Divineherbsx: If i am not mistaking i thought dangote did all these not too long ago. This is beyond that. Dangote just cleaned up the main bowl and fixed the grass to make it manageable. This upgrade is about bringing the entire stadium to world class standard, with digital advertising boards, world class pitch, VAR setup, upgraded training facilities, velodrome upgrade, 200 room hostel upgrades, etc etc. A full-spectrum upgrade to bring the stadium in line with global best practices. These are the sort of things the FG couldn't bring out money for when we were spending over a third of our income on fuel subsidies. NOW there is money to spend on building the country. Expect more of such upgrades and projects across the nation in the months and years ahead. |

When Tayo Aina was building his YouTube channel, he never complained about Nigeria. WeddingParol: No matter how bad the situation is, Nigeria is still at the middle. Lots of places are worse than Nigeria while some better than Nigeria.
Irrespective of what the situation is in your father's house, never be like the South-Easterns who discribe their father's house with the left hand... DON'T MIND LOW IQ NIGERIANS. In South Africa, 500,000 women are raped every year. It's the rape capital of the world. Johannesburg is the crime and carjacking capital of Africa, if not the world. Yet I have not for ONE DAY seen a single South African go online to say ''Don't go to South Africa o! They will rape you there o! It's the world rape capital o!'' ''Don't go to Johannesburg o! They will carjack you there o!''NEVER. Instead they debate their issues among themselves within their country, while presenting their best face to the world. Many Nigerians are just stupid. No sense. And then because you've presented your country as the worst place on earth, the rest of the world, including those from countries far worse off than yours, will stereotype and look down on YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN. Stupid things. |

Singapore’s TSC Global and Nigeria’s Del-York Group Seal $4.5 Billion Deal to Build Lagos Film CityIn a landmark moment for Africa’s creative and tech industries, Singapore’s TSC Global and Nigeria’s Del-York Group have signed a $4.5 billion joint venture agreement, marking the largest investment in Africa’s creative sector to date. The signing ceremony, held in Singapore and attended virtually by Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu, heralds the development of Lagos Film City (Kebulania), a project poised to position Lagos as a global hub for film, media, and technology.

“Lagos Film City (Kebulania) represents Lagos State’s vision for creative excellence and technological innovation,” remarked Sanwo-Olu. “This investment will transform our creative landscape while creating groundbreaking opportunities for our talented youth. This development demonstrates our commitment to positioning Lagos as Africa’s premier creative capital.”
He credited Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and the state’s Creative Industry Policy for facilitating this transformative partnership.
Under the new partnership, TSC Global will bring its expertise in sustainable, high-performance technical infrastructure, an area where the company is known globally. Linus Idahosa, CEO of Del-York Group, serves as the lead developer of the project and is dedicated to building ecosystems that fuel Africa’s creative industry. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Lagos State Government in 2022, and a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Epe site last year. Architectural work will begin in early 2025, followed by construction in the second quarter.
“Today marks Africa’s emphatic entry into global creative and technological leadership,” said Idahosa at the signing ceremony. “Kebulania stands as a testament to what is possible when visionary leadership at both national and state levels creates an enabling environment for transformative investments. With the unwavering support of the Lagos State Government, alongside our partners, we are building more than an infrastructure – we are creating a legacy that will empower generations of African creators and innovators.”
Michael Dickerson, CEO of TSC Global, highlighted the strategic significance: ‘Our $4.5 billion Joint Venture bridges Africa and the world, creating unparalleled opportunities for creative and technological collaboration between continents. Together with the Del-York Group, we are creating a new model for creative industry development that will resonate globally.”
The Kebulania project is expected to generate over 10,000 direct jobs and 25,000 indirect employment opportunities, contributing more than $3.5 billion annually to Nigeria’s creative economy. It will also offer 50,000 training positions and boost foreign exchange earnings through international film and media productions. https://businessday.ng/brands-advertising/article/singapores-tsc-global-and-nigerias-del-york-group-seal-4-5-billion-deal-to-build-lagos-film-city/

Some of the comments here are so annoying. Someone even said it should be 200 Naira. Do you know the number of border agents and soldiers we would need to contain the smuggling? Next door in Republic of Benin, fuel is N1500. Ghana and all these other countries similar price. You now sell it for N200 in Nigeria and you say your head is correct. |

If this person knew Lagos back then he/she will know that what is dead is more than what they are showcasing. They are only using blue background and lighting everywhere Liar. Lagos is still evolving. From Bolelaja to Molue to mini Yellow busses to BRT and now red and blue railway lines. There is a better hope ahead for Lagos. States should learn to partner to develop their states. Don't mind him.

WHAT IS GOING ON?I mean, .....really. WHAT'S GOING ON? Every day people are trooping into Nigeria to tell us how impressed they are with the direction we are headed, since Tinubu came to power. And not ordinary people o. Major world leaders. Indian Prime Minister, German President, French President, etc. Just yesterday the recently elected Ghana president, who hasn't even been sworn-in yet, has already flown to Abuja to greet Tinubu. Now the Japanese have stormed Dangote refinery to sing its praises. What's going on?And then Nigeria is winning all sorts of awards internationally from Miss Universe to Mr International Man or whatever they call it, to African Footballer of the Year to African Female Goalkeeper of the Year. ALL SORTS OF AWARDS. Even Grammy. All these things are good omens. I think we had better give this administration time to complete its work, instead of constantly insulting the president. |
