what has being pikin gotta do with this? i buy albums based on the reviews i read about it. eldee sugarcoated this project like it's the best from the coast of africa. naturally, m.i's reputation precedes him and i felt he's capable of releasing a classic but i was so disappointed with the whole stuffs. by a distance, da vinci mode was better and ruggedman's untouchable was also gold!
reviews in this case means not just one review!
so y put the blame on eldee?

ure missing the point . . . . lol
u said there are only a few wiv so much money in naija, and we know them!
so how come no1 knows dis guy's father?
Music/RadioRe: Nigerian Parents Paid Rick Ross $100,000 To Attend Son's Birthday by tosinaded(m): 5:06pm On Dec 17, 2010
Ibime:
Let's get one thing straight.

Someone who spends 100k for a peerformer to attend a ten year olds birthday obviously has hundreds of millions.

We know those in our political and economic sphere who are worth such amount. There are a limited bunch, and we all know them by name.

Even the "cleanest" of these hundred millionaires/billionaires such as Adenuga and Jimoh Ibrahim have detailed history as political rentiers ie (people who collect rents from the Nations resources). Dangote et al likewise. Most of their businesses are based on procurement and waivers from Government.

So please don't ask us if it is our money cos it IS our money.

Show me a nucca in Nigeria who made close to a billion dollars just by marketing products and I WILL SAY FAIR PLAY if he obscenely spend $100k on Ricky Rozay.
contradiction!

we obviously dont know the father of this boy, yet him na billionaire!

@tosin- i would, but as i said i skimmed thru it, it's probably just not my thing. where are the hard beats? (eg. crowd mentality, safe, anoti)
the beats are so. . . *yuck*. i thought i was listening to a d'banj/kelly hansome album.

he made this album to appeal to the masses. and he succeeded. thats cool. lets just see how illegal music 2 goes. . .

@eldee- nope. MI2 is not good hip-hop music. no way.
exactly my point. . . . and he couldnt av achieved that if it was a bad album! and yeah its good hip-hop music!
i could agree wiv u, if u think its not a good RAP album

You are either agreeing with me or I cant get the picture here. Cos you are re-echoing my previous point. Gucci vs Timex
I'm saying money can be spent on anything the owner likes. I wouldnt judge any1 who spends lavishly on his kids irrespective of the source.
good. . . . .

Basildon1:
There are people earning little or nothing and spend their lives going to underdeveloped countries to teach little children how to read. What makes you different from them - CHOICE! Shall I judge you based on that?
examples? people who earn little or nothing need help my friend! people who have more actually help them. . . . .

Basildon1:
The point is whether a huge sum of money is spent on philantrophy/helping the needy OR a kid's party, it remains the choice of the owner to spend it how he wants. It doesnt even help that 90% of d time IN NAIJA, it wasnt hard earned
who says money is meant for helping peeps alone? do u spend all ur money on philantrophic acts?
dont u spend the bulk of what u make on urself and people u love?

so because its 100k dollars, the owner wasted it?
i bought a shoe 6k yesterday and i was like damn thats a lot of money to sum people. . . . . . . those particular set of people will actually call me a thief, or call my father a thief, why? becos they see 6k as big money thats shouldnt be wasted on a shoe!

thats life for u, the more u make the more u spend. . the more ur taste of things!
at a stage in life u look for the cheapest, the more u make money, u begin to feel like if its not expensive then its fake or substandard!

after listening to this album of m.i. several times, i realized it's just hype and no substance. the post-production crew should be sent to iraq for some sharia punishment. the album didn't score with me. granted, m.i showed his power of lyricism but the track lay-out was rubbish. whoever arranged the tracks screwed up. too many unnecessary skits and fillers. m.i. ends several tracks with unnecessary rants and he goes "you wanna dance with the devil, then let's go". under normal circumstances, the next track should start with a banging beat to keep the listener on the edge but what did m.i. give us? . . .another boring instrumental that takes another 20 secs before the beat bangs. it's a disgrace - m.i. should know better. as far as i am concerned, mode-9's 'da vinci mode' was more entertaining. the whole m.i. and waje drama just ruined everything - if m.i. shouldn't have bothered deceiving us he was doing something phat - he should have just done another trapped in the closet version 2.0 like r.kelly.
lmao. . . .tooo many skits?
its called M.I.2 the movie. . . .

people dey complain of lyrics, u dey complain of track arrangement and production and skit?
my friend, the production, arrangement and skits are all perfect
dunno wut u listened to, mayb u bought a fake album

Na wa o, legit or not legit, i think i still stick with the main point, #IsItReallyYourMoney

Would it have been better if the LOOTED money was spent WISELY? Honestly, some preachy posts here are just plain ridiculous.

Money is spent in relation to what you have. I may buy a Gucci timepiece for £695 and you buy a Timex for £40. They both tell time but I can afford more. Some people rent cheap clowns for their kid's b'day, someone rents Rick Ross. Different strokes, deal with it!!
define wisely abeg!

@Eldee
I hope you are being paid for promoting this whack-a$$ album. Cos if not you nor only fall my hand you amputate am join! There are better albums like B.A.N.S and H.O.D out there! I am better off buying a bottle of Alomo than that piece of whackness
excuse me? ure kidding right?
B.A.N.S?  common mehn. . . .  what exactly do u want in an album?
the production of all the tracks on BANS isnt as good as just one track on M.I.2. . . .

u think dropping a rap album is all about spitting metaphors and multies? why do we av mixtapes?

M.I.2 is a complete album abeg, every1 relates with that album!

hip hop head o, raggae head o, highlife head o, young, old, evry fukkn person alive will like M.I.2, cos he made music!

mc_bhydemi:
Bro, i accept your view,
I don't like music (or what most people call music) I'm more of a hiphop fan, more into d lyrics,
Most hiphop lyricists are referred to as poets, so its normal for me to listen to peom, shey
M.i, normally is a poet(illegal music as reference)
I guess he made a music album ( as u say)
100% analysis, very much on point bro

I have rightly expressed my opinion, and u have expressed urs too & i take no offenses from that thou
lyrics my friend, dont sell albums neither does it get u shows!. . . . .  music does! ask modenine.  . . . . . .
its only logical to make music on your album. . .  and leave the rest for mixtapes!
mixtapes are free. . . . . . .

Poverty mentality! its crazy mehn, and it affects me also!
we av to be rich, before our mindset can change i swear!
not every1 that spends money anyhow is a thief. . . . . . . . we need to understand that.

aint sayn the guy's parents are thieves or not o. . . . just tut i chip that in, cos of the likes of audio lipsrsealed

audio:
Eldee's way of thinking is a pointer to everything that is wrong with Nigeria. Nobody who legitimately earned 100,000 dollars will blow it on bringing Rick Ross to a 10years olds birthday party. The money is obviously looted.
I don't know how old Eldee is, but i'm assuming he's a young guy. The next generation. Nigeria truly has no future. Very sad
