SIRTee15: I know your type. You're definitely a nurse or someone who works in the medical field pretending to be a doc. What you just described above is life-threatening asthma and that's a step above severe asthma. The severity of asthma exacerbation is graded as Moderate, Acute severe and life-threatening. I will give you an assignment- Go and read up on the grades as I won't dignify you with any further response. I mentioned that his SPO2 at home was 85% and not at the hospital you dumboo. Life is just not fair-I am a Canadian, I used Canada to my advantage and took my talents to the USA and japa while you're still here on naijanairaland typing nonsensee. SIRTee15: Yes we were in the ER for about 3 hours before he was seen and that was even fast by Canadian standards as my son was even seen before the kids we even met at the ER. People do wait for more than 12 hours to see doctors at the ER. In my case, the triage nurse could see that my son needed urgent attention and the nurse was very concerned and bleeped the doctors a few times that they needed to attend to my son urgently. I also told the nurse that I'm a medical doctor myself and I think that helped as well and yes he had severe acute asthma as I measured his SPO2 at home before taking him to the hospital and it was 85%, he couldn't speak in complete sentences, was having intercostal and subcostal recessions, tachypneic (RR was 60), tachycardic as well. It's not about being black or white as my son was even seen before the white kids that we met there but it's just due to the ridiculous medical system there. The average wait time to see a specialist following referral from a family doctor or for surgery for patients with all forms of cancer is between 8 months-2 years. Some patients do die before the surgery or the cancer even becomes inoperable before the surgery due to metastasis. They need doctors but they made it extremely difficult for foreign trained doctors to get jobs there. Most Nigerians who moved there are well educated but they mostly do menial jobs. Canada is a very welcoming country but the most of the best brains and talents from other countries do shittty jobs there which is sad. Next time, do your research properly before opening your mouth or before typing garbage. Typical Nigerian attitude! I don't have time for back and forth with you and you can believe whatever you like though but this happened at Alberta Children's hospital and yes I am a medical doctor at one of the best hospitals in Houston, USA for your info. 4 Likes |

MufasaLion:It's very obvious that you haven't lived in Canada before. I'm a Nigerian/Canadian and the girl is stating facts. I'm also a medical doctor, so I know how the health system is in Canada. It's terrible to say the least. I remember when my son was having severe acute asthma attack and we rushed him to the A&E in Calgary, Alberta. we waited for several hours before we could see a doctor. That can never happen in Nigeria as terrible as the country is. I later moved my talents to America but I can tell you there's still no place like Nigeria in the world. I just hope Nigeria can at least get a bit better than the current situation that the country finds itself in at the moment. 4 Likes |

you may find this harsh but I'm just being truthful with you. He'll NEVER change and he's gonna continue with the addiction until he leaves this earth. You can take him to Adeboye or Oyedepo and it still won't change a damn thing. He can see the best psychiatrist, counsellors, therapist etc in the world and it won't make any difference. No one can change him but himself! Even if he moves to any new place, a new country he'll still find where they sell the drugs and continue with his addiction. The sooner his parents understand this, the better it is for them as they are gonna be miserable for the rest of their lives and keep hoping for him to change but sadly he'll NEVER change. 3 Likes |

I still don't support taking your kids for a DNA test. As a man and woman in a relationship, you both are meant to trust each other no matter what. Taking your kids for DNA tests breaches that trust and shakes the foundation of your marriage. It's disrespectful and it hurts your wife. She has every right to be angry with you. I'm sorry but if my spouse decides to conduct a DNA test on our kids in the future, that marriage is over. Not only is it disrespectful to your wife, it could end your marriage because you're indirectly saying your wife is a prostitute. Thank you ![]() I'm a man chatting on my wife's account as I haven't got a Nairaland account. If you haven't got anything to hide, there's no reason to see it as disrespectful. I did a DNA paternity test on all my sons and I trust my wife more than I trust myself. My kids look so much like me, yet I still did it as I have heard stories of how babies are exchanged in hospitals, even in America where I live. My wife was never angry and we even joked about it when the results were out as I remember telling her I have got the results with me and she should start praying as I was about the open the envelopes and she was even scared at all as she was so confident. We saw the results and the probability of paternity for my first, second and third son were 99.99999998, 99.999999997 and 99.99999998 respectively and she just joked that there is still a 0.00000001 or 0.00000002 chance that they aren't mine. If I have any other kid, I'll still do a DNA test as its so simple and wasn't as expensive as I thought. All you need is just to take a swab from the father's buccal mucosa or cheeks and also from the child's buccal mucosa as well. I don't see how this is disrespectful as you stated. |

Osinbajo!! Oma se osi ku ni, tomo tomo. Iyawo e ma se osi ku ni. Your behaviour isn't christ like at all. It will make a lot of people run away from christianity. You're indeed a fake pastor who loves money, power, fame, wealth and things of the world more than anything and you haven't got the fear of God at all. You can never resign because you have sold your soul to the devil. To hell with you and your short, achondroplastic, useless family! |

Petyprincess: It's vice versa as I have seen our Nigerian sisters abroad with old white men with wrinkled skin and it got me wondering. Most fine young white boys don't really date black women, they date women of the same race as them or asian women. I have actually seen a lot of hot white women with black boys 10 Likes 2 Shares |
