Good day @JewelStone et all Kindly advise. Am seeking to move to through studying. I have tried Canada but my age 41 is not giving enough point. Below are my details: Education HND Computer Sc. 2006 Work experience 10yrs Application Developer IELTS 7 Band Because my point wont go beyond 60 even if i max IELTS / PTE, it wont make sense trying Australia skilled worker class. Can i apply for TAFE with OND 2003 or go for expensive Post graduate course? JewelStone: I know you feel terrible about the visa rejection but you should've seen this coming. After a certain age, going to TAFE is suspicious especially if you already have a bachelors plus years of work experience. The education industry is a major source of revenue for the Australian Govt, they are more interested in Intl students going to Universities to pay exorbitant tuition fees than people using TAFE as a decoy to enter their country. This is why TAFE has a low approval rate, their tuition fees are low and most of the students don't have genuine intentions.
People here have asked you about the true state of your employment letter but you've ignored the questions. If you applied with fake documents, don't waste your time and money to get an immigration lawyer, the 3 years ban won't be waived. You have to wait for 3 years before applying for any visa, including spousal visa. The ban is only waived for people who overstayed their visas (even this is very difficult to get), not people who used fake docs. Plus getting married soon after the student visa rejection reeks of desperation, and won't help your application at all. So you have to plan carefully to avoid further bans.
I usually don't bother about this sort of posts. But I'm trying to correct the impression that if an application is denied and the applicant banned, getting an immigration lawyer will solve the problem. No it won't. I'm also concerned about the way you simplified the ban, as if you're encouraging other applicants to use fake docs.
Visa applicants should use genuine docs and avoid using TAFE COE at all cost.

Hi Bellong, Which option will be suitable for a 41 yrs with 10yrs working experience in (ICT) Application development? NSW is giving 60 pts. is there a category of 476 for me? bellong: Age: 30 points
Eng : 20 points
Qualification: 15 points
This is your potential points... 65. But as a mechanical engineer, you need at least 70 or more.
If you come on 476 and you are able to get a job as a mechanical engineer, after one year you can get 5 points for professional year in Australia and if it is a regional area, additional 5 points making 75 points.
It is doable. And if you don't get something in mechanical, you can join the queue and hope mechanical will drop to 65points.
Whichever way, I believe you should take the 476 and start the PR process immediately you land. |

@Pipedreams, Sorry about that, had the same issue. Please if you are not using the same DS-160 profile, ensure you delete the old one and print it colored if possible. I have been turn back twice, one pic, 2nd time was the old Application Id was sticking out. am yet to reapply. Pipedreams: I was turned back. I didnt upload my passport on DS160. I cudnt actually but i was told that i could bring a hardcopy to d venue on the site. So misleading. Now i have to reschedule. So sad |

My interview could not hold today reason being that my current appointment in their file is showing the first Application Id (ie the old profile is sticking out). This is the second time am applying after wasting the previous two attempts thru cancellations. I was advised at the embassy to delete it and get another date. a) Who knows how to delete old profile? b) Is it still possible to include my wife now as i have seen married men denied because they are going alone? Am not including my kids in the vacation because it might look like am not coming back. **My wife is a business woman. Please advise. LadyGuinivere: You asked him to state the genuine reason Then you go ahead and feed him with suggestions of that he should say. Tomorrow when the vo has finished reading the klegged answers and refuses him, he'l be asking " what went wrong " These are the things that " went wrong " even before the interview. In the bid to " help" always consider if it's the truth and if your advice will be more harmful than beneficial.
@op why is your wife not going with you? Why are you asking? We dey your house? Rehearsed and untruthful answers are just annoying to hear. Those that have sat in the interview halls and heard all sorts will tell u that |

Thanks alot @skydude skydude: Why not state the genuine reason because as u can see exams for your kids would be starting earnestly and they should be rounding up before your departure date, so take that into consideration, for your wife u can use her business depends on what she is into, if na office, she is not due for leave now as she just went for a conference last two weeks, at so and so but when she is due she would be joining u soonest |

Whats you age? are you married? Jades27: Hello Everyone,
I am new to this thread even though I have read from page 0 to a point. I recently passed my IELTS LRWS 8.5,7,7,7.5. I started my ECA with WES since september. LASU delayed the verification process and the status on WES currently is "in progress" I will like to know if;
1. Do i need to wait for ECA before taking any steps? 2. Using the CRS calculator my score is 416, Can this work? or what can I do to boost this point?
Looking forward to your response. |

belovedtianah I had the same challenge last month while creating my profile. I had to use a different email addr, to create another profile and select Credit card. They will notice the duplication later and delete the old one after making payment. In your new profile you will get message like the below: Order Cancelled Your duplicate Document by Document Evaluation (ECA) - Initial Application order has been cancelled. belovedtianah: Good day,
Please I am having issues paying fees on the Wes website. I erroneously chose the western union option but I intend paying with my domicilliary debit card but the other option I'm seeing is the credit card payment option. Has someone tried paying with this option using a debit card? Please I'll appreciate your responses?
Thank U |

Thanks @Nwandy218. Nwandy218: I tried the TEF route but couldn't get the additional 30points. It depends on your proficiency level. If you are about B2 Delf/Dalf, den you just need little brush-up/revision. But you can still try. CLB 5 which is about B1, gives you a max of 15 points for second language. |

Thanks for the post. Some of us with estimated CRS of 415 are still hoping. Wish i can see get advise on house to ace TEF, dat will give extra 30 points. Algbenguze: LONG POST ALERT!
From my observation, CRS cut-offs are usually determined mainly by the draw size and then interval btwn draws and to a lesser extent the number of candidates in the EE pool. The reason the cut off recently didn't really drop as anticipated, even when we had up to 3 draws in August, was because of the relatively smaller draw sizes. The closer draw intervals were offset by the decrease in sizes. Let's see some figures: The last 4 (Aug-Sept) draw sizes were 3264, 2991, 3035 & 2772 (twice below 3k) ITAs with CRS of 441, 433, 434 and 435 respectively. Now compare that with April draw sizes of 3753, 3923 and 3665 with CRS of 431, 423 & 415 respectively. Let's see also May with similar draw sizes of 3796, 3687 & 3877 with CRS of 423, 415 & 413 respectively. Another factor is that the number of EE pool candidates has increased from an average of 50k in Apr-May to abt 58k averagely nowadays- more competition. Now you see why cut-off no gree drop further ba? .... .... Sorry about the long post, just thought I should do a little analysis. Cheers. |
