Foreign AffairsRe: Fani-Kayode To Trump: Allow Israel Fight Its Battle, Don’t Start World War III by Topman7: 9:07am On Jun 18, 2025
Lezzlie:
This man must be having some serious perceptual disturbances and a high dose of self-deceit.

Fani-Kayode doesn't have a voice in his street let alone on global matter where Nigeria has no voice as a country.

I blame the cheap press who receives stipends and push this man's delusional behaviour to us.
Every human being on Earth has a voice.

The same God that created Femi Fani-Kayode, created Netanyahu and Trump.

The only difference between Fani-Kayode and you is that he doesn’t feel inferior to “white people”.

If he sees them being dumb, as is currently the case, leading the world to annihilation, he will Talk. He will Shout. And so should you.

Go and watch clips of what Nuclear Winter looks like.

You would beg for this war to stop today, because Nuclear Winter is no respecter of borders, and doesn’t care if you support Trump and Netanyahu or not.

Those two and their families are in nuclear bunkers by now.

Did they build any for you?

Kemet c.2000BCE

Our ancestors were scholars 4,000 years ago, inventing writing, pioneering mathematics, medicine, grand architecture including mighty pyramids and temples, shipping and navigation, iron smelting, mining of minerals, philosophy, algebra, astronomy, the sciences and the arts, when today's ''civilisers'' were running around, stark illiterate, in the remote Caucasus mountain caves of Russia.

Quite interesting! It’s beginning to seem we’ve long lost ties with the people of the Nile. Where are images of his brother and sister, Set and Aset? It may also help to ascertain the validity in your post. Thanks
Set wasn't represented as a human, usually a serpent or something. That's where the christian 'satan' myth came from.

But as far as connections between Yoruba and Kemet (Ancient Egypt), there are multiple.

Like the Egyptian god Bes, is the same as the Yoruba's 'Child of Obatala':

Osiris, the great God of Egypt, looks like a man from Edo state.

Osiris: Africa’s Divine Blueprint for Resurrection and Kingship

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/61/d5/2e/61d52e8016812aed79769a4cd0702d49.jpg

Osiris (Ausar) stands at the heart of African spirituality as one of the most revered deities of ancient Kemet (Egypt). Far from the Europeanized myths we often hear, Osiris represents the ancient African principles of rebirth, moral justice, and divine rulership. He was the first resurrected king, the symbol of Black eternal life, and the sacred prototype for later concepts of messianic saviors.

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/47/aa/4e/47aa4e3fbdae0b9e7fb6cdb01998cf6a.jpg

Before being deified, Osiris was believed to be a great Black king who brought agriculture, spiritual order, and civilization to the Nile Valley. His murder by his jealous brother Set, and his resurrection by his wife-sister Isis (Aset), became the cosmic story of life, death, and rebirth that influenced traditions across Africa and eventually the world.

His legacy lives on not only in Kemet but also in West African Orisha systems and the spiritual philosophies of the African diaspora. Osiris is not just a myth—he is our encoded memory of a time when African gods were kings, and kings were gods.

Excuse maker for colonialist robbers.

''Everybody was doing'' what to whom? You call paying taxes or tributes to an empire exploitation?

What then do you call the wholesale theft of your natural resources at gunpoint by colonialists?

Do you know they disrupted our internal economies by redirecting production away from serving internal markets, to serve Europe instead, eg via cash crops?

Do you know that that alone cost Africa hundreds of trillions of dollars in lost wealth?

You have no clue the extent of what they did.

But ever happy to play Gatekeeper on their behalf.

AI ChatGPT calculations put the West's debt to Africa at 5,000 Trillion dollars.

Britain's debt to Nigeria - 50 Trillion dollars.

Based on centuries of slavery, colonisation, and theft of natural resources, with attendant losses to the African economy.

AI has no provision for ''everybody did it'' as dreamt in your head..

It goes by pure calculations you don't even know exist.

Short answer: No.

If they want to help Nigeria or Africa, they should return the $5,000 trillion they owe to Africa, based on centuries of exploitation.

This figure was reached by AI ChatGPT.

Britain owes Nigeria $50 trillion, according to AI.

Amounting to $379,000 for every single Nigerian including babies.

You people allow yourselves to be insulted by these thieves.

Calling them to oversee your elections.

Stop equating light skin with beauty.

That is your colonial programming.

Before the colonial invasion by those thieves, we actually saw light skin as leprous and even devilish.

Most certainly not a symbol of ‘beauty’.

shortgun:
We also have similar practices in different cultures across Nigeria; it's just that Christianity has eroded their significance over time.
Nkugho is practiced by the Efik people and a similar tradition sometimes called "Mbopo" exists among the Ibibio.
Generally, these rites involve the seclusion, feeding and training of young women in preparation for marriage.

In Igbo culture, there is a similar practice called "Iru Mgbede" or "Mgbede" it's a period during which a girl is prepared, beautified and educated about marriage.
There's also "Erhe r' ivie" practiced by the Urhobo people, where a girl is groomed and taught everything she needs to know about family life.
The North has "Kulle" or "Kunne"
You are indeed a cultural encyclopaedia.

Many thanks for sharing this.

I am not disputing your point but go through the comments from page 1 to where we are now, how your fellow Yoruba responders commented, is that how to have a national political discussion?

Why must you guys make everything about tribe and region all the time? Are you guys not tired of these your tribalism and regional bullshyyyts?

I am not against comparing candidate's past performance but you know deep down your heart that that's not where your people are driving to. That was how they turned 2023 Presidential election to a tribal war, even when Igbos haven't had a major contender in decades and were even supposed to be the ones crying wolf because if Nigeria were to be a fair nation, there was nothing wrong in microzoning the 2023 Presidency to Southeast as a sacrifice to unite Nigeria for once.

Make it make sense.

And to your claim that Obi failed, it's all lies because one, I doubt you lived in Anambra then not have you lived in Anambra for years to access his true performance and reason I kept telling you guys that comparing his performance with a Lagos state Governor's performance at that time is a huge mistake.

Anambra didn't have much revenue to embark on gigantic or giant projects like in Lagos.

The pressing issues in Anambra when Obi governed were high level insecurity, political godfatherism, dilapidated educational system and he tackled these things head on.

He returned secondary schools back to church missions for effective management and assisted them with funding.

He ended the high level insecurity in Anambra, it was so bad that Onitsha, upper Iweka, Obosi, etc were no go areas, he ended it.

He built the main campus of Anambra state university at Uli.

He reconstructed so many secondary schools he later handed over to church missions to manage and they are far better today.

He attracted a lot of industries including Intl Breweries where he invested Anambra state money as part of the tactics to attract the company to Anambra to invest

Orient Petroleum and so many others I can't remember off hand now.

Listen, if you lived in Anambra before Obi became Governor and after Obi governed Anambra, you will understand that Obi really tried based on the available resources in the state at that time.

I am not supporting Peter Obi because of tribe cos God in heaven knows I wouldn't have supported Rochas or Orji Uzo Kalu or Ikpeazu or Nnamani or Ohakim or Ekweremadu.

Peter Obi is not the first Igbo man to contest for President. You guys ought to know that for most ordinary Igbos to be supporting Obi while the elects are rejecting him, it means Peter Obi is good but tribalism and hatred won't let you guys from the other side understand this truth
So to you, “handing secondary schools back to missionaries” is a sign of progress?

Why not also hand your state government back to British colonial officials?

Lost people.
