Spoiler alert, i am not writing an inspirational or moral story. I have a feeling someone (lenmafon) may be disappointed at this point. ![]() I'd like to think this is a satire but i may be wrong. Feel free to make up your mind at the end of the story. |
fareedah86:I hope its not too late. Thanks everyone. Zyzxx i saw your mention on that thread. I trust you are well... |
AncientJerk:In Nigeria we tend to make a lot of excuses for the rapist. We want to punch holes in the story of victims. We are quick to line behind the back of a rapist especially if he is a seemingly big man in the society. |
Thats a good reply. She has to be seen aligning with women's right in this case. Co incidentally that is the path she has always chosen. If she says otherwise she stands to lose alot. She can always make up with her brother but for now she has spoken well. |
d men on this thread are simply amazing |
Big congratulations to the winner. However if we were voting strictly on good looks alone, Kulboy would have won it. I think that's crystal clear to most people. I think these days people tend to vote based on how popular or well liked a candidate is on Nairaland. Thankfully i think they were able to avoid that in the female version. Anyway I don't think i'd let that sway me cos at the end of the day; what does the winner get to do anyway? I'd rather vote the fine face person (who truly deserves it) cos either way they do nada! |
joliematt:Thanks Jolie.. |

Sorry i was unable to post an update last night. Gal10 thanks for the shout out on that thread; it was humbling. |
systacee:Thanks I really appreciate. You are free to send the link to friends and loved ones. What you should not do is copy the story and paste anywhere without my permission. Thanks once again. |

gal10:Not at all i like it when people talk about what they have read or observed from my story. Unfortunately as much as i'd like to rub minds, i cant talk too much so i don't take sides and ruin the story. |
zyzxx:Tongue blasting, holy ghost firing, devil chasing child of the most high God. You dont wanna mess with me! Hope your week has been good. |
She had unknowingly passed on too much information but was not prepared to bell the cat. She was no stranger to tale of people fainting, running crazy or slipping into some unknown medical condition after receiving bad news and she was not willing to sponsor this trip. She remained silent for some seconds while her head was bowed low. Her heart was racing fast but her speech was well composed. ''Sister Ulo, listen and listen to me well. I don’t have anything further to add. Go home and let your husband confirm the identity of the strange woman. The lord is your strength.'' She placed her hand on Ulo’s arm leading her towards her car. Her grip was surprisingly firm for such a small woman. The moment Ulo was safely seated, Sister Bunmi vanished as quick as a flash. The drive home was one of the longest in Ulo’s life. A lot of names passed through her mind but she dismissed all of them. There were too many women in the prayer group and trying to guess was killing her. It was impossible to even picture anyone she knew. At several points during the journey, she yelled at the driver ''what is the problem today? How could you let that small car overtake you? Step on it my friend!'' The moment her driver stopped the car, she ran inside the house like a woman whose hair was on fire. Dennis was seated on a sofa watching the news and sipping a drink. He looked at her in fright as she approached. It was a good thing he jumped before she could grab him. ''Tell me her name. Say that name before I stab you'' Ulo screamed smashing the wine bottle on the floor. |

I like this qoute by Abraham Lincoln "I may be slow walker, but I've never moved backward". I can say that of myself as well. One thing about my life is that every new step I take, I get better with it almost immediately. When I was making a certain amount of money, I wanted to change, just recently, my digit changed and it has been consistent. Even in the areas of my academic pursuit from Primary school to my university days. When I catch up on things, I do it with such a great speed and regularity. That's why I don't like to drink and smoke cos once I start, I don't know what will happen. What I'm saying now is that from today onward, I'll travel by air more often than even many many people who have been doing it way before me. I'm going to travel out soon...I'm going to learn to swim, I'm going to try so many new good things. I've learnt my lessons.@contactmorak you sound like an adventurous person; enjoy yourself bros |
