This is a thread born out of the need to know what really happened that made NNPC not to shortlist us. I filed out the NNPC recruitment form online in 2012 and after one year, i received an email from them in December 2013, asking me to upload my credentials which I did accordingly but was surprised that my name was conspicuously omitted during the shortlisting. Is there any explanation for this? People in my shows let's discuss and find a way forward. I am worried since the messages and emails started rolling in. Its a thing of sorrow that after waiting for NNPC for 2years my name won't be among those shortlisted even as I have been following up the recruitment both here on nairaland and other sources. I even gave many people that called me during that time some invaluable information. The situation is really pathetic. My fellow nairalanders that didn't get sms and email invite, what's your view on this? Is there any hope for us on this? *SAD* |

I applied in 2012 and was told to update my profile around dec 2013 which I did correctly but haven't received any invite up till now. I believe mine will come today by God's grace. Amen... *hoping* |

Nielbaba: A guy enta oooo who b d person , meanwhile i went to vick lawrence and associate to write test today around 2pm just by luck cos dey stop by 12 noon.u can go der on any thursday to write .its like dey are d one dat provide the candidates for dis petrogalp cos i went der wit d guy dat gave d info about why i opend dis thread, dey set cheap questiions .i remember some i will update it here soon .just any thursday btw 8 n 12 ,its one of dos street opposite eko hotelI wrote the petrogap test. See how I did it; I sent my friend that does bulk sms the invite and he customised it and sent it back to me as a bulk sms. Other guys that just sent the invite from a cell phone to cell phone were bounced back because the number of the sender was there at the bottom of the text message (even though they saved the number as petrogas) but in my own case it was Petrogap. I was lucky also because I went to the venue early and when they found out that people are gatecrashing they have already checked my message. Two other guys that gatecrashed too wrote the test. I thank God I wrote the test and am hoping for the best and for all the people that didn't write its not the end of the road; keep pushing till you get there. Thanks 1 Like |

Amen I am a Nigerian(igbo) residing in lagos and am aspiring to apply for US visa because I have been selected to be a volunteer/fellow for a non profit organisation in the US; a program organised by an organisation that brings fellows/volunteers from all over the world to come and do a non-paid work in the US. I am writing to seek for your help as for the type of visa I need to apply for and the necessary documents I need to present on the interview date though I have not applied for interview yet. I finished my service in february 2014. I could remember travelling all the way from Niger state where I was serving to Lagos for Bristow helicopters cadet test which wasn't successful afterwards. After my service, I wrote NIS test at National stadium, Lagos and my guess is as good as yours as regards to that. I later got a job as a personnel delivery officer with truerebel fashion company at ikorodu but quitted after 1month because of the meagre salary coupled with too much stress and exhorbitant tfare(I was coming from Isheri-Oshun in ikotun) and the salary was poor. Since then, I have written PZ test twice; I didn't pass the PBT( 1st stage). I reapplied again and passed the 1st stage but didn't pass the CBT (2nd stage). I wrote Deloitte test but didn't pass the 1st stage test(PBT). Also, i wrote Asso mortgage bank test by Dragnet but didn't pass the first stage test(CBT). I also wrote a test at DCC amuwo odofin where I scored 6/6 which was organised by DCC/SOL recruitment agency, I was interviewed and I passed but wasn't called to start work(I wonder why). I also wrote a test with Accion microfinance test and passed but didn't take up the job because of their requirements(2years bond with 39k monthly salary) However, I am waiting for Lagos Verbatim Reporting interview we just did some weeks ago and also waiting for NPA to call us for interview for fire fighters post. So on the interim, I am with my in-law in the clearing and forwarding business so I can be a licensed clearing agent pending when my dream job comes. In all, it has been quite a frustrating and energy sapping experience; someone once asked me jokingly(I took it seriously though) why I haven't gotten a job despite going for series of interviews. I felt like the ground should open and swallow me that day. I know that one day, God will surely see me through and bless the works of my hands, I know he sees my efforts. I am not in the least deterred by these challenges because it makes me a stronger person. One love !!! 2 Likes |

Maybe after the interview I would have to ask them how long we would wait again before we hear from them. We waited 4months after the test for this interview and maybe after this interview we would have to wait for another 6months which means we would start the program probably next year. I would also ask them the salary scale of this poo so I would know if I would pull out in time. The wait can be energy sappy and frustrating. Mtscheeeuuuuwwwww |
