I think that US Government is right. They did what every responsible government would have done in this situation. Nigeria is a very delicate and fragile nation. 

Let's be honest to ourselves.  Nigeria as a country is not working.  A group from One section of the country are killing innocent people at church, Mosque, market place , restaurants, bars and on the road.  The whole world is watching helplessly.

Since Obasanjo took over office in 2009 till date more people have died in Nigeria than any other place in the world ( I mean sectarian violence) yet we will not admit that we are at war?
What is the definition of war? According to Wikipedia "War is an organized, armed, and often a prolonged conflict that is carried on between states, nations, or other parties typified by extreme aggression, social disruption, and usually high mortality."

Most of us Nigerian Americans and other Nigerians in the diaspora see it the same way, American government is seeing it.

To be candid, America and the rest of the world are not happy the way innocent people are dying in Nigeria for no good reason.  Over here human lives are valued.  Nigerian Government; present and past does nothing to protect her citizens at time like this.

Check your statistics very well, those who kill others in USA are fished out, tried, if found guilty are either sentenced for life or hanged depending on the state where the crime is being committed. 
In Nigeria,  those who commit murder and homicide, work around freely or even compensated or bribed to stop killing people.  Endemic and wide scale corruption, tribalism, greed, favoritism are some of the factors affecting Nigeria's stability.

We have shed enough blood in the name of one Nigeria.  How many more people will die before we realize that Nigeria is a failed state?

It's is unfortunate what Nigeria our beloved country has turned into.  I learnt that even in Abuja, the seat of power, people are scared to go to church, mosque, bars, parks, market etc,

Nigeria needs God' intervention. God bless Nigeria and her citizens where ever they are.
