another factor to consider is the Orion 18 itself.....a file might be corrupted..

1. when did it start hanging wen it gets to the analysis stage?...or diz is how it has always bin since u installed d software.
2. have you tried running a simple structure on it, like a simple panel structure (one story with one slab)? if no, try and do it

my system specs are 4Gig ram, core i5, 320gig hdd, and the project I'm working on is a 4 storey, about 16 columns.
@ the bolded, I dont really know about that, if its a case of corrupt file, how do i rectify that?

kudos to everyone who has in one way or the other make contributions for making this thread alive. esp @sentaljohn. please, am having issues with my Orion 18, it usually stops responding when running building analysis. Please what can I do to correct/stop this as it has been preventing me from going further to complete my design. Attached below is a screenshot of the problem.
