honourhim: So why do the yoruba here attack igbo for demanding for their own country? Typical Ypruba hypocrisy. I am Yoruba and I believe Igbo's should be allowed to go if they want. However, the way you Igbo's present your case like bunch of illiterates and rogues make one detest your cry for your own country. Am certain Kanu is educated. I expected him to carry himself like an educated person instead of calling Nigeria a zoo. It is very wrong and unruky. Only disorganized illiterates do that. |

Politics › Re: VP Osinbajo's Bank Account Hacked, N8million Stolen by tonytony208(m): 8:46am On Oct 24, 2015 |
Emekamex: Policemen attached to the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) Ikeja are investigating an alleged theft of N8million from Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s bank account. It was gathered that two undergraduate students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka identified as Ebuka Orumba and Patrick Nwafor allegedly hacked into the account of Simmons Cooper Partner, a law firm said to belong to Vice President Osinbajo and allegedly stole eight million naira (N8miilion) from it. According to investigation, the undergraduates Nwafor is a final year 500level student of Environmental Science while Orumba is a final year Computer Engineering student. It was gathered that the students used fraudulent means to hack into the email of the Account manager of the VP’s law firm, one Mr. Tunde Irukera, and they allegedly sent a mail to UBA PLC branch to one Obuba Fidelia on July 2nd instructing the bank to transfer eight million naira from Simmions Cooper Bank account to three different bank accounts they opened for the fraud. It was further gathered that the undergraduates allegedly connived with a tricycle rider one Artor Kalu to open a bank account with Zenith bank account number 2086943174 where three million naira (N3,000,000) was transferred to with the false name Engineer Asukwo Okoro. The remaining amounts were said to have been transferred to two other unnamed bank accounts. Luck however ran out on the undergraduates when their alleged gang member, Mr. Kalu went to the Zenith bank account at Mushin to withdraw the N3,000,000 but was nabbed by detectives from SARS following a tip off from the bank. The police subsequently arrested Kalu and following his statement, the police arrested Orumba but Nwafor escaped. Following the investigation, the police discovered that Kalu with the help of others got a fake Driver’s license which he used to open the Zenith Bank account. The police has since charged Orumba and Kalu to court on a 5 count charge on conspiracy, stealing and fraud while efforts is on to arrest Nwafor whom the others claimed to be the mastermind of the fraud.
Source-> http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/osibajos-bank-account-hacked/ Igbo's and fraud are one and same. Why won't these flaaaatheads use their lives for something better? The Yoruba's and Hausa's are not their problems; they are their own problems. But they will never accept this truth. Talk of baby factory, prostitution, drug trafficking, robbery; they are always tops. As far as they are concerned, everything is about money They can even sell their mothers for money. |
Politics › Re: Why The Igbos Want Biafra And Yoruba/hausa Don't.. Personal Observation. by tonytony208(m): 7:42am On Oct 24, 2015 |
inlandtaipan: I have taken my time to ponder why the agitation for secession is whelming within Igbo's and not with yorubas/hauas and I have come to a conclusion that history has a part to play.
Yoruba's/hausas generally believe in monarchy system of ruling, From time immemorial, we have been hearing of Oyo empire, ijesha kingdom, ife kingdom from Yoruba land and sokoto caliphate, kano emirate etc from Hausa land. These kingdoms are a system where lot of villages submit to a particular ruler and pay homage to him, unlike in Igbo land, nobody wants to be ruled. The only king of a major town in Igbo land is obi of Onitsha and that's because Onitsha people adopt little Benin element and even obi of Onitsha doesn't lord over anybody. In Yoruba land, you see oba of Lagos, ooni of ife, olu of Ibadan, deji of akure, awujale of ijebu, alake of egba etc, all the major towns in the north have emirs lording over them. You can never hear things like eze of awka, eze of Enugu, obi of nnewi, eze of aba, eze of port Harcourt or eze of umuahia.
What I'm trying to say? It is a habit for yorubas/Hausa to merge with any other body to form a single kingdom (Nigeria in this case). This monarchy system doesn't work in the East. An average yoruba man respects oba than the governor of the state, same as a hasua man will respect emir. Take ijebu as an example, we have lots and lots of communities coming together to form one kingdom, same as other kingdoms in Yoruba and hasua land.
The coming together of a thing is also evident in the settlement pattern of the our villages, an average igbo settlement is in such a way that people build compounds away from each other, nobody wants to be lorded by anyone. But when you go to the north and west, they build close to each other and appoint a ruler, they are historically submissive.
This is a major factor firing the Biafra agitation and since its a culture in the east, i think no one can stop the agitation, we are different people. We don't do thing same way. It is shameful to see people who know NOTHING about the Yoruba's attempt to tell us about us. I mean people with limited knowledge, who don't even know all about their own tribe. |

IlekeHD: I love Ekiti, but if they could vote in that slowpoke called Fayose, then they're not as smart as I thought. During fayemi's reign, the government was too far from the people and the people did not like that. In fact, fayemi was a governor in abroad; he was running ekiti state from another state. He was rarely found in government house or his residence. Fayose came with an alternative: a government the people can see. And the people rushed him like hot cake. Can you blame them? |
