If there's something that gives me joy in life, it's when I help in in my little way. Givers absolutely never lack.Life is beautiful when we help those around us . Sometimes I always winder what it will be like to have millions in my account, I may not even be happy, There remains a void in my heart when I see people living in abject poverty.

I have a true story to tell.
I happened to meet a young girl if about 12 while in school. I came home from lectures to see her moving around my hostel. I asked why she was there and she told me she needed to see one of my hostel mates who obviously is not around. From the disappointment on her face, I asked her if everything was fine. She narrated to me a story about how hungry her family was, and the fact that her mom sent her out to borrow money from my mate. I asked her to take me to her mother. It was an uncompleted building and I didn't know how somebody can live in that kind of place with grasses everywhere. I feared for snake bites as I approached the mother.I gave her quite a fairly good sum and told her not to return it . The way she thanked me sent a deep knife down my spine.I wish she never did, it made it even unbearable because it broke my heart even more As I was living the compound in a haste for fear of snakes, a iron rod dragged my leg, almost ripping off the last toe on my left feet. This woman and her daughter didn't know what to do, at some point, I noticed they were begin to feel bad, I had to hide the deep pains I was feeling. The blood trailed me back to the hostel. It was a deep wound and so I had to visit the hospital to take injections and dressings of course. For over a month, I limped. But I have no regrets. When i look at the scar on my last toe, I remember that sometimes we may get in trouble for trying to help somebody, but we must also remember that it's pays to have a beautiful mind, it soothes the soul.

"Slow Dance More"

Grady johnson was a common man
Four children and some bottom land
Early to bed he said well that ain't me
I gotta spend some time with my family

Left to it's own device may becomes june
But children grow up all too soon

So love your neighbor as yourself
Don't use money to measure wealth
Trust in God but lock your door
Buy low sell high and slow dance more

Mama johnson was grady's wife
She bore his children and she graced his life
Hand in hand and side by side
They worked hard to simplify

Some folks have and some have not
What really counts is what you do with what you've got

So love your neighbor as yourself
Don't use money to measure wealth
Trust in God but lock your door
Buy low sell high and slow dance more

And more I think I understan
What my father's father meant
When he said son what matters most
You can count on just one hand

So love your neighbor as yourself
Don't use money to measure wealth
Trust in God but lock your door
Buy low sell high and slow dance more

Buy low sell high and slow dance more

Kenny Rogers

I think FCT Nairalanders should come together this Xmas to do something for the less privileged.

Am interested bro.. .. #abujanairalander

Sound and Fury

“A Tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing” These immortal words of Shakespeare, where he described life as a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, but signifying nothing. He probably meant that all our lives struggles were nothing in the final analysis of things. As some of us might have experienced firsthand, tales told by idiots are mere sound and fury, they have neither head nor tail; theme nor direction. This was the position of Williams Shakespeare on life.
Shakespeare may not be alive today but his words seem to be evidenced in the current political trends in Nigeria. The All Progressives Congress on the 6th March 2015 organized a fundraising dinner for the Senatorial Aspirant for Benue south senatorial district Comrade Daniel Onjeh at the Sheraton Hotel And Suites Abuja. In the invitation sent out, The ceremony was billed to be attended by the high and mighty of the party, and below were some of the dignitaries slated to attend-
1.) Dr. John Oyegun (APC national chairman) as the chairman of he fund raising event.
2.) General Muhammadu Buhari, as the special guest of honour
3.) Bola tinubu (national leader of the Apc)
4.) Prof. Yemi osibanjo
5.) Rotimi Amaechi
6.) Comr.Adams Oshiomole
7.) Atiku Abubakar
8.) Sam Nda Isaiah
9.) Chief Audu Ogbe
Not only did the above listed not attend the said event; they did not even have even the courtesy of sending any representatives to stand in for them at the event. The turnout at the end of the day was merely 30-40 person(including photographers and waiters). One begins to wonder why such act of impunity by the so called party of progressives who have in recent time, thrown caution and courtesy to the wind as well as breached all the political rules of engagement in the forthcoming polls slated to hold on the 28th of March
We should not forget that there has been so much hype in the media about the seeming ‘wide’ support enjoyed by the APC as against the PDP in the forthcoming elections. The media has created the insinuations that the party works as team, but what was witnessed during this event was far from the utopian creation of internal unity of the party propagated by media. It was disheartening and within the safe waters of Shakespeare’s above quote, to note that the fundraiser was attended by only members of the comrade’s campaign trail, and about fifteen other people including waiters and photographers thus summing up the event to have been merely “full of sound and fury signifying nothing”.
The only thing that was realized at the fundraiser was the fact that the organizers had wasted money in search of money they did not get. It is more laughable when we consider that the Comrade is running against the incumbent Senate President, Sen. David Mark. Could it be that the APC party has bitten more than it can chew? It is often said that discretion is the better part of valor and as Chinua Achebe righty said in his work, Things Fall Apart, “at times we stand at the houses of cowards, to point at the graves of brave men”. We only live in hope that Comrade Daniel Onjeh has learnt from this failed fundraiser that APC not only has a faux popularity but more sinister is that the party has no internal framework of courtesy. On a lighter note, at least the waiters, photographers and some few persons were adequately fed enough to last them a life time due to the poor macabre attendance at the said fundraising dinner.

vicadex07:
For pro-GEJites the 2015 campaign is about Buhari, Buhari and Buhari. For pro- GMBites the 2015 campaign is about Nigeria, Nigeria & Nigeria.

Questions for Jonathan and PDP
1. Why was (is) "Boko Haram" busy destroying
states and areas that the opposition party will
win convincingly in the presidential election?
2. If we are to believe that the opposition were
the brains and architects of "Boko Haram",
then why is it that they have never ever
attacked and destroyed any prominent PDP
figure or their properties?
3. If the opposition have the capability of
arming "terrorists" with armour tanks, RPGs,
AA Guns, military uniforms, military trucks,
helicopters and the ability to command
soldiers to vanish from military checkpoints,
wouldn't they have targeted to destroy PDP
strongholds and their assets?
4. Why would the opposition seek to destroy
their own strongholds anyway? To achieve
what?
5. Why was (is) "Boko Haram" targeting to
destroy basically only prominent northern
politicians and their traditional rulers and their
communities?
6. In the light of questions 1 to 5 above, why
has there been a deliberate campaign of lies
and propaganda by the PDP and their religious
wing that collect bribes in billions of naira that
"Boko Haram" is the baby of the opposition?
7. Of all the cars used by "suicide" bombers
retrieved from the scene of their attacks, to
whom were the cars traced after forensic
investigations? Why is it that nothing is ever
heard after such evidences have been collated
at the scenes since 2011?
8. At the last count, over 500 hundred "Boko
Haram" suspects have been in detention since
2009, but why is it that government hasn't
been able to come clean on those sponsoring
the "terrorists", and why is it that, with such a
huge treasure trove, government has not been
able to know and curtail the operational
methods of the "terrorists"?
9. Why did the "terrorists" become stronger
after a scandalous 33 billion dollars (over 4
trillion naira) was expended on the so called
war against them?
10. Isn't it curious and suspicious that a
ragtag group called "Boko Haram" whose bulk
of fighters possibly had only one week
trainings could overcome and overrun our
military men who spend 5 years in the NDA,
some months in Jaji, and some months also
at the National War College in Abuja apart
from several overseas trainings?
11. Why was it that, at a point from 2013, the
Nigerian military was not taking the war to
"Boko Haram" camps in the deserts of the
northeast instead of waiting for "Boko Haram"
to come on the offensive?
12. Since when has repulsion become the best
form of defence instead of attack?
13. Why did "Boko Haram" have the most
freedom to operate and destroy so many
towns and villages during all the period of
State of Emergency that was supposed to have
made them immobile?
14. Was the State of Emergency some fraud
pulled off to empower the "terrorists" and
make the targeted communities sitting ducks
for easy elimination?
15. Who was providing "Boko Haram" with fuel
and other logistics in their camps considering
how they easily move with long convoys of
trucks to operate without challenge?
These are not the only questions.... There are
many more. But they've not been able to
answer any of these, rather they always want
to heap their scheme on others.
These questions and many more could be the
reason they are mortally scared of losing
political power. But it just can't continue like
this anymore.
Change is a basic constant in life.

Lovely piece! Now my answer!
1.) it is because the northerners taught they will benefit from boko haram
2.)because training a soldier in NDA if he has no superior fire power is useless
3.)because the us refused to sell us weapons! Blocked Isreal and South Africa from equally assisting us
4.) because now our neighbors are in the fight with us and boko haram has no where to run to
5.)because pa buhari said an attack on boko haram is an attack on the north!
6.)because lai Mohammed Acn condemned boko haram being tagged a terrorist group.

Whether you like am or not GEJ TILL 2019!!!. FIRST PRESIDENT TO STOP EBOLA! And he will now be the FIRST PRESIDENT TO DESTROY A TERRORIST GROUP!
Dr. GOODLUCK AZIKIWE EBELE JONATHAN 2010-2019 GOD'S CHOICE!
