This morning we will be considering the second 'ship' that a christian leader must be careful of.
FELLOWSHIP: what differentiate christian fellowships from ordinary gathering is the collective anoiting, therefore any gathering that you can't feel the spirit of the Lord in, please take a walk!
Our life is to a large extent shaped by the kind of church we attend, but if I must shock you this morning, its not every church that is good for your soul. This days what drives people to churches is not how much they can be spiritually blessed, but the quality of the musical instruments and the set of qoir they have. Any fellowship that does not keep driving your heart to heaven everyday is not what you should associate whit.
If you are in any occultic group as of today, that is what will run your life, and you have to run away from that kind of group before they directly lead you to hell fire!
Re assess your fellowship today! And be a well baked leader!
Good morning! Have a nice day ahead.

The third 'ship' that a christian leader must be very careful of is: RELATIONSHIP!
You are as good as your relationship. Relationships, be it courtship or marriage speak volume about our personality. Can two work together except they agree? How then can a Godly lady go and enter into a relationship with a man that is not Godly? How then will you marry someone whoose religious believe is opposite yours? The easiest way to be vibrant for God and yet go to hell fire is through ungodly relationship.
Anyone your are in relationship with that does not support and encourage your genuine spirituality is not a right person for you. Anyone that doesn't see prayer and attending church services regularly as anything necessary is not the person for your future.
Maybe you entered into the relationship hoping to be able to change the person later to your own way, that may be very wrong thing to do, no one has the power to change anyone except God. Don't enter into an ungodly relationship as from now! And if you have found yourself in one, pray that God will help you make a restitution and do the right thing.
Good morning. Enjoy your weekend.

For the past two weeks now, God has been helping us to study leadership, what leadership entails and what we need to do to have a successful leadership experience.
This morning we will be considering 1 Tim 4:16: 'Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Obeying instructions of your own leader is directly proportional to how people will follow your own instruction. A leader who is not submissive to any higher authority will soon go astray!
If you fail to yield to instruction, you will never be able to give one. Obey your, parents, spiritual leaders today and lay a good foundation for your own leadership.
Above all obey God with all the power you have, your life depends on it.
Good morning. Happy new week.

1Tim 5:21 'I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality'
Partiality is a very rampart thing in our society today, its amazing that it is been noticed also in the church. Paul is sincerely warning timothy here, for him to make sure EVERYTHING is done according to merit and not by preference. Many leader see partiality as nothing special again, but as a godly leader, allow fear of God in your heart, whenever you are dealing with people, know that God is looking at you. Deal with everyone accordingly.
May God help you as you will allow fear of God to direct your sense of judgment.
Good morning. Have a nice day ahead

We have been talking for a while on what to do to become effective leader. From today to saturday, we shall be talking about the rewards and benefit of those who served effectively as a christian leader.
Isaiah 65:21-23 'And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit in them...'
This is a promise of fruitfulness and covenant of security. This simply put, means God will bless the works of their hands, the little effort they put into things will yield great result for them. And also, they shall never labour in vain.
While you are serving God and other people selflesly, God is also protecting your all round interest. What greater thing can someone hope for more than this?
If you are already a leader in one capacity or the other, keep doing it faithfully. If you have not started, start now, and expect God to reward you bountifuly.
Good morning. Have a nice day ahead!

Isaiah 65: 24 ' And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.'
What a great privilege is given to a true leader that served effectively! They'll have direct access to the throne of grace! Before they finish asking God in prayer, God will answer them. That is what serving as a leader can do for you. It makes you an effective christian, it builds your communication with heaven. It makes you a success both in heaven and on earth.
I don't know about you, but has for me, am ready to always take my place of leadership in the spiritual realm! The advantages are too numerous to miss for anything in this world. I suggest you do same too.
Good morning. Have a wonderful day ahead.

1Tim 5:17 ' Let elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.'
Paul was talking about spiritual leadership here, which means in addition to the blessing that God has promised to a faithful leader. There is also a place of double honour for them here on earth.
But, all these promises are for faithful leaders who are not afraid of spiritual responsibilities, if you are not faithful to the responsibility that God has given you, you can not be entitled to all these honour and blessings.
Start taking up your responsibility now and enjoy all the blessings.
Good morning. Have a nice day ahead.

Good morning. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
For about 3weeks now we have discussed extensively on 'leadership'. We were made to understand that its not the title that qualify us as a leader, its the responsibility that we shoulder and how effective we have been on it.
We also discussed things we have to be careful of, which are -friendship, relationship, and fellowship.
We also examined the benefit associated with been a faithful leader.
The essence of all these devotion is to make us a better person, therefore, it is important to put all these into consideration and to live by them.
Live by faith always, and be mindful of your salvation.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Colossian 3:9 'Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.
Lies generally has been the most common sin easy to commit, and this days, a lot of us do not even see lie as a big issue. We have learn to classify lies as white, red and black lies.
Remember we have spirit of truth in us, the truth should always make us speak truth, all lies no matter how small we think they are, are all sins, and they will never go unpunished.
Make conscious effort today to say truth always. And live by the spirit of truth in your endeavor.
May God bless you real good.
Good morning. Have a wonderful week ahead.

Colossian 3:12 'put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering'
As a child of God, there are some certain things that are expected to be part of our life. Being child of God should not just be a mouth saying things, it should be practical.
Part of these characteristics that are expected of us have been mentioned in our text above, mercy, kindness, longsuffering etc should be a natural default setting of a real christian.
If you don't have any of these attribute, or people around you can not testiify to it in your life, I advice you this morning to God in prayer.
Good morning, have a nice day ahead.

Colossians 3: 13 'Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so do ye.'
Any christian that appreciate the importance of the reconciliation work Christ came to do for us will also appreciate the need for forgiving others.

Human beings in nature are configured to offend! We offend God, we offend ourselves, that's what we do best. Its only those that have been transformed into a new being that have a different refine nature.

Our most important responsibility as a refined person therefore is to tolerate others, and forgive them when they offend us. If any christian find it difficult to this, it means the person is unrefined yet.
Forgive people today and tolerate their excesses.
It shall be well with you.
Good morning. Have a wonderful day ahead.
Re: Voice Of Righteousness Daily Devotion by toshine1(m): 7:17am On Aug 01, 2013
Colossians 3:14 'And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness'

Charity here means love. Love has really been diluted to the extent that its so hard to know its true meaning any longer. What many people take as love today, is nothing but infatuation.

Love has also be sectionised, love between siblings is different from love between husband and wife etc. The truth is, God is Love! You can't love anyone if you do not have authour of love in your life, and your life can never tend towards perfection if you don't have love.

Look beyond the so called love and infatuation today and experience the undiluted, real and true love from God.

It is well with you.
Good morning and have a wonderful day ahead.
Happy new month.

Colossian 3:15, 'And let the peace of God rule in your heart, to the also ye are called in one body. And be ye thankful.'

Peace of God is quiet different from the earthly peace. While earthly peace may be as a result of an understandable reason and last for a while, the peace of God passeth all human understanding(according to the book of phillipian) and last forever.

Allowing the peace of God to rule our heart simply means we are operating at the realm that human knowledge can not comprehend. And it simple means, that all this earthly trouble will not take away the peace of God that is ruling our heart. But one important thing is worthy of note here. If you don't have God in your heart, the peace of God can not rule your heart.

Open your heart today for the author of peace to come into your life.
The last part of our text says, '...be ye thankful.' Yes, let us learn how to give quality and real thanks to the Lord at all time, even when we don't feel like we have a reason to thank Him.

May the peace of the Lord be with you throughout today and beyond in Jesus name!
Re: Voice Of Righteousness Daily Devotion by toshine1(m): 12:53pm On Aug 03, 2013
We are going to end this week's devotion with a verse that I really love. Colossian 3:16 'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.'

Am sure this verse is very explanatory. The word of God can only dwell in you richly when you dedicate a very rich time to meditating on it. Ask yourself this question: is it only sunday I read my bible? A lot of us do not have a plan to meditate on the word of God daily. Word of God is a food to us, if you don't read it, you CAN'T have a spiritual life!

The type of song we sing also matter. A lot of christians today have all kind of worldy song on their phones. The truth is, you are what you listen to! The bible emphasis 'spiritual song'. It means if you are filing your heart with all these meaningless song that are being played everywhere, you can't be spiritual. Sing hymn, be full of grace!

Don't just keep reading all these messages without making necessary amendment where need be.

Good afternoon. Have a nice weekend.

Eccl 9:10 'whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it whit thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave where thou goest'

A lot of us have missed great opportunities and a better status as a result of assuming that where we were or what we were doing at a point in our past was wrong for us, and that we will be expecting what suit us better. It may be your course of study, or place of work or choice of partner.

Our text is telling us that 'WHATSOEVER'... It means its all the time that we will have what we want, simply because our ways most of the times are different from Gods way, because we don't seek His opinion before we take decisions. Where ever we found ourselves or whatsoever we found doing, we must be determined to be successful at it. We must give the whole of our heart to it, and make sure we are not a failure at it, giving excuses.

Remember, we will not be judge based on what we supposed to have, but based on what we have, and what we do with it. Change your mind set today, make your relationship a success, make success in your course of study and your place of work.

May the God of success be with you today and beyond.

Prov 22:29 'Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.'

The difference between a celebrated person and uncelebrated person may not really be much truly. But a celebrated person must have been consistent whith whatever he or she is doing while others are loosing steam and are getting discouraged.

We have to be up and doing at whatever we are doing before the glory come. You have to constantly give it your best at all time. We are usually discouraged when all our diligency is not noticed, and people that are less hardworking than us are taking glory. The truth is that, the day your glory will come, you may not know before hand, it may come suddenly, and if it come that way, will it meet you still diligent at your work? Or already discouraged?

Hard work does not kill, but laziness does.
Diligence brings honour and glory!
Keep doing good, your glory is at hand.
Glorious morning to you. How was your night?

Romans 12: 11 ' Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.'

Some years ago, it was believed that you have to quit your secular job before you can serve God in the church. But now, it has been discovered that the best way to preach the Gospel is by doing so through our secular jobs and works.

We have to learn how to manage our job and our spiritual life well. Our fervency in the spirit should not be an excuse for a poor performance at work or in the school. And our quest for promotion and success should not take away the place and time of God away in our life.

And in conclusion, we have to serve God through our work. If people find it difficult to believe that you are child of God at your work place, that means you have failed God in that aspect. Our life should be a replica of bible that point people to christ always in the course of our work.

God will bless you specially today. And you shall enjoy the favour of God today and beyond in Jesus name.

Proverb 6:9-10 'How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of hands to sleep: so shall thy poverty come as one that traveleth...'

Sleep is part of the natural process we have to go through to maintain a good and sound health. However, a lot of people have become slave to sleep! Or how do you explain someone that says sleeping is his or her hubby? Many people find themselves sleeping at a very crucial point of their destiny, when a hot message is coming out in church that can change and transform their life, people sleep during classes, for no obvious reasons, all these kind of sleep is capable to make someone poor and have a stagnant life.

Their is no successful person on earth that will not have discipline in terms of sleeping. Great men strategize at night when ordinary men sleep, and reap during the day when men struggles.

Their is a spirit of sleep, which is a demon, until you overcome this spirit through prayer and discipline, you may not enjoy your desired success.

Good morning. Have a fruitful day ahead.

Happy public holiday!!!

1Cor 4:1-2 'Let a man so account of us, as of the minister of christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.'

It is very hard to find a faithful person nowadays, especially in business and at places of work. People now inflate prices of thing so as to get a little share of the money, people changes figures, people window dresses accounts, people writes false time of resumption to work and people lie to any length to get promotions and a few benefits including terminal leaves. All these and many more are all unfaithfulness.
You have to constantly know that we are an ambassador of Christ wherever we find ourselves, we should not do anything that may bring reproach to the name of christ.
If you are not faithful in the small that God has given you, He can't give you a better one to handle.

Remain faithful and be bless.
Good Morning.

Hebrew 12:5 'And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children. My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord nor faint when thou are rebuked of him.

There are several ways by which God can correct us when we disobey Him. In the first instance, you can't know if God is correcting you if you have never been His child! It is only the people that have worked with God, and that knows how He works that can only understand Him when He is trying to correct them.

We should learn to see God's correction in a positive way, as a way that He has laid for us to ensure that we get to heaven at last. Don't run away from church in times like that, don't stop serving God when you think He is taking some actions on you that you are not ok with.

And above all, learn to be obedient to God, and keep all His commandments.

It shall be well with you.
Good morning. How was your public holiday?

Proverb 1:8-9 'My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother. For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head and chains about thy neck.

God has placed our parent in a very unique position for us. They are to guild us and build us until when we are strong enough to stand on our own.

It is very obvious that most often than non, we do have issues with our parents as regards their point of views on things. But as a christian, we should know that God gave us to them for a purpose, and we should try our best to ensure that we respect them and their words( especially the ones that are not against the words of God). A lot of us forget about the little, little instructions they gave us when we were under their care, we tend to enjoy the little freedom we now have, and most often, regret usually follow this deviation.

Respect your parents and heed to their advice, pray for them to lead you right. And the glory of the Lord will never depart from you.
Good morning. Have a lovely day.

3 John 4 'I have no greater Joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.'

Can you still remember all those spiritual virtues our parent thought us when we were still very young? Do you still remember all the things we were thought at the sunday school back in those days? How many of those things do we still practice now?

If we are doing well spiritually, and have a very good moral life, it will be a thing of joy to our parents. A lot of children today are a source of sadness to their parent as a result of how they are living their life. We all owe our parent happiness. We have to live our life in such a way that we will be a source of joy to our parent by walking always in the 'truth', which is the word of God.

Be a point of joy today to your parent today, walk in the truth of God.

Good morning. Have a fruitful day ahead.

Eph 6:5 'Servant, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ'

This bible passage is talking to those of us that are under authority. It is emphasizing the need for us to serve faithfully. It is not good enough to think you need not to be faithful to your boss simply because he is not a good christian, or you think he is cheating you in one way or the other.
This passage is telling us that you need to serve and obey your master just as you will do to christ. Be faithful to your seniors colleagues at work, be loyal to the authority, and do your work with singleness of heart and total dedication.

However, you have to ensure that the instruction they pass across to you is not against the will of God. Don't fear man and sin again God.

Good morning. Have a great weekend.

Eph 6:2-3 'Honour thy father and thy mother(which is the first commandment of promise). That it may be well with thee and that mayest live long on the earth'

Respect to parent is not only an obligation, its a means to divine blessing to us. Apart from showing them their deserved respect, the best honour we can give to our parent is to surpass their expectation of us, and make them proud. Bringing glory to them through our achievements and successes, they should be able to raise their shoulders high in the society as regard to our successes.

Apart from this above stated fact, financially also we have responsibility to take care of their financial needs, even when they don't ask. We have to honour them with our substances, we have to take care of them and make them happy. When we do all these, the blessing is crystal clear, and it shall not elude us in Jesus name.

Good morning. Have a blessed day ahead

Eph 6:12 'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places'

This week we are going to be talking about 'The whole armour of God'
But we have to understand the reasons why we need to put on the whole armour of God. In our text this morning the bible made us to understand what we as christians are up against. Different wicked powers in different realm are going to attempt to subdue us and take us away from christ and make us a slave to satan. Like the bible says, these powers are not physical, they are not what our strength and intelligence can handle. The only effective weapon we can use against them is the whole armour of God.

If any christian does not have this armour of God or a component of it, am sure you and I knows the implication of been exposed to spiritual wickedness and other powers.
Your sure bet is Christ this evening.
How was your weekend?

Eph 6:13 'wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand'.

We started introducing the need for God's armour yesterday. But our text today emphasized two things: 'WHOLE' and STAND. The armour of God has components which we shall study in the course of this week devotion. Notice the important reason why we need the whole armour, first is, so that we can be able to withstand in the evil day. This definitely means, evil day will surely come to every believer, inasmuch as we still leave in this world, the bible made us understand that days are full of evil. The whole armour of God is what we can use to withstand any form of evil that may come to us.

The overall importance of this 'whole armour' is not only to defend(withstand), but also to STAND in victory over sin and over satan and his cohort. Check your life today, if your are not gallantly standing, it means one or more of your God's armour component is missing.

Make amend now, before its too late, and always note that the armour must be WHOLE or you won't be protected at all.

Good morning. Have a nice day ahead.

Eph 6:14a 'Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with the truth.'

Yesterday we saw that the essence of arming ourselves with the whole armour of God is to STAND over sin, satan, principality and powers, and to stand in victory before christ. Today's text is also laying emphasis on the the need for us to STAND!
The first arm we need to lunch of into the realm of victory in Christ is the Truth. The bible says, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. A true christian should sail in the ocean of truth. The truth which is Jesus christ. This is the first step to having a victorious life. The truth of Jesus should be our strength that we live on normally. If we have the truth in us, deceit of satan and his cohort will not have a place in our heart.

There is no way you will walk in this truth without walking faithfully with Christ.
Are you walking faithfully and perfectly with Him as of the present? Its never too late to start of with Him and live a victorious life.

Good morning. It is well with u today and beyond in Jesus name.

Eph 6:14b 'And having on, the breast plate of righteousness.'

Breast plate in an armour protects the chest region where the engine of the body is located(heart). The heart is one of the most sensitive part of the body that enemies always target, because it is much easy to end a man's life by attacking the heart.

Salvation is what protect our soul from the attacks of satan. It qualifies us as God's own, and it makes us enjoys the unshakable protection of God.
It therefore means that our salvation is a subject of great interest to the devil.
Protect and guild your salvation jealously, and if you have no salvation as of now, am not happy to tell you that you are at a very very great risk of been pummeled be the devil and his incarnate. Make use of the mercy of the Lord this morning and ask Him to come into your life.

It shall be well with your soul. Good morning. Have a wonderful day.

Gospel means good news. Gospel of peace means, good news on eternal peace that christ is offering us. You can not afford to be idle, you have to also tell people of the intending danger ahead, tell them what they need do to be secured.

Eph 6:16 'Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.'

To say that christian race is always very smooth may not be totally correct, there are ups and down, there are challenges, there are trials, there are temptations, and there are spiritual attacks. And all these won't stop as long as u are a christian, they keep coming to test your resolve in Christ.

Our faith in Christ is what can sustain us through all these difficulty. Faith in our salvation, faith in the second coming of Christ, faith in His sufficiency and faith in His ability to totally protect us. Without faith, we will however be tossed to and fro without having bearing.

To be a successful christian, you have to develop your faith to the extent at which Job said, 'eventhough He slayet me, I will keep trusting in Him'. To me I think this is an absolute faith in God. Until we reach this level of faith, our christianity will still be in question.

Develop your faith and become an overcomer.
Good morning. Happy weekend.

Eph 6:17a 'And therefore, take the helmet of salvation...'

Salvation is the foundation of our christian life, without it, all other component of our armour are in vain. The same way we have fake protective helmet these days is the same way we have fake salvation. But do not be deceived, God is not mocked. A genuine salvation is known by you, God, and people around. If you have never had an encounter with God, it means you have not been genuinely saved.

Re examine your christian life today, and ask yourself, is your helmet fake or original?

Eph 6:17b '...And the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God'.

Sword perform double functions, it can be use in defense purposes as well as attack purposes. Unlike other armours that are meant to protect us at one point or the other, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God is also our weapon to fight and overcome the enemy.

Imagine, if you have a sword and you don't even know what it can do, or its functions, or the sword is so blunt that it can't even hurt the air, simply because you have not been updating your arsenal by meditating on your bible. A christian without a sound and vibrant word of God is not only a defenseless christian, but also a powerless christian.

Read, meditate, and digest the word of God today and use it to fight, and overcome the enemy.
Good morning. Have a nice day ahead.
