blues20: Predictably, this is where you're driving to. ......agreed, can you back your claims with at least 10 names and the group they fall into? It's simply a name that's not known with SE people. Give me, just one example? |

Ojiofor: I am chilling and no stress my friend but you have to do a little research before you run into conclusion. What we are talking about here is that people from Ebonyi and Enugu states bear Ovia and a little reseach will convince you. Btw,I don't care if Jim Ovia is Igbo or not. Could you do me a favor? Now, Google that name " Ovia " you will found it commonly use among SS or without SE people. |

blues20: You are trying hard to sound like a con man.... if you claim that Ovia is not an Igbo name, then which group is it related to, and whats the meaning? Kindly help us out. No need for this infinite loop you've stuck me to. It's simply, no an ibo name. Such name is common among the SS people or without SE people. |

Ojiofor: You are wrong and you have limited knowledge about Igbo people,Igbo is too big and diverse for you be to so sure of your position in this matter. Go to facebook and use their search engine and type the name Ovia, I am very sure the result will disappoint you. There are so many people bearing Ovia from Enugu and Ebonyi state. Relax my friend. Almost every tribe in nigeria has diversity including in names and culture. So,what are we talking about here |
Politics › Re: Most Technicians In Kano Are From South; While Untrained Indigenes Beg - Sanusi by totit: 3:49pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
blues20: But you failed to mention the group that bears "Ovia" with corresponding living example. Lets assumed Ovia is not Igbo, as you're claiming, what language is it then, and to which group is it associated with? You've just proved me right. You,initially " claimed "unique ibo names with unique group ". Then, I asked you to provide one that " Ovia " as a name is predominant use or rarely common! But? You failed. Then again, no ibo, both within and without group ,within SE bears that name " Ovia? And then you are now asking which group or origin the name originated from OfCourse bro, without Ibo group abeg |
Politics › Re: Most Technicians In Kano Are From South; While Untrained Indigenes Beg - Sanusi by totit: 3:28pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
blues20: Can you kindly state the groups that bear "Ovia" as a name... followed with examples? Exactly my point, and I quote you : [b]Every Igbo group do have names that are unique to them[b] •First and foremost, in all alaigbo you could identify nor find any man or woman bearing ' OVIA '. My first point. • Now,if' OVIA' doesn't exist within SE and could only be found without her, being delta state, nigeria plus the fact that in his biography it states " Jim OVIA ' hail from delta state. Now couple with the fact that, so far there is no group among the so called ibo without and within SE bearing that name(you couldn't even identified one) as you claimed..? Then what are talking about here¿ |
Politics › Re: Most Technicians In Kano Are From South; While Untrained Indigenes Beg - Sanusi by totit: 3:16pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
blues20: .... and my post from the onset stated that Ovia literally translates to forest, in my dialect, which could mean the same thing in Ika-Igbo, though not sure until them, felas here confirm it. Don't also forget that names, in Igboland, can stem from the circumstances surrounding ones birth..... I'm not an authority on this matter, but Ovia/Ofia/Ohia means forest in Igbo language, depending on the dialect. I have heard of OVIA but predominantly among..without ibo people. No man, human bears forest," OVIA " be it within, without nor among ibo people. Except you can prove otherwise,or better still provide the so called " group " that such name exist therein. |

blues20: Certainly not. Using the "fuvck" word does not indicate emotional heat-up. I'm use to it man. But get the information, every Igbo group do have names that are unique to them. Your assertion that only one man bears Ovia in the whole of ali-'Igbo is ridiculous. If you can back it up with fact, then you're talking. For now, you're just sounding like them felas trying to cook up facts from the wind. No red feeling niga. Dude, names are synonymous and connected to every source, tribe and/or origin of every man. And just like you mentioned earlier some ibo names are unique ... and I quote : [b]Every Igbo group do have names that are unique to them[b] So,what group are we talking about here, within and without ibo people, bearing or where name such as OVIA ' is know with? |

blues20: I'm sure you are matured enough to understand my write-up? Did you not get the fuvcking message on "uniqueness"? From where did you get your statistic Mr Man? Only one man? Nawa Don't get worked up already. But if you ain't ready to calm down and act mature then...let go of my mention. Until you can prove to us why OVIA only exist without SE and not among ibo people your argument remain baseless. |

blues20: [b]Every Igbo group do have names that are unique to them[b].... e.g. the Ikwerres are fond of Amadi..... I'm not verse on the Ika-Igbo names, but I think there is a thread on that here. Dig it out for yourself. Besides, I have never seen any Igbo group bearing names as egboke, Anyim, Obassy, Izuka, Dinne, etc. These are names that are peculiar to Ebonyians,as other Igbo groups do have names that are unique to them. So, there is nothing like trying to manipulate the name to suite my purpose. I just gave you a literal translation, which I'm sure is correct, except otherwise, but any Ika-Igbo fela can correct me, if I'm wrong. Thanks. So, how come in the whole of alaigbo we only have one OVIA ? Need I also remind you that there are few yoruba names that have meanings in ibo dialect and vice versa? |
Politics › Re: Most Technicians In Kano Are From South; While Untrained Indigenes Beg - Sanusi by totit: 2:00pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
blues20: Ovia could mean forsest. In my Ebonyi dialect, Ivo in particular, we use Ovia for forest, while other Igbos may use Ofia or Ohia to mean forest. So in this context, Ovia could mean forest. However, Ika-Igbo people on this forum can give you more accurate translation, if I'm wrong. You are just manipulating the name bro. No ibo man within and without SE bears OVIA. |

You are what you want to be,whom you choose to be and where you choose to belong. But the truth is? You can't take away a man from his source. aribisala0: Over 95% of manufacturing in Nigeria happenso in Lagos and Ogun . You boast so much about On its ha and still come to Lagos to load provisions on to the coaches /buses that take you home. The only manufacturing you do is counterfeiting and that is how you killed Akunyuli. You may be big in your own eyes but reality is different. The only thing you are good at is trading which is a tiny part of business. The biggest sector in Nigeris remains agriculture and you are irrelevant. Tell us what you produce that we all buy You still come to I bad an to buy day old chicks. The only thing you are good at is boasting foolishly and arrogantly. People are making things happen everywhere from all over but the moment any one of you does anything you start your nonsense. Thank God Dangote is not one of you but he could not be because you only employ your own. Don't mind those bunch of delutional, chest beating bunch whom goes about claiming warrior, pulling, figures without any form of facts to back it. They claim they have more SMEs yet Oyo has more SMEs than all SE states.
