TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Tomiccell: 1:59pm On May 24, 2016
I don't quite understand your first question, But, you must be assessed by EA if you intend going PR route.

Being accessed for one particular occupation does not restrict you from seeking employment in other areas, so yes, you can work as an engineer in other engineering discipline

Dfavouredone:
Please house, Just a quick question.

Must i get an assessment from EA (Engineers Australia) before been employed as an engineer?

And if I an assessed by EA under mechanical engineer occupation, can i work as engineer in other engineering discipline; say project engineer or maintenance engineer.

Car TalkRe: Error Code: P0741 (corolla '07) by Tomiccell(op): 8:43am On Mar 09, 2015
Hi Muza, please did you get to work on your corolla's Code P0741 issue?

Muza:
I also have this Code P0741 on my 2004 corolla which has a mileage of about 180k miles, been driving it like that for over a year with code, the car drives well and ok. I just recently noticed that my transmission fluid is dark colored and also smells burnt.

After doing some research online, I am considering draining the transmission fluid (not flush) and putting in new Toyota Type T-IV transmission fluid for now. Planning on changing the solenid when i come across very competent mechanic in Kaduna, I dont want just any body to touch my transmission.
Please what do you think?

1.I heard that flushing the transmission fluid on a high mileage car can damage the transmission fluid.
2.Also that you have to wait for the engine to be cool before changing cos that can also damage the transmission.
Please how true are these?

@Donbuchi1, wondering if you ever got to fix your corolla's Code P0741 issue?

donbuchi1:
I have the same issue with my corolla as well - Code P0741.

My mech advised that the lasting solution would be to change one of the faulty solenoids around the transmission system.
There are about three there. But I have being driving it like that for 6 months now because according to him the other two can carry on but could as well go bad if driven for a longer period of time.

You are quite right the acceleration rate between 1st gear to some point in 2nd gear is not fantastic. You get to feel it when you want quick acceleration.

The faulty part according to him will cost 35k to be ordered from Canada, US or Japan. But I intend going to Toyota service companies to compare prices.

Early next year I hope to fix the problem. I will be monitoring this thread to learn from you as well.

@alphadux1, all the best. Any chance you could shed some light on the structural interview. Any sort of hint on what to expect? Thanks Bud

the IT systems engineer professional test was very very difficult for me.i virtually guessed all the question
For me, the aptitude test was more difficult. The Technical test was way better, i feel i was able to answer most of the MCQs and theory correctly.

PhonesRe: Things Samsung's Galaxy S4 Can Do That Iphone 5S Can't by Tomiccell: 11:03am On Dec 27, 2013
Dunno what the big fuss is btw S4 and iphone5s..in all honesty, they are both lovely phones.
I hardly think there's one better than the other in totality. They've both got their highs and low points. Think it balls down to what you want from your device.

One question for most S4 users.. In the real sense, how often do you use all these great features on your device (air gestures and what not)?
Truth is, for me. I love my iPhone way more than S4 mostly because of the UI feel, apps, the actual performance and feel of the iphone5s is fantastic. Plus now the fingerprint home key. It adds a big level of ease while still keeping the phone sleek and secure. The screen size is a 10/10 for me, can comfortably use my thumb to navigate most daily used things. It serves all my requirements and still looks very sexy

Johnson213: P0741-Torque Converter Clutch(TCC) Solenoid-Performance or Stuck Off.

Probable cause : Wiring, TCC Solenoid.

Source: Autodata Software

You need a knowledgeable rewire to help trace the wiring leading to the TCC Solenoid to be sure it is ok first. If ok, then the culprit is the TCC Solenoid which you will need to replace asap to avoid the risk of having to replace your whole transmission. A stitch in time saves nine. Best of luck.
Nice one...seems its time to lookup a reliable person in ABJ for this.

Thankx Bro. Someone also mentioned the faulty solenoid to me too. Although,i was advised to just change my ATF oil for starters and see how it goes. So far, it hasn't occured again. I'll keep monitoring and if it appears again then will need to investigate further.

BTW, what city are you in?

Car TalkRe: ATF For Corolla 2007 by Tomiccell(op): 11:10am On Dec 08, 2013
Finally drained the wrong ATF and put in Toyota's T-IV. I must confess, there is a big difference in gear change experience.
Now i'm getting a much more better gear change.
Moral of the story: I could have caused damage to my gear system by just using a random 6k ATF, instead of the recommended 7k ATF. Minor mistake, major consequence

Hi guys,
please what ATF could i use for my 07 corolla?
Serviced my car on Saturday in Abuja and couldn't find the OEM specified ATF (Toyota genuieT-IV), my Mec used "Lube metron ATF Dextron III D"
I'm not totally satified with that.

Thankx

Car TalkError Code: P0741 (corolla '07) by Tomiccell(op): 1:21pm On Nov 22, 2013
Hello people, please i need some help here smiley

I did a computer diagnostic on my car yesterday and had the code “P0741” on the Diagnostic report.
It reported the same code twice.
Code001: P0741 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off
Code002 is exactly the same, only it shows up as “History”
This is the first time I'm scanning the car since it got cleared at Apapa sometime in June 2013.

Car details: Toyota Corolla 2007 CE model, 1.8L Inline 4-cylinder, automatic. Roughly 71k mileage. Location, Abuja
------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of my observation on the car and why I decided to do a computer diagnosis.
After Lagos clearing the car was driven from Lagos to Abuja in July, and when I received it. I immediately noticed the Check engine light was on.
I panicked a bit, because my friend drove the car within Lagos for 2days and didn’t mention anything about check engine light before it left to Abuja. Also the driver didn’t observe when the light first came on.
After doing some research online, I checked the fuel tank cap and though maybe it was possible they didn't close it properly. Surely, the next day the light was off. And it didn’t come on again for another month or so.

The first time i drove from Central area to the Airport and back, the light was back on again. And i didn't get the time to have it checked. Sadly, I ignored it because it went off on its own within 2days
The light has come up again maybe 3 other times since then. Each one of them occurring after driving long highway distance on speed (e.g. Gwarimpa to Kubwa, Wuse2 to Airport, Abuja to Kaduna)
Now on weekdays I cover about 20miles/day going from home to office and back. That's from Lifecamp to Central business district. Mostly driving on the highway.
Even with covering extra miles going between other places and weekends, these sort of journeys over the months has not caused the check engine light to come on.
So I have observed if I don’t make long distance drive, my check engine light doesn’t come on.

As per driving experience, the car drives ok to me. Not much I can complain about for its performance. Although sometimes I feel, the acceleration rate between 1st gear to some point in 2nd gear is not fantastic. Other than that the drive is usually “pretty fine to me”

As per the Code P0741 , I have done a bit of research on the internet regarding the code and honestly i'm a bit worried. Most of them pointing towards some sort of transmission issue. But they have been mostly vague

I just need some advice towards the possible issues and fix,or maybe someone has had a similar issue in the past

Thanks
