Nigerian hip-hop star and DMV leader, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that the National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, has cancelled his one-year orientation exercise.

Davido made this known in a comment on Instagram via his handle davidoofficial.

Davido was reacting to a post made by Nigerian music promoter, Adesegun Adeosun, popularly known as Smade who just finished his three-week NYSC orientation program, and got a letter of recommendation.

Davido wrote, “Naso dem cancel my own.”

Davido is a graduate of Babcock University. He graduated in 2015 after studying music.

He registered for NYSC in 2018 as a Batch ‘B’ stream II corp member.

HOUSTON, Texas — A Bank of America ATM in north Harris County in Texas has been shut down temporarily after witnesses said that it was mistakenly giving out $100 bills.

The machine dispensed $100 bills by mistake for a short time overnight. When word got out, cars started lining up at the bank off FM 1960 and I-45, but deputies showed up and dispersed the crowd, shutting the machine down.
Now Bank of America officials say those customers fortunate enough to get the extra cash can keep the money.
The company issued the following statement:
“This was an incident at a single ATM in Houston caused when a vendor incorrectly loaded $100 bills in place of $10 bills. We have resolved the matter. Customers will be able to keep the additional money dispensed.”

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Ondo West Local Government Party Secretariat (formerly Coalition For Nigeria Movement) was invaded by some hoodlums on Saturday 2nd June 2018 with properties destroyed and members of the party attacked with cutlasses and broken bottles. The demolition was alleged to be carried out by some political thugs associated with the Labour Party of the former governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. In a view to get the true picture of the events that happened, Ataaoja reached out to some of the parties involved.

One of the leaders of the ADC while speaking with Ataaoja.com, Mr. Olu Ogunsakin noted that ADC paid the caretaker Mr Wale Akinkuotu (aka Sir Little) a one year lease of a space in the premises in January 2018 and have been using the place for their meetings since January. It came as a surprise that since May there has been pressure on the caretaker by the Labour Party to evict the ADC and a Bet9ja shop (sport betting company) in the premises to afford them the opportunity to use it for their party secretariat. The Bet9ja shop operators were successful evicted and they mobilized thugs to forceful evict the ADC party members with no protection from the caretaker, who ought to protect his tenant.


Ataaoja.com reached out to one of the Labour Party faithful a staunch supporter of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, who pleaded anonymity said the premises was the Labour Party (LP) former secretariat and the LP ceased using the place since they moved to People Democratic Party (PDP) in 2014 ( 4 years ago). It is not logical for the Labour Party to decide to use the same premises for her secretariat when it has been occupied by another political party, this act is against the rules and guidelines for the operation and conduct of political parties as provided by INEC.

Funke Akindele who shone like a million star in the award winning movie ‘Jennifer’ can be said to be more popular compare to the Ibadan born Toyin Abraham. But the same cannot be said of their acting skills. Although many Nollywood enthusiasts have argued this over and over. While many feels the graduate of Law is too stereotypic and can only do more of comic acting with her usual bastardization of the English Language, Toyin on the other end is a more dynamic actress who can interpret any role perfectly. Funke Akindele who is fondly called Jennifer by her fans has played very similar character in most of the films she has ever been casted for. This which is the direct opposite of Toyin Abraham.
Although Toyin Abraham formerly known as Toyin Aihmaku has said in several interview that the Unilag graduate is her boss and she has got so much respect for her energy . Many of Funke Akindele’s fans have tried to juxtapose the blockbuster “Jennifer” produced by Funke Akindele and “Alakada” produced by Toyin Abraham, using it as a pointer to Funke’s supremacy in screen acting. With both films having a similar plot, many will agree that Funke’s “Jennifer” has more recognition based on the artistic display she put up in the movie compare to Toyin’s Alakada.
But from random opinion of ardent Yoruba movie lover,many rooted for Toyin simple for the fact that she is so dynamic in her acting and that she puts in a high level of realism into her acting. Many had said that Funke is only banking on the fame that “Jennifer” given to her and if she had tried to make a shift away from her “Jennifer’s style”, she would have become irrelevant while in many years to come, Toyin Abraham will still be a sought-after actress in the industry.
