No be small thing but do you know why Nigeria will never experience such or have as much occurrence? We don't even have fighter planes, the ones we have rarely go on missions, our pilots rarely do trainings with them, we'd rather keep them in the hanger like monuments. You're comparing those who fly hundreds if not to thousands of planes monthly with yourself who probably fly less than 100 a year |

It's even difficult for me to threat someone I'm not dating that way! It's dicey but I think I understand him, nigga clearly said, he had told her several times to not visit unannounced. And I think that thing is that, that bread that has stayed 2 months without spoiling would pass their "acceptable standard" metric and they can't tell that to the public cause it will cost them their integrity and they'll lose public support |

Macphenson: They would have tested and given out the results, that would allaybpublic fears and restore confidence. But them not even doing that is an indictment on them. Would it allay public fears if they tested it and found the ingredients used is within their acceptable standards? Acceptable standards this days is way beyond what the average Nigeria expects. |

Macphenson: NAFDAC is not acting as a regulatory body on this issue. I was expecting them long before now to have tested the samples the woman had, and tell us the result. Who told them Bon Bread wouldn't hurry to put their house in order evee since this issue started?
NAFDAC test the bread the woman showed on her video and give us the result.
The woman even said days after that sample of bread stayed with NAFDAC, it was still fresh. NAFDAC refused to test that sample with the woman
Honestly NAFDAC died with Dora Akunyili. I guess if they had tested the lady's bread with the same metric, it would have shown the ingredients used is also within acceptable international standards. Here's my thought, most packaged bread these days have long life span mostly over 3 weeks, something Nigerians are not willing to accept. Infact there's a popular bread whose selling point was that it doesn't spoil for over a month, sealed packaging and top branding. Personally I bought a popular brand of bread a few days back and I've decided to keep the rest, I'll see how it turns out over the next few weeks. I shake me head for what NAFDAC approves as acceptable standards these days. |

Tolupage: Let them drill aiming at the quoted 160m, but ensure to be there when they start installing the casing and count how many casings were used. Each casing is about 5m and then do the maths to arrive at the number of meters dug.
If they found water at 50-70m they definitely won't continue digging till they get to 150m. I'm not sure they can dig further than 20m once they hit water. So theres no issue.
The cheating might come in if you're not there when they're installing the casing as they can install 20 and say they did 30 if you were not counting. |
Properties › Re: Borehole Experts, Please Help Me Interpret This Survey Report And Drilling Quote by Tolupage(m): 7:03pm On Mar 08 |
99thEnemy: Good day everyone.
I need advice from people here who have real experience with borehole drilling.
I carried out a geophysical survey on my plot this month, March 2026 , to determine the best location for a borehole. The survey suggested two possible spots: Point 2 and Point 6, and the recommended drilling depth for both spots is 160 meters.
However, from my layman understanding of the report, it seems like water may be available at a shallower depth than 160m. I may be wrong, which is why I am posting here for expert interpretation.
Attached is the survey image so that those who understand these readings can help explain whether 160m is truly necessary or whether water can reasonably be gotten at a lower depth, especially at Point 2 or Point 6.
I was given the following drilling quotations:
₦17,000 per meter using 8 bar PVC casing ₦18,000 per meter using 8 bar PVC casing
I was told that the difference between the ₦17,000 and ₦18,000 rates is the casing thickness, although the exact diameter and wall thickness were still not stated clearly.
I was also given another quote of:
₦24,000 per meter using 10 bar PVC casing
But again, the diameter and wall thickness were not stated.
I also asked how much it would cost if they do only the drilling/punching, while I buy and supply the casing myself. I was told that drilling/punching only would cost ₦14,000 per meter for the 160m depth.
I want to ask the experts here:
1. Looking at the survey image, does it truly mean I need to drill to 160m at Point 2 or Point 6, or is it possible to get good water at a lower depth?
2. Am I misreading the report where it seems water can be found earlier?
3. Does a recommendation of 160m usually mean that is where the best aquifer is, where the cleanest water is, or that shallower water may not be reliable?
4. Between 8 bar and 10 bar PVC casing, which one is more suitable for a 160m borehole?
5. Since I was told the difference between the ₦17,000 and ₦18,000 per meter quotes is thickness, what exact thickness should I be asking for?
6. What exact PVC casing specification should I be asking for: diameter, wall thickness, pressure rating, screen/slotted pipe spec, and brand/manufacturer?
7. Is it a red flag for a driller to mention only 8 bar or 10 bar, and say one is thicker, without stating the exact diameter and wall thickness?
8. If I decide to buy the casing myself, what exact specification should I request so I do not buy the wrong one?
9. Apart from casing, what other materials would I need to provide if I go with drilling only/punching only?
10. Is ₦14,000 per meter for punching only not unreasonable?
11. Is it better to let the driller supply everything, or is it safer to buy the casing/materials myself?
12. Between Point 2 and Point 6, which location looks more suitable based on the survey?
13. What other questions should I ask before agreeing to drill?
I do not want to make a costly mistake, so I would really appreciate advice from people who understand borehole drilling and casing specifications well.
Thank you.
please I need help Let them drill aiming at the quoted 160m, but ensure to be there when they start installing the casing and count how many casings were used. Each casing is about 5m and then do the maths to arrive at the number of meters dug. |

Flangelo12: Whether Elon Musk is "racist" is a subject of intense public debate, with accusations stemming from his social media activity and corporate management, while Musk himself strongly denies the label. Arguments for the Accusation
Critics and civil rights organisations point to several areas as evidence of racial bias or the amplification of racist ideologies:
Social Media Activity: Musk has frequently engaged with or amplified far-right accounts on X (formerly Twitter). This includes replying "yes" to a post about "race communism" and agreeing with a post that claimed Jewish communities push "dialectical hatred against whites". He has also used X to post images seen as relying on racist tropes. Corporate Discrimination Lawsuits: His company, Tesla, has faced multiple lawsuits alleging a culture of racial harassment. In one high-profile case, a Black former elevator operator was awarded $3.2 million in 2023 for enduring a hostile work environment at the Fremont factory.
Platform Governance: Since Musk's takeover of X, researchers have documented significant spikes in racial slurs and hate speech. Critics argue his removal of "trust and safety" teams and reinstatement of banned accounts have turned the platform into a "hub" for far-right content.
Opposition to DEI: Musk is a vocal critic of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, calling them "racist" and "corrosive to society". He has also accused mainstream media and elite schools of being "racist against whites and Asians Ain't it shameful that you had to go copy and entire response from gpt to support your own claim How does being against DEI makes you a racist Like I said, it seems you lot are quick to point racist finger at everyone, yet you can live in peace with your neighbour from the East, West or North from the same country... |

Kemetian: That's a very IGNORANT way of looking at history and Africa.
Congo is underdeveloped because it was INVADED BY THIEVING COLONISERS who used FIREARMS to destroy what was a GLORIOUS precolonial African civilisation.
Do you know that MATHEMATICS was invented in Congo?
Look up the Lebombo Bone and Ishango Bone. World's oldest mathematical objects dated over 25,000 years, and showing evidence of the knowledge of Prime Numbers.
Mbanza Kongo was the precolonial capital. According to a report
''Founded before the arrival of Europeans, Mbanza Kongo became the royal seat of the Kingdom of Kongo in the 14th century. By the time the Portuguese arrived in 1483, it was already a large, organized urban center — with structured neighborhoods, noble compounds, and a royal court system.
The king, known as the Manikongo, ruled from here over a vast territory that included parts of present-day Angola, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Gabon.
Early Portuguese accounts describe it as:
A planned city with wide streets
A central royal compound
Thousands of inhabitants
A structured aristocracy and administrative system
This challenges the outdated myth that Africa lacked organized urban civilization before European contact.''
....So this nonsense of saying ''Oh because it's whites there'' is absolute RUBBISH.
Africa INVENTED the very concept of cities. INVENTED ARCHITECTURE.
Your next day neighbour minus Chad, Sudan, has over 250 PYRAMIDS, more than Kemet (or 'Egypt'), and older than any structures in Europe and America.
IF WHITES HAD SAT IN THEIR OWN DAMN COUNTRY, AFRICA WOULD BE THE MOST DEVELOPED PLACE ON EARTH TODAY. This doesn't hold true. Egypt that is one of the earliest sight of major civilization in the world do not rank in top 10 or maybe top 20 most civilised nations today. Ethiopia was never colonized yet they struggle with tech and civilization. China, US, Japan, and many other European and Asian countries have had their fair share of colonization and or bout of wars that many African nations would never recover from if we were the recipient of those disasters. Something is inherently wrong with African minds and one of them is playing victim instead of picking ourselves up and face our reality. I pray we find healing, the right leaders and mindset to move forward |

Lexzeey: In every family there's these uncles and aunts who knows nothing about you, they don't even know your name sometimes or how you survived into adulthood but feels you owe them allegiance whenever they see you.
first off I know it's an African thing to always respect people older than you, and before you crucify me I am also an adult now with his own adult life, I keep to myself and I don't force people to respect me as respect is earned.
A family member died and we all came back for it, coupled with the holidays, the whole extended family was present including some of those in diaspora, I'm an introvert so I keep to myself, I generally greeted everyone when I came and sat in my corner.
Then there's this useless Cockatoo who drank free beer until his brains froze, first he kept talking about yahoo boys, how they dress a certain way, how they do all sorts to be rich, how they kill people to be rich, they both with soap gotten from herbalist, they don't go to work yet they're living fine, they have cars at a young age etc.
Now when you're talking and you don't call my name trust me I won't answer you. Even if it's obvious you're talking about me, and from all indication this man was talking about me, one my mom is dead, two I earn online and don't physically go to work, third I am not begging I'm doing okay, but I still didn't pay him any mind, then he indirectly started talking about how they don't respect people enough, he was so pained for some reason and condescending.
I just got up and went to a shop outside our family house, as I was buying something this weyrey came, I got what I wanted and turned to leave and that was when I felt it, waaam at my back, this guy slapped me on my back, then he asked me directly, didn't you see me? Don't you know I'm your uncle?
I lost it, and like a reflex I slapped him back hard it was a resounding slap, he staggered backwards, and my cousins held me, before I know it has spread that I just slapped uncle whatever his name is, what's painful is everyone blamed me, for being disrespectful and suddenly it didn't matter what he did, I'm somehow supposed to attone for it.
this man didn't know how I survived till adulthood, not even a penny of his went into my upbringing, I don't know why he felt I owe him respect and allegiance, even if I did, why does he have to go about it that way.
Google image How old is your uncle, I know there are uncles who are 5 years older, some you're probably age mates. If he falls within this category, I'd say your reaction wasn't too bad, but if he's really as old as your parents, then find a way to apologise. Safe bro |
Sports › Re: Fans Boo Osimhen After Lookman Outburst (Video) by Tolupage(m): 9:26am On Jan 06 |
manuelkel: Unarguably, he's got a bad attitude, but something triggers such attitude. Osimhen is hungry and thirst for more, as a center forward it's annoying when your teammates become indecisive when pressuring. Is it a big deal to just pass when necessary? I've watched a lot of his matches, he overreacts when you don't give him what he wants which is the ball. Just give him the ball when you are sidelined by an opponent, he's always there, always in the right angles. Also, have Osimhen ever scold Lookman when he(Lookman) scores?? Infact Osimhen is always the fess to run to his wingers when they score. But just give him the ball when you're sidelined, don't gamble a 1vs1 display when pressuring knowing quite well Osimhen has the space, he's spaced brilliantly, he will also point to you the spaces, don't gamble a 1vs1 display give him the ball. Then if eventually you gamble right and score he will be happy, but if you don't it annoys him because he sees it as a clear miss of chances. I played CF role, it's annoying when your wingers are indecisive and gamble with opportunities like this after the runnings and energy wasted. Same reason Wayne Rooney overreacted at old Trafford . I saw someone who mentioned that teams don't want him because of his attitude, that's a fact lie. A big fat lie!! Attackers have the right to be selfish. You're winning comfortably, you've scored 2, its only normal for others to attempt getting their names on the score sheet, which is totally fine. What is not fine is consistent outbursts like this. Something that VO9 has littered across his playing career for different reasons. Yes, no big team wants players who is always in the media for the wrong reasons more importantly against his own team. VO9 needs to check his ego and temperament |
