It's so sad that people are so ignorant. The police officers did their best to prevent the raging crowd from scooping the fuel. The transporters were trying to transload the fuel. Nobody could tell if it was a phone call or the hot weather that caused the explosion. I passed the scene of the accident immediately it happened. I saw the driver in tears and pain sitting on the road after odupkani federal housing estate.i saw the police and road safety trying to render assistant to the driver. There were about three guys with kegs busy scooping fuel, the policemen warned them to stop but they refused. The place became rowdy with more youths and women hustling to get their share of the spilled fuel. As I type no fire fighter tank has come to put out the fire.
If another tanker falls tomorrow in that same area people would still go and scoop fuel. We never learn in this country. Standard of living and reasoning is almost below zero. Hell on earth was the case of those that got burnt today. I commiserate with the management of fynfield and rainoil company

Nice1 I was a member of dance and drama group.we use our drama to educate , entertain and promote cultural heritage of the state we are serving.banks,companies,ndlea,government agencies etc hired our services.we are the only CDs apart from sport CDs that travels to Abuja for the annual nysc drama and sport national competition.
The exposure is awesome.but it isn't for lazy people

One of the major reasons why Tinapa failed to live up to expectations is the unavailability of viable airport or airstrip close enough to the place. Potential tourists would have to travel by air to Calabar, and on arrival, travel by road for about 3 hours before getting there. Who would want to journey for so long for just a weekend trip when you are to resume work on Monday?

Although one won't totally blame Donald Duke for failing to foresee that, I believe a viable fast rail transport would open up Tinapa since it seems the high hills and mountains may make it unrealistic for airplanes to get there.
