Politics › PDP Again, Using Farmers As Tools Of Campaign !!!! Hmmmm by tonychristopher(op): 6:01pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
The mobile phone might as well be the most vital tool to decide who emerges Nigeria’s president in next month’s elections. With many rural farmers equipped with phones and millions having benefited from a more effective fertiliser distribution, the People Democratic Party (PDP) believes that beneficiaries of what it called ‘its agricultural revolution’ will be its trump card. Most of Nigerian voters are in rural farming communities despite rapid urbanisation in the last few years. http://itedgenews.com/wp/2015/01/23/pdp-sees-phone-and-fertiliser-support-for-farmers-as-gejs-trump-card/ |

hardbody: I am igbo bro. Arochukwu kingdom in particular. Where babes are 2 a dime, guys flex like today is doomsday. The elderly party hard and everywhere is fun round the clock, round the month, round the year. I am even going back next weekend to take my car which i dropped during xmas. To think i flew back on the 11th to resume work on the 12th. One funny thing is that these Nigerian oversea are thinking that men are dulling and I am finding it hard to see any reason any sane man will spend thousands yo be a janitor or something I am trying hard |

hardbody: LOL. Where I come from, every end of year, we compare notes with the guys abroad and so far we are doing better than most if not all of them, so none of these issues arise. Apart from the older generation that hit it big (my uncle who is in Houston and was already large before he traveled and continued doing well, employing oyinbos in his companies both in Nigeria and abroad) and a few others in his category, all my school and classmates are still struggling to make an impact. It was severally a point of discussion as we were hanging out this xmas. We point at their parents dilapidated houses begging for retouch and renovations, you cant see the one they have built for themselves, they bring in one Tokunbo car that they sell when they are done in the Villa, they are stingy with buying booze (we the locals declare for all as many times as they want). All we see around them are large sporting wears with big canvass and a lot of wanna wanna gonna gonna.
Like i said, where i come from... You must be igbo..that is the truth |

tzoracle: Even if we are burger joint workers and janitors we aspire to attain greater heights. We can't do that without capital, and this keeps happening if we don't have savings,I personally know of a yoruba guy in texas who worked for eight years at kfc,he saved every single penny he earned and now owns his own food chain. Family should understand that we have to make a living too I keep saying it that Nigerians are suffering in overseas ..was at Europe last October the sales attendant in supermarket was a Nigerian and I just looked at the dude and wondered how he can make a meaningful living not to talk of flying home It is terribly hard there ..now is winter most lack earners |

OdenigboAroli: You are right...Its like rejoicing not just being happy....my uncle will say "ona afa ufala",meaning he is rejoicing or making merry. I believe its one of those archaic Igbo word that is going extinct. Like "ulu" which mean stealing but is rarely used nowadays. Even okongwu, onye uri/uchi which all means and elderly person. Also "zezelize" which means beating around the bush, being confused or indecisive. These are all archaic,at least in Idenmili. My mother will never say nwanne nnyaa which means two days ago, rather she will say nbosi toor nnyaa. Igbo na asu nonu-nonu. But if Ukwuani say they dont want to be a part of the nation,so be it. But they cant stop being Igbo because its in their Dna...the modern Ukwuani will name their kids chioma,chidinma,ifeanyi,emeka,chukwudi,ndidi....lol. They cant run away from being Igbo, its only gonna get stronger. Well spoken the problem I usually have with some of them is that they assume we speak one unified Igbo just like them we have dialects and accents just like the dude in united kingdom But let's not forget that we have pure Igbo amongst theism and we shouldn't allow the grand children of Benin felons to smear them Here on Lagos they associate and are called omo igbo they don't have qualms with that also I think the deniers are in minority ..its rare to see such .I am an in law there so I can talk categorically |

Science/Technology › Nigerians have issues accepting Nigerian software by tonychristopher(op): 5:47pm On Jan 22, 2015 |
There is 100% Nigerian software; one thing is that Nigerian software solves more problems that are local than the foreign software. At a time some firms were asking how much a firm pays as a tax or how much employees are meant to pay as tax. In our experience we have come to realize that most software written in Nigerian does solve the local challenges better. We have a HR software called Doc connect personnel which is a local software. We realize that firms were particular about how much tax and existing FIRs tax structure. We noted this problem and incorporated it in our software. This software is in tune with the HR needs of Nigerian firms, this software never removes more or less from an employee of an organization. A lot of firm appreciated that. The software specifically solved the human resource problems of these firms.
