PoliticsThe Importance Of Power by Topccy007(op): 5:45pm On Oct 29, 2017
In my country, Nigeria, Ibo men are looking for money... And they have it...

Yoruba men are looking for education...
And they have it...

Hausa men are looking for power...
And they have it...

But the Hausa men are controlling both those with money and those with certificates...

A man in power can control a man with money and with degrees...

You can hate a man with power...
But you are still under him...

You can speak grammar more than him...
But you are still under him...

Just one decision he will make can affect your source of money...

If he gets angry and effects a policy, all your degrees might be useless in your hands...

That is why all Jesus promised His disciples was not money or scholarships...

But He said: "And ye shall receive power..."

Because He understands that there are powers...

Don't just pray for promotion in the office ..
Pray for promotion in the school of Power...

They can raise your salary, yet, a 9-year old girl with demonic powers can be controlling how you spend the salary...

Your father might have ended the way he did because of powers that fought him...

What your family is passing through might be because of inherited powers ...

Thank God for your degrees and business ideas...

But ma/sir, look for the Power of God ...

As you go to church don't ask God for money as usual ...

Cry to God for His Power...

How far could the Apostles have gone in life without the endowment of the Power from on High? ...

Can you see why Jesus told them not to move an inch without the power?...

Don't you think that what you are going through in that business or marriage is because you went in without the power of God?...

The road is far sir/ma..

You need the Power of God...

If you are reading this, God might be depending on you to change the condition of your family...

School degrees and business ideas might have failed...

Can you cry to God for His power this day? ..

Unless if you are not tired of so many negative things playing out around you...

If they told you that you have no battles after Calvary, they did not tell you the whole truth...

After being born again, the real battles began...
And it won't stop until we leave this earth...

Jesus has gone to the Cross to purchase our victory...

But with that, we must enforce our victory in the place of prayer...

If we fail in the place of prayer, we have failed everywhere...

I am in the mood to pray to God this morning ...

Can you spare some minutes or hours to call on God this day?

If He heard the Apostles, I am sure that this morning, He can also fall upon us with His power...

If you are ready.
Then, let us pray for God's power.
Have a great and good day.

CrimeA Director In Kogi with a set of triplet Killed Himself Due To Unpaid Salaries. by Topccy007(op):
A Director in the Kogi State Civil Service, Mr Edward Soje has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree in Lokoja, the state capital.

The News Agency of Nigeria gathered on Saturday in Lokoja that the dangling body of Soje was found on a tree behind the mammy market at the Maigumeri barracks, the Nigeria Army Command Record.

The 54-year-old civil servant decided to take his life barely 10 days after his wife of 17 years gave birth to a set of male triplets in a private hospital in Abuja. The couple had been childless before then.

Soje, a Grade Level 16 Officer in the Kogi State Teaching Service Commission, was being owed 11 months’ salary arrears as at the time he took his life.

He hailed from Ogori town in Ogori -Magongo Local Government area of the state.

He had before killing himself travelled to Abuja and left a suicide note for the wife who also works in one of the federal ministries.

“Psalm 121:3 God will not suffer your foot to be moved: He that keepeth you will not slumber. Amen. You and the three boys, the God Almighty will keep you and prosper you, amen. I love you,” according to the suicide note.

Confirming the incident, the state police command Public Relations Officer, ASP William Aya said that the dangling body of Soje was found on a tree behind the barracks at about 5:55 p.m on Oct. 16.

Aya said that the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Area D Division received information about the incident from the military intelligence office in the barracks.

“Police moved to the scene, removed the corpse to the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja. Investigation is still ongoing,” Aya said.

The police spokesman said that nothing was found on the man to help trace his address and family.

However, a search party organised by his relations and friends, found his corpse at the morgue of the hospital on Friday, Oct. 20.

Family sources said that Soje had before the incident been going through a lot of financial pressure due to non-payment of his salary for 11 months by the Kogi State Government.

He was among thousands of civil servants being owed between two and 21 months’ salary arrears by the state government.

As a way out, he was said to have sold his only car and a three-bedroom bungalow he was building at Otokiti area of Lokoja.

The building which was at lintel level was sold by Soje at a giveaway price of N1.5 million in April to meet urgent family needs, it was gathered.

According to the sources, Soje’s financial woes became compounded when the wife gave birth to a set of triplets through Caesarian operation in a private hospital in Abuja on Oct. 7.

The deceased remained in the hospital to look after wife and children until Oct. 13, a day before the naming ceremony when he decided to come back to Lokoja.

On getting to Lokoja, Soje went straight to his bank to collect the remaining N30,000 in his salary account with one of the commercial banks and thereafter informed the bank in writing about his decision to close the account.

He immediately left Lokoja for the hospital in Abuja where he rejoined his wife and handed over the N30,000 cash to her.

On Oct. 14, Soje and wife were joined by two pastors and few relatives to perform a brief naming ceremony for the triplets in the hospital.

He later left the hospital on the pretext that he wanted to pick few things from the wife’s apartment in Abuja with a promise to come back quickly.

But Soje did not return for hours and did not pick any of the many calls made to his telephone line, a development which forced the wife to send somebody to the house to go and ascertain what was happening to him.

The person, on getting to the apartment knocked the door severally but no response and decided to call his telephone number.

On hearing the telephone ringing out from the apartment, the person was said to have knocked severally again but no response, this made him to seek the assistance of neighbours to force the door open.

When the door was opened, the people were shocked when they saw Soje’s telephone handset placed on a suicide note on the centre table in the sitting room while he was nowhere to be found.

When the wife was informed, she quickly contacted some people to begin a search for him in Abuja while relations and friends in Lokoja were also informed of the development.

Efforts made to locate him did not yield fruit until relations decided to visit hospitals in Lokoja, the decision paid off eventually on Friday, October 20 when the corpse of Soje was found in the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja.

A member of the family said that the management of the hospital explained to them that Soje’s corpse was brought in by the police, who found it dangling on a tree.

A member of the family, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the late Soje as a “very quiet and lovable human being. “

He said that some members of the family have been sent to Abuja to break the news to the wife and refused to answer further questions.

EducationThe Autopsy Of A Pastor by Topccy007(op): 9:31am On Oct 06, 2017
In the past few days, a couple of pastors I know have gone to glory in their prime. While many may say many things from the spiritual angle only, I resist the temptation of being naive and gullible.
- One died going to drop his members after Sunday service.

- Post activities exhaustion led to fatigue and accident that took the life of one of the most handsome young vibrant zealous man of God I know in Ghana.

- A Nigerian female Pastor slumped and died in the United states and her host couldn't even try to connect the family because they can't afford the $,5000 morgue fee. They allowed the govt to set her for mass burial if not for a friend in USA that alerted us two days before and effort was made to trace her family in Lagos by my friend - after many inquiries.
Cause: Pressure and failed hope.

- Another died in his sleep after Friday night vigil.

=> The story never ends.

- Another died because none was available to help, even the members he burnt his life for and the so called ministers and spiritual sons and daughters were no where to be found.

>>Most of these people are Bishops with good standing, viable ministries and graduates from good universities.

We conducted mild medical examinations for some Pastors after one of our meetings few years ago, about 200 pastors participated. I Insisted that no minister above 40yrs of age Will leave without being evaluated by the medical team, except those in their twenties and early thirties.
The result was mind bugling,
- over 30% had a elevated bp within 180 systolic 90 diastolic.
- 15 had extreme high bp above ,200/120.
- 28% had diabetics,
- 16% had elevated PSA,
- blood cultures done, showed that:
= over 60% had different levels of bacteremia. = Psychological analysis revealed that
- over 7O% had emotional problems they could not share with anyone.
= Urine analysis and smear tests were not friendly either.
= Eye examinations shows levels of deficiency and stress induced factors.

***Most of these pastors never know they had these problems...

>They were the walking dead physically even though spiritually alive
>They are dead emotionally.
>Their vision and passion is dead.
>Their spiritual life has little life at all.
>They are burned out.
>Many have died vocationally.
>Others are waiting for burial.

Autopsies is not a pleasant topic, I get that, but I would be negligent if I did not share with you about the numbers of pastors who are dead in ministry.
You need to know.
You need to grasp this reality.
You need to pray for them.
You need to walk alongside with them.

=> HOW DID THESE PASTORS DIE?
My figurative autopsies uncovered eight common patterns.
Some pastors manifest four or five of them. Many manifest all of them.

1. They said “yes” to too many members.
In order to avoid conflict and criticism, these pastors tried to please most church members. Their path was not sustainable. Their path was unhealthy, leading to death.

2. They said “no” to their families.
For many of these pastors, their families became an afterthought or no thought at all. Many of their children are now grown and resent the church.
They have pledged never to return. Their spouses felt betrayed, as if they were no longer loved, desired, or wanted. Some of these pastors have lost their families to divorce and estrangement.

3. They got too busy to remain in the Word and in prayer. Simply stated, they got too busy for God. Read Acts 6:4 again in the context of all of Acts 6:1-7. The early church leaders saw this danger, and they took a courageous path to avoid the trap.

4. They died a slow death from the steady drip of criticisms.
Pastors are human. Yeah, I know; that’s an obvious statement. We sometimes expect them to take the ongoing criticisms from members as if they were rocks. But a steady drip can destroy even the most solid rocks.

5. They were attacked by the cartel.
Not all churches have cartels, but many do.
A church cartel is an alliance of bullies, bully-followers, carnal Christians, and even non-Christians in the church. Their goal is power. Their obstacle is the pastor.
Many pastors have died because cartels killed them.

6. They lost their vision and their passion. This cause of death is both a symptom and a cause.
Like high blood pressure is a symptom of other problems, it can also lead to death. Pastors without vision and passion are dying pastors.

7. They sought to please others before God. People-pleasing pastors can fast become dying pastors. The problem is that you can never please all the members all the time. If Pastors try, they die.

8. They had no defenders in the church. Imagine a dying person with no medical intervention. That person will die. Imagine Pastors without members who will stand by them.
Imagine Pastors where members are too cowardly to stand up to cartels. If you can imagine that, then you can imagine a dying Pastor.
By the way, this form of death is often the most painful. The Pastor is dying without anyone to help or intervene.

9 They died as a result of pressure to be like others.
Travel around the world, have a big cathedral, be announced by God, be popular and live in affluence, competing with one another or others they have know idea about their stories.
They allowed wide mouthed intimidators make them feel they are failures without telling them the true stories behind their presumed success.
They burned-out and it took a toll and caused their death.
They lost the simple rule of ministry that God gives to everyman and that - size and miracles are not indicators of good success before the Master.
The letters to the churches in revelation showed it clearly.

10 They died because they gave room to ignorance, ego, and unwillingness to take advantage of opportunities God provided to help and enlighten their life.
They succeeded in church but failed their health and spiritual health because they over- evaluated their status.

11. Some are killed by their fellow Pastors, who added nothing to them but negativism. Increased their conflicts and inflicted more injury to their wound.
Don't invite a guest from afar if you have no plans for them. You break their hope and add more frustrations to the existing ones.

You have associates, you live big while they scratch to survive with their families. What you added killed them. Because they felt used, neglected and abandoned.

=> Autopsies are not fun. Talking about dying is not fun.
But if you are a church member, or a Senior rich selfish ego exhibiting, exaggerating Pastor, you can be a part of the reasons why Pastors are dying because of your unwillingness to be sensitive and to do the right things.

PoliticsDarkness, Fuel Scarcity Loom As Labour Plans Strike For Friday by Topccy007(op): 9:20am On Sep 13, 2017
It appears the season of strikes in Nigeria is set to continue Friday as affiliates of United Labour Congress of Nigeria (ULC), including Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), are set for a nationwide strike.

Other affiliates of ULC likely to join the industrial action are National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE); National Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Employees (NUBIFIE); Nigeria Union of Mine Workers, National Association of Aviation Professionals, Steel and Engineering Workers Union of Nigeria; Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria; Nigeria Union of Railway Workers; Private Telecommunications, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, and Nigeria Union of Shop and Distributive Employees.

In a statement Tuesday in Lagos by its General Secretary, Didi Adodo, UCL noted that the Federal Government was yet to address the concern of its members following a 14-day ultimatum issued to it through its Central Working Committee (CWC) which expired Friday, September 8, 2017.

He noted that in keeping with industrial relations’ best practices, ULC had issued a final seven-day strike notice to the Federal Government to address its demands or face nationwide strike.

According to Adodo, the seven-day notice which was contained in a letter addressed to the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, would expire Friday, September 15, warning that after that, a nationwide strike will follow without further notice.

The group lamented the unsatisfactory official response it received from the Federal Government on the matter which came by way of a letter from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

ULC said mobilisation for the strike had begun nationwide, adding that state councils and affiliates were on alert to ensure that, if the Federal Government failed to meet the demands, they shall be compelled to embark on strike across the country. UCL’s demands reads, “once again, we reiterate these demands as follows: That Federal Government bans the stationing of the Army and Police in our workplaces and factory premises.

‘’This will stop employers who are now colluding with the Army and other security agencies from setting up their men in our factories for the purposes of intimidating and harassing workers in order to deny them their rights and privileges.

“The Army and the Police should immediately withdraw their men in the different workplaces where they are currently stationed.

“That the government should demand that the Federal Ministry of Labour sets up a task force immediately to carry out factory inspections as most of our factories are death traps.

“An immediate review of the privatisation of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, to save Nigerians the agony of suffering under the suffocating darkness which the GENCOs and DISCOs have foisted on the nation among other demands”.

that the company is not doing anything about it. So he decided
to walk up to his HR Manager one
morning and after exchanging

his observation.

The boss looked at him, laughed and asked him to sit down saying; 'My friend, you have not worked here for even one day. The man was suprised but the manager went on to explain:

Manager: How many days are
there in a year?

Man: 365 days and some times
366.

Manager: How many hours make

Man: 24 hours.

Manager: How long do you work in a day?

Man: 8am to 4pm i.e. 8 hours a

Manager: So, what fraction of the
day do you work in hours?

Man: (he did some arithmetic and said 8/24 hours i.e. 1/3) one-third.

Manager: That is nice, what is one-
third of 366 days?

Man: 122(1/3 * 366).

Manager: Do you come to works

Man: No sir.

Manager: How many days are

Man: 52 saturdays and 52

Manager: Thanks for that, if you remove 104 days from 122
