For the second question, I actually meant that by the time I will be applying for the visa, the bank account would be two months old i.e I intend to open it next week and I'll be keeping the funds for 28days starting from mid June.

1. My passport will expire on the 22 of February 2022 and I intend to make a visa application in July this year. Although, I am trying to renew my passport but just incase it doesn't come in as at then, can I make use of this current passport for my application in July? I hope it won't affect the visa application.
2. The bank statement I'll be using for POF will be 2months old by the time I apply. The condition I was given by the sponsor is that the funds have to be kept in my account with a particular bank and I'll have to open a new account there. Can I go ahead with it?

You need 6 months working behind feb 2022 so July should be fine . With naija it one day at a time so work with what you have... use the passport and if there opportunity get a new one also process it by the side but I think you just about fine

17th Nov 2020 I received my condition offer

7th Dec 2020, i received my unconditional offer after submitting the required documents and passing my credibility interview

14th April 2021 CAS was issued..

15th April 2021 i did my TB test.

Standard VISA application..

29th of April Biometrics

The waiting began, I won't even lie, it wasn't easy, checking my mail every now and then..

18th May 2021 I received two collection mail. I was in Benin, i had to run to Lagos today 19th May, i got to Lagos before 12pm then i dashed to Ikeja to collect it.

When i got home, i nervously opened it, there my VISA was smiling at me.....

I can't fail to appreciate some people here, you all were really helpful...

Yes you can... When applying for visa, your passport should still have a minimum validity period of 6 months.

You can only apply for a renewal when your passport is less than six months to expire else it will be rejected. Alternatively if it's still more than six months you can only claimed that your passport was stolen or got missing before you can apply for a replacement.

Hi guys, my TB test has been scheduled for July 19th. Do I have to pay now or wait till probably few days before the actual test before making the payment. Thanks!
