1 Pet 4:10 'As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of manifold grace of God.'

Whatever gift we have, God has given it to us for free, not because we qualify for it in anyway, neither are we better than those who do not have it. All gifts are given to mankind for a purpose and reasons. It is however contradictory to the plan and purpose of God if you use your gift in a way that makes other feel bad or not comfortable, or you charged people heavily for the ministrations of your gift.

Whatever gift you have received from God, minister with it for free. It will be unfair to ask people to buy one expensive oil before you pray for them, it will be unfair for you to charge a church before you play an instrument for them in the house of God. Minister to one another through your gift in love and in the fear of God.

Good morning. Happy new month, and happy independence day!

1pet 5: 5 'Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elders. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.'

Last week we started treating the responsibility of christian to one another in the christian body, we are still going to continue discussing these points.

This morning, our text talks about humility. Many of us mistake humility for talking gentle and showing off of some insincere gesture. Humility is a thing of the heart that reflects in your actions and attitude. It means when you are showing humility in any situation, it must be genuine, God must be able to testify to your humility too.

Humility to authorities who has power over us is not really the best type of humility I will like to emphasis. Humility towards people that does not really have power over us, humility towards agents of God, your fellow neighbour, people that works under you at your work place and to your parent and siblings are examples of the type of humility expected from us.

Be humble from your heart to everyone today, even to people who do not deserve it.
Good morning. How was your weekend.

Rom 15:14 'And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another'

One of our responsibility as a christian is to admonish our fellow christian in faith. Paul on several occasions wrote to every church that was established through his ministry, encouraging them and sharing the core vision of the Gospel to them. All these admonition was done so as to ensure that the believers do not loose focus on the most important thing, which is their salvation.

However, to be in the position to admonish someone, you have to be in a higher position of knowledge and understand. The bible says '...let the word of God dwell in you richly... If you do not have abundant word of God in you, I wonder how you are going to admonish anyone with what you do not have and have not experienced.

Equip yourself and understand the mystery of the Lord more today, so that you can be in a position to admonish other people today.

Gal 5:13 'For , brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another'

Rendering quality service is not only peculiar to the business world, but it is also necessary to perform quality service to one another. Many a christian have tied whatever service they can render to their fellow christian to the amount of benefit they can gain from it. The best service you can render is firstly to God, and then to people that does not even have power to pay you back.

Serve one another in the fear of God, not because of a motivating factors. May the Lord reward all your service real good.

Good morning. Have a nice day.

Rom 14:19 'Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.'

We are still considering christian responsibilities to one another. Following peace with one another is not only and advice, its a command, in that case, it will be unchristian for anyone to initiate anything that will cause enmity, strive, war and hatred. Ensuring peace is our collective responsibilities.

We have to as well edify one another in the things of the Lord. You have to live your life in a way that will naturally encourage and edify people around you. You have to know that if you bring down a christian by your actions or behaviors or you discourage an individual from getting save, the bible said, its better that the person is not even born, because his later life will be worse.

Follow peace with everyone today and live and encouraging life.
Good morning. Have a pleasant day ahead.

John 13:34 'A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another, as I love you, that ye also love one another.

This week, we are going to be looking at the responsibility on individual christian to one another. After we have been saved, there are standards of life we must abide by before we can have a successful christian life.

The first of those standard to be considered today is 'LOVE'. I personally believed that love has lost its real meaning to a lot of us, and we have abused the word many time in the place of lost. Until we are able to understand the mystery behind the Love of God, that He gave us His only begotten Son, we will never be able to appreciate the power of love. In our text this morning, the bible is asking you to use God's love towards you as a yard stick to measure your own love to people around you, not just to that cute sister in your church or around your house, or to that brother who has a fat pocket, but to everyone!

On the scale of God's love to you this morning, what's your own score as regards your love to people around you? Show love to people today and enjoy God's love all the days of your life.

Good morning. How was your weekend. Hope you had fun?

2 chron 24: 24-25 'For the army of the syrian came with small company of men and the Lord delivered a great host into their hands because they had forsaken the Lord God of their fathers, so they executed judgment against Joash. And when they were departed from him (for they left him in a great disease) his own servant conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and slew him on his bed and he died:

For some days now, we have been considering the sad ending of the young and vibrant king Joash that started on a great note with God. Today, we read from our text, how God delivered the great army of Israel to a very small army of syria. If God is against someone, small circumstance, some powerless individuals and demons will torment and defeat that person. And don't forget that God never forgets a sin that has never been forgiven, when Joash killed Zachariah he must have thought that God has forgotten about it, but God has to take his life for that in a later time.

Confess all your sins today, never believe God will just overlook them like that without you confessing it, He may visit it at the time you list expected, and the wrath of God is what you really don't want to incur in your life.
Good morning. Happy weekend in advance.

2chron 24:21 'And they conspire against him, and stone him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the Lord.'

Yesterday we read about how Zachariah confronted king Joash and children of Israel on their new found love for sin. Its amazing how king Joash that was on fire for God just some months ago could be ordering a prophet of God to be killed. Its amazing how things could fastly go bad on the other side of being with God. Satan takes over quickly and set you against God, so that God's wrath can come over that individual.

Never be too confident of your spiritual strength, never let God your connection to God, because you that is vibrant today, could be something else tomorrow is you let go of ur connection. Stay close to God by all means at all time.

The truth is, no one can be successful on his or her own without God. King Joash and children of Israelite detached themselves away from God and they were hoping to enjoying all the promises of God, even for the fact that God kept quite to all their atrocities but nemesis soon caught up With them and it consumed them.

You may seems to be enjoying everything now even when you don't have a viable connection to God, but I can surely tell you, its just for a while, it will never last. You will still suddenly needs God's help. All the wealth and glory that king Joash has acquired vanished just in one day!

Any life you live outside God is a total waste. Don't wait until that terrible day. Dedicate your life to God now and have a fulfilling life.

2 Chron 24:20 'And the spirit of God came upon Zachariah the son of Jehoida the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, thus saith God, why transgress ye the commandments of the Lord, that ye. Cannot prosper? Because ye have forsaken the Lord, He hath also forsaken you'.

Doing the will of God is directly linked to prosperity. The king and his subjects that were having things easy before, suddenly began to experience failure and hardship, simply because they stop dedicating their life to God, they got carried away with all the blessing and provisions that God has made for them.

Maybe its time you also examine your personal life, what have you done with the grace of God over your life? How are you serving God now compare to how you were serving him in the past? Do you wonder why things are kind of not falling in place or God seems not to answer your prayers anymore? Please do check your spiritual connection with God, and make sure things are right between you and God.

2chron 24:19 ' Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again unto the Lord; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear.'

Now that king Joash and children of Israel have started going against the plan of God for their life and they now paying homage to idols, God did not just turn away His eyes from them, He made effort to save them, He sent prophets to them, to remind them of their first love for God and the plans of God for their life. But the bible says, they never listened to the messages of the prophets, instead, they witness against them.

God is sending prophets to us also right now in this our sinful world. We hear their message everyday on radio, television, social media and in churches, yet most of us never listen, we criticize the messenger and forget about the message. This is call out to us this morning, that we should hear the word of God through the prophets and turn to God for salvation. He alone can save, we have to keep trusting and serving Him with the whole of our heart.

Good morning. Hope you had a great weekend.

2chron 24:15-16 'But Jehoida waxed old, and was full of days when he died; an hundred and thirty years old was he when he died. And they buried him in the city of david among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, both towards God, and toward his house.'

Jehoida was the priest that was serving the house of Israel during the reign of the young king joash. His good counsel was very valuable to the administration of king joash, he was faithful to God, to the king and to his house hold. Not only God has this record with him, children of israel are also aware of his faithfulness, no wonder they buried him among kings even as he was never a king.

We can all see the result of faithfulness here, even to a very small king of 7 years of age, and his faithfulness to his own house hold was also recorded by God. When you are faithful in every facet of life, people may not say it, they may not show appreciation, but know that God is planning a glorious thing for you. Just keep being faithful no matter what situation you find yourself.

Giving to God is nothing without giving willingly and joyfully. After king Joash decided to renew the temple of the Lord, he called for donations from the people which they gladly did, they rejoiced while doing this and they gave more than enough.

There are always need for us to make one donation or the other, pay tithes and offerings in the church, but it all mean nothing if we don't do it joyfully and willingly. Let's learn how to give God our best, both financially and materially.

2 Chron 24:1-2 'Joash was seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in jerusalem. His mother's name also was Zibah of Beer-sheba. And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the Lord...'

Seven years old boy in our present world is regarded as a real minor, but the greatest responsibility of the land as at that time was given to Joash as a king. Against all expectation, he served God, he pleased God. All his predecessor failed God in one capacity or the other, but he excel.
You will agree with me that his decision to serve God faithfully couldn't have started when he became a king, he must have made that decision earlier in his life.
Age does not have anything to do with personal decision to serve God faithfully, salvation is personal, and it is highly needed for everyone including our little kids.

2 Chron 24:4 'And it came to pass after this, that Joash was minded to repair the house of the Lord.'

Yesterday we saw the decision of the young king Joash to please God. This morning we read from our text that, apart from dedicating his life to serve God he also made available his material things for the house of God. The work of God ranked high in his mind and he was ready to put everything aside just to ensure that the work of God is done properly.

Usually, we put the work of God in a second position after our own work, that explain why most churches are in shambles and the members are living in mansions. It explains why people will go extra mile to get new naira note to spray at a party and come to church with the most dirty and smallest change they have in their custody. God's work is not by force, but if you must do it, you have to do it well indeed and with open and joyful heart.

Realizing our mistakes is one thing, taking a decision to correct our way and do the right thing is another. God has revealed to israelite their shot comings, they murmur and complained, they were pessimistic even when God has given them His word. But finally they did the right thing, they acknowledge their sins, and make a decision to make a move and possess the possession God promised them.

Your decision to stop complaining and to make effort to possess the possession that the Lord has promised you does not only have direct effect on you alone, but also on your generation. We read from our text this morning how the positive attitude of caleb and joshua, not only save them, but also cause Israel to inherit the promise land. Imagine both of them came back with the same bad attitude just like others, Israel would have lost the promised land for ever, just as a result of murmuring instead of them to put faith in God and proceed to the promised land.

This verse is talking about the Isaerlite, instead of them to move forward and make effort to possess the land that God has promised them, they kept complaining and murmur. This attitude didn't just go without consequences, it was greatly frowned on by God.

And this is what a lot of us are still doing today, we complain, we murmur on every chance we have. We forget about what God has done for us and where he is taking us to. Know for sure that God can hear you when you murmur and it won't also go without implication. Do not miss your promised land simply because of complaining and murmur.

Deut 1:6 'The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount'.

God does not plan for us to be stagnant at a point. He wants us to progress in life and achieve our purpose. Stagnancy is one thing that is very common with we christian these days. We struggle hard to progress physically both academically and career wise, but spiritually? We just lock off and remain on the same spot.

Eph 6:19-20 'And for me, pray that utterance may be giving unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make know the mystery of the Gospel...'

Even as we have successively taken a look at the whole armour of God, their usefulness and their importance, this morning we are still going to continue in that book of Ephs 6.
Paul was telling the people of Ephesus to keep praying for him, so that God can continually grant him utterance. Messages from spiritual leaders and every christian should not be what was cooked up by human knowledge, it should be given from above. Just as we observed that all prayer must be said in the spirit yesterday, so also, every message must be granted from above, that is only when the message can have LIFE, and can make a good and lasting impact in our life.

If you are in a position to preach, pray to God for divine utterance, if you are attending any church or fellowship where you think there is no life in the message, quit that gathering now, and associate with a source of Life in another fellowship. Pray for every spiritual leader that the Lord has been granting utterance, pray that the Lord will fill them the more and strengthen them.

Eph 6:18 'Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints'.

Our text today is indicating prayer as one of our most important armour. But if you observe the verse well, it specified that all prayer and supplication must be in the spirit, this does not mean that you must speak in tongues always when you need to pray, but it simply means that there must be a connection between you and holy spirit which will actually direct you on how to pray. By implication, it simply means that any prayer offered by us with a canal intention, or when we don't have an already, current connection with the spirit may not be answered.

The last part of this verse made us understand that we only not need to ourselves, but praying for all saint is also compulsory for us. We need to remember people in prayers always.

Sword perform double functions, it can be use in defense purposes as well as attack purposes. Unlike other armours that are meant to protect us at one point or the other, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God is also our weapon to fight and overcome the enemy.

Imagine, if you have a sword and you don't even know what it can do, or its functions, or the sword is so blunt that it can't even hurt the air, simply because you have not been updating your arsenal by meditating on your bible. To say that christian race is always very smooth may not be totally correct, there are ups and down, there are challenges, there are trials, there are temptations, and there are spiritual attacks. And all these won't stop as long as u are a christian, they keep coming to test your resolve in Christ.

Our faith in Christ is what can sustain us through all these difficulty. Faith in our salvation, faith in the second coming of Christ, faith in His sufficiency and faith in His ability to totally protect us. Without faith, we will however be tossed to and fro without having bearing.

To be a successful christian, you have to develop your faith to the extent at which Job said, 'eventhough He slayet me, I will keep trusting in Him'. To me I think this is an absolute faith in God. Until we reach this level of faith, our christianity will still be in question.

Yesterday we saw that the essence of arming ourselves with the whole armour of God is to STAND over sin, satan, principality and powers, and to stand in victory before christ. Today's text is also laying emphasis on the the need for us to STAND!
The first arm we need to lunch of into the realm of victory in Christ is the Truth. The bible says, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. A true christian should sail in the ocean of truth. The truth which is Jesus christ. This is the first step to having a victorious life. Eph 6:13 'wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand'.

We started introducing the need for God's armour yesterday. But our text today emphasized two things: 'WHOLE' and STAND. The armour of God has components which we shall study in the course of this week devotion. Notice the important reason why we need the whole armour, first is, so that we can be able to withstand in the evil day. This definitely means, evil day will surely come to every believer, inasmuch as we still leave in this world, the bible made us understand that days are full of evil. The whole armour of God is what we can use to withstand any form of evil that may come to us.

The overall importance of this 'whole armour' is not only to defend(withstand), but also to STAND in victory over sin and over satan and his cohort. Check your life today, if your are not gallantly standing, it means one or more of your God's armour component is missing.

Make amend now, before its too late, and always note that the armour must be WHOLE or you won't be protected at all.

This week we are going to be talking about 'The whole armour of God'
But we have to understand the reasons why we need to put on the whole armour of God. In our text this morning the bible made us to understand what we as christians are up against. Different wicked powers in different realm are going to attempt to subdue us and take us away from christ and make us a slave to satan. Like the bible says, these powers are not physical, they are not what our strength and intelligence can handle. The only effective weapon we can use against them is the whole armour of God.

If any christian does not have this armour of God or a component of it, am sure you and I knows the implication of been exposed to spiritual wickedness and other powers.

Respect to parent is not only an obligation, its a means to divine blessing to us. Apart from showing them their deserved respect, the best honour we can give to our parent is to surpass their expectation of us, and make them proud. Bringing glory to them through our achievements and successes, they should be able to raise their shoulders high in the society as regard to our successes.

Apart from this above stated fact, financially also we have responsibility to take care of their financial needs, even when they don't ask. We have to honour them with our substances, we have to take care of them and make them happy. When we do all these, the blessing is crystal clear, and it shall not elude us in Jesus name.

Good morning. Have a blessed day ahead
