yrs). you can also try out bioinformatics, since you are a microbiologist. there are also quality management systems certifications you can go for. it all depends on you my dear!

by the way, where do you currently work?!

Thanks Bro, where I work, I don't do microbiology work, but I work as a quality control officer where I ensure good quality of products dispatched from the company. I'm even the head of quality control section and we are into flexible packaging.

It had got me thinking over time on what advanced course I can do as a microbiologist.

I just felt I should not be contented with my B.Sc certificate as my work cannot allow me to run a full time masters programme. It got to a time I think of even digressing from my line (microbiology) to either management line or computer tech line.

Please house, can you please enlighten me more on certified recognised courses I can do. Thanks.

Crime / How I Was Duped By Mtn Today by tolulope2021(m): 2:05pm On Aug 26, 2016
This morning around 8:25am, mtn sent a msg to my phone as regards their wow weekend. This is promo where you are to load 2000 naira and subscribe for their 3.5gb data plan for the month and you will be give an additional 17.5gb bonus to use for the weekend

I quickly recharged my phone and loaded the money as I was still having like 900mb on my phone.
To my surprise I was given the 3.5gb and only for me not to see the 17.5gb bonus. I was furious as I quickly called their customer plan. The guys were like they don't know why I couldn't get it and since then I didn't hear from then

I see this as fraud of the highest order. I tried to browse but my data is Benin deducted from my monthly plan.
Here are the screenshots of the messages
