ekpotek: Thank you for appreciating my analysis. This analysis is from my own experience as I did just what you did for my first UK visa application to attend a conference and I was refused.
The main issue here is that you need to explain in your next application with a cover note how you’ve been able to survive on a monthly spending of N20K. This is the key to getting the visa. If truly you are living with your parent and not contributing to rent and feeding. You will need a supporting letter from your parent stating that you’re living with them and why! The letter must be very detail to convince the ECO that you can indeed making this savings. You will also need to point out that all inflow into your bank account was your monthly salary which you have not spent and why, bringing your opening balance to N510K. You also need to tell the ECO that you are actually saving for this exam and you need to finance your trip with minimal contribution from your parent etc. Good luck. Thank you once more ekpotek. Im sorry about the first denial, but please was ur circumstances like my first application or this new one Im trying to make. And also what did u do differently the next time that made a difference....Also I ve spent 60k this month. Though I didnt need most all those money of withdrew. Yes I stay with my parents and dont pay for feeding for a while now. Only use to 20k for few things in the house... Also is there a problem with an opening balance of 570k?? |

ekpotek: To answer your golden question. Postpone your examination if possible to next 6 months. This will allow you bank account to normalize as you resumed your normal spending pattern. The ECO is right as there has been a deliberate compulsory savings to bring the account balance to N1.3M for visa purpose. This does not in any way reflect your normal spending pattern. The question is if you spending pattern in the last 6 months is normal, how come you had a opening balance of N210K since you started working in October 2016. In order words, with an average monthly spending of N20K you should have had a opening balance way beyond N210. The lesson here is that the ECO is not usually carried away by a huge closing balance, but your overall financial sufficiency over time. The other aspect of lack of dependent is secondary as may people have gotten visa without an dependents. Bless you Sir.l, this is the most objective review I got si far. Pls I intend to re apply again by March 2nd. This time my opening balance will be 570k and closing might be around 1.2 after paying for priority Visa from my account... Is there a problem with this. Also bank statement will run from sept 4 to march 1st. Hope no issue as it falls 3 days short of 6months.. |

This post is a BIG lie. I personally work in fmc owerri as a doctor and I use this same emergency room. As doctor on call I have always treated patients with gunshot injuries countless number of times without asking for police report.
I wonder why people who have no signifcant cerebral grey matter open their mouth to talk irrationally because internet is free without adequate consultation and inquiries. Its just too sad. When a doctor saves life nigerians go to thanksgiving, when something goes wrong even if its not the doctors fault, they blame him/her.
Best guess is that either the individuals couldn't raise the money for the immediate surgical intervention or the facilities for treating such cases aren't on ground, who's to blame your Government not doctors |

yody: Oga bellong and other amiable landlords on this group, i hail oo Thanks for all the support you have been giving people so far on this platform, may God bless you all abundantly amen. I went back to reading the thread again, this our profession is really giving tough time. All medical doctors here can relate. I saw where bellong advised someone, tony....., cant recall d name well about having to write the AMC first stage before getting a temporary work permit in australia. Toor, we are too broke for that, exam fee, flight and other expenses to SA or egypt where the exam can be taken. We decided to go with the primary health organisation manager, assessed by vetassess, no specialisation required, no minimum requirement required. Though we wld go with the skill assessment support first inorder not to waste precious money on the skill assessment proper. We wld do that by GOD's grace January. I wld need all the supports from you all . Work in a general hospital and also a private hospital (PP) simulttaneously(work in the private hospital 4pm - 10pm daily + weekends. Can i claim that the private hospital is a private primary health center/organisation/hospital? I have 4 years work experience ( including housemanship done in a teachung hospital, during my service year, worked as d only doctor in a newly built hralth center in that village, and then since den my present job) Please house, what are my chances? What are the likely challenges i can stumble upon in my journey? Age - 30 points I would definitely adjust my cv to be in line with that of the primary health organisation manager. In the private hospital where i work, we are just 2 doctors that work there and oversee all activities, the other doctor covers 8am-4pm
I wish i can get a positive assesment so as to be a point of contact for medical doctors, just like the engineers in the house. Please help so i dont make any mistake. Thanks. Very good to meet you here yody. Pls can u email me lets Liase on this: Umeaditony@gmail.com Been deliberating on this for a long time. Your prompt response would be highly appreciated Good day house, Happy New Year people. Kudos to chief bellong and others paving the way since 1805, God bless you all I will be Writing ielts ukvi academic by February, wanted to know if ukvi(uk visa immigration) academic ielts is acceptable by Australian immigration. Its pertinent to note that its same thing with ordinary e academic except its administered only in Lagos and abuja. Chief bellong and other your responses will highly appreciated. |

mamajaz: My $1000000 advice, if you docs have other handiworks even if it is on the trade occupation list like painting, plumbing, etc, just get assessed with it when you get there you will find your square root as a doctor. Then, you will know that owo Abu le maa fi sabu lalejo I.e, you will do your exams and registration with their currency. Hope l don't sound like slighting our ever efficient professionals? LOL, you are quite funny ma'am, well there are other jobs like the ones i listed above occupational therapy, primary health organization manager, medical administrator, welafare manager. Thats why Im asking Bellong and other well informed member of the group if VETASSES can give doctors positive assessment so we can go ahead, when we get there we write the Aussie medical board exams as there are no centres in Africa to write the exam. Thank you for your 1MILL advice, I ll certainly go with it. Perhaps you can help if you have more accurate info Thanks |

bellong: @tonymd,
Yes, your degree will be assessed to equal bachelor degree which is what is needed for the occupation. However, your experience will be assessed negatively.
For primary health organization manager or medical administrator, you need at least three years experience in primary health care or as a medical administrator. Those two are the only ways you can move without going through the medical board exam.
I believe the exam can be written either in Egypt or South Africa. On passing the first stage, you can use it to get employer's sponsored visa to go through the second stage or one year supervision practice.
As previously said, if you have a lot of money, another option is to come as a student so you can write the exam and look for sponsorship after. Thank you very much bellong, by next year I should have gotten 3 years experience then I can quickly apply, however would just want to know if I can be accepted by vetasses for the post of primary health organization manager and welfare manager for PR if I qualify for the sixty points, then write the medical board exams when I'm in oz, however my problem with the Masters is what is the guarantee they will give me a job when Im done and not send me back to Nigeria even after passing the step one of the board exams. Secondly the fees are quite expensive perhaps could you offer me an idea of a scholarship I can readily get with good IELTS score. Thank you very much once again |

I have been patiently reading this thread on page 1 till page 90 for about 3 months now and I must say I was completed blown away by the rare kindness and selflessness shown by people here on this, especially Baba BELLONG and SCROLL and a host of other who have immensely contributed to the growth of information in this page. you guys are the bomb and God will continue to shower you with blessings.
Baba belong I'd like to adopt you as a mentor as you seem to have indepth knowledge concerning skilled australian migration while demonstrating palpable humility, sincerity and discipline. You ve won my respect bro. please I humbly request for your personal email sir, mine being umeaditony@gmail.com. would love to hear from you soon Sir
for introduction, Im a medical doctor who graduated from University of Nigeria January 2015, worked in a hospital roughly about 2years, set to go to NYSC by next month, though Im willing to leave it if good comes up due to the harsh economic circumstances I may not want to work in Nigeria.
My question is this house, I ve carefully gone through the Skilled Occupation List SOL, I know that for me to practice as a doctor in aussie, I have to write the Australian medical board exams but I cant write the exam anywhere in Africa hence I would love to move to australia to obtain a PR with another job then while on it I write my Australian medical board exams which I will surely ace by God's grace. I will be writing both IELTS and PTE soon and I hope to meet the required 60 points with or without sate sponsorship
The problem I have now is that I couldnt find the best job suitable for my line of profession being a doctor. However I found Primary Health Organisation Manager ANZSCO Code: 134213 VETASSESS Welfare Centre Manager ANZSCO Code: 134214 ACWA/VETASSESS
I ve read the job descriptions but still not satisified if they can accept me with only a medical bachelors if I qualify up to 60 points. As I felt the jobs might need a masters or be advanced, please correct me if I am wrong Residents of Australia is there any other of the skilled occupation list Im qualified for with Nigerian medical bachelors so I can get PR and work easily over there for the time being till I write the Australian medical board exams.
Thank you everyone in anticipation of your apt replies and answers to my question. God bless you all. Tschus! |
